AN:- Okay folks. So this is the last chapter to this story thus ending this for good. I hope you've all enjoyed reading this as much as I have writing it. I have tried to incorporate a little bit of humour into this (well at least I hope it's funny), so I hope you enjoy.
Disclaimer- I do not own any of these characters. These all belong to a marvellous man known as Dan Schneider.
Chapter 11- The Conclusion
As Jade's party roared in protest, the large heavy door burst open for the second time, this time with the gang filing in one by one.
"WAIT! Stop! We have evidence!" Andre yelled, gasping for air as he braced his hands on his knees to catch his breath. "We have evidence to say Jade West is not guilty!"
Gasps erupted around the room, some in outrage and some in surprise. Fiona shot up from her seat but was pulled back down instantly by her lawyer. Fiona's father instead stood from his own, turning around to face Andre.
"I don't know who you are young man but this is highly inappropriate and I advise you back out of this room at once." The man started to yell in exasperation, the room falling silent as their attention was turned to the front. The judge stood from her seat, her presence seeming to loom over the entire room.
"I will decide what is and isn't appropriate. And I suggest you keep your mouth shut in future before the court. It is not your place to pass judgement. Any evidence to come before me will be evaluated." The judge turned her eyes to stare back at the group, beckoning for him to continue.
"What is this evidence you have brought me?"
The gang stood aside, letting a middle aged balding man walk down the centre towards the front stand.
"I am Dr. Freeman. The doctor who treated Miss Fiona here." His eyes looked nervously over at his client's party, clearly on edge and anxious to be speaking out against the wealthy family.
"I was paid $15,000, your Honour, to keep quiet and fake this girl's doctor's certificate." The man confessed, the room once again erupting into hushed voices of outrage.
Jade stared at the man in shock, still grasping at the new evidence, her heart still pounding loudly in her chest from the prospect of going to jail. She couldn't believe the extent this girl had gone to frame the goth girl and to get the guy. Instead of giving her a look of fury and disgust, she couldn't help but feel a little sorry for her. It wasn't too long ago she would have balled her hands into fists and let her anger out on the girl. A lot had changed since then.
The judge contemplated this new evidence, all eyes once again to the front of the room.
"And do you have evidence to support this claim?" She asked, willing to hear out all possibilities. The doctor gave a nod of his head, instantly reaching for his folder and pulled out a single sheet of paper. He headed for the front of the room, handing the evidence to one of the men standing in front of the desk and stood back, allowing for her to observe the new information. After a long pause her eyes finally moved from the piece of paper, her face blank from all expression.
"It would seem Dr. Freeman was smart enough to get an official document written, clearly stating their agreement. Along with a copy of his bank statement, marked as the same date as this letter which shows $15,000 in his account." Whispers and hushed voices broke out across the room, the jury and judge unable to defy the new evidence. Jade's attention went back to her group of friends, her throat closing as unshed tears threatened to escape. She never would have thought they'd go to such lengths to help her, not after everything she'd done to them over the years. But here they were, coming up with possibly enough evidence to prove her innocence.
"Jadelyn West, you have been found not guilty of the charge of grievous bodily harm and you are free to go before the court." The room was silent with shock, no one unable to speak or move.
"Mr. Lincoln. I sentence you to 2 years at the Los Angeles State Prison for deception of documentation and lying before the court. Miss Fiona Lincoln, I sentence you to 2 months in the Los Angele's Juvenile Detention Centre for deception and lying before the court." Fiona's father stared frozen, his mouth hung open in disbelief. The gang erupted into cheers as Cat flung her arms around the goth girl, squealing in delight as the others came over to join the circle. Jade watched as the two men at the front handcuffed Mr. Lincoln and his daughter before leading them out of the side door, and out of their lives.
Epilogue-
Later that night, the gang had all gathered at Mrs. Valentine's house in celebration over Jade's victory. Once they'd arrived home after a long day (and after all the hugs the group insisted on giving her), Jade sat back on couch with the perky red head, enjoying the fact that she wasn't about to head for a jail cell.
A loud knock had sounded at the door and Jade looked over to see a giggling Cat beside her.
"Go and open it." Was all she said before turning her attention back to the TV with a knowing smile. Jade shrugged and answered the door, only to be met by all the people from Hollywood Arts, their friends at the front of the group.
"We brought soda." Tori told her cheerily, a huge grin on her face which reflected the others. Jade had broken out into an equally big grin before stepping aside to let them all in.
The party had gone off without a hitch, the atmosphere light and fun as their victory hung in the air. Jade wandered over to her friends, a can of soda instantly being put into her hand.
"I honestly can't thank you all enough. I'd be sitting in a cell if it weren't for you guys." She thanked them, leaning slightly against Mrs. Valentine's kitchen counter top.
"Ehh, it was no big. All it took was a little stakeout and patience." Andre replied casually, taking a long sip from his drink.
"And pancakes." Rex added, the others nodding in agreement. Jade paused, an earlier question popping into her head.
"How did you get the lawyer to talk? Surely he wouldn't have agreed to give evidence so easily." The group grew silent at her question, all deep in thought over that morning's events.
Andre dangled the boxed figurine dangerously over the two foot goldfish tank as Beck and Robbie held the blubbering doctor back.
"Say you'll do! Say you'll give evidence or this box takes a swim with the fish!" Tori screamed, the lid to the tank in her hand as the chaotic scene played out before them.
"NO! I won't do it!" The doctor yelled, sweat pouring from his clammy face at the prospect of losing one of his precious Star Wars collectables. Andre lowered the box closer to the water, the tip of the cardboard just touching the water as the goldfish swam below, hoping to be fed.
"DO IT!"
"Fine! FINE! I will! Just don't let Princess Leia get ruined! That's a collectible worth abou-…"
"Yeah we don't care about your stupid dolls man." Rex told him matter of factly as Andre sat the box down on his shelf, the blubbering man instantly running towards the box to inspect its damage.
"It was pretty easy after that." Rex said casually, a smile breaking out over Jade's face as she pictured the scene.
"If only I could have been there. Sounds like my kind of fun." She smirked wickedly, liking the sound of using it as a blackmail tool.
The group broke off to mingle with others, leaving Jade to finish off her drink and take a seat on the living room couch.
"How does it feel to be free?" Beck asked, taking a seat beside her on the large three seater counter and handed her a can of Dr. Pepper.
"You can't even imagine." She told him, opening her second drink for the night with a 'pop'. Beck fell silent as he watched the others mingle, some dancing to the music on the stereo while others talking loudly among themselves.
"I really am sorry for the mess I put you in. I should have known she was bad news and I should have backed you up." Beck began to apologise but before he could continue, Jade laid her hand gently on top of his which rested on his knee.
"You couldn't have known what she was like." She replied simply, offering him a small smile. Her eyes moved from his face, to a perky red head who was chatting and bouncing around with Tori and Andre.
"You really like her, don't you?" Beck suddenly spoke, not oblivious to the way her eyes followed Cat around the room wherever she went. Jade contemplated hiding it, but knew Beck knew her better than anyone else; except for maybe Cat.
"I do." Jade replied, her voice full of awe as she continued to watch her dance. Beck took a deep breath as he gently placed his hand on her shoulder.
"You should go for it." He heard the breath leave her as he said those words, her eyes tearing away from the girl and back to her friend beside her. She could feel the tears in the corners of her eyes, completely and utterly overwhelmed with it all.
"Thank you." Jade spoke sincerely, the most grateful she had been her entire life. She knew at that moment that those words were exactly what she needed to hear, from the exact same person who needed to say them. Jade leaned over, and in a brief show of kindness placed a small thankful kiss on his cheek. She finally realised at that moment that he was letting her go, allowing her to follow the path she wanted and not feel like he was holding her back.
Jade quickly wiped her eyes, smiling softly at the guy she had loved before standing up to approach the red head. She found her where she was before, talking loudly with Tori among the crowd. Her heart thumped loudly in her chest as she approached, fighting the urge to turn and run in the opposite direction. Before Cat could say anything, Jade gently took her hand and pulled her close, their lips meeting in a soft but urgent kiss. She didn't want to stop, even as the entire room erupted into cheers and claps, even as the music died down. All she could feel were Cat's soft lips on hers, moving effortlessly against her own.
Finally the pair pulled away, both a little breathless as they looked into each other's eyes. Neither knew what to say and before Jade could speak, Cat gently leaned up, brushing her lips gently against the goth girl's. Jade broke out into a smile, finally feeling content and happy.
"Thank you." The small girl whispered, her fingers intertwining with Jade's. The music resumed as the party continued on, people moving all around them as their lips met once more.
No one knew what the future would hold. Both had wishes and dreams they wished to fulfill and as long as they had each other, they knew they could do anything.

AN:- Okay, so that's the end of that one I'd like to once again apologise about my lack of knowledge on court proceedings. If I had any of the details wrong then I sincerely apologise. I'd also like to thank every one of you who have stuck with this story despite its suckiness at times. In all honesty I write better when I love a show. This fan fiction was started quite a while ago and I've moved on from it. But I wanted to complete it because having stories on here that aren't complete bug me and I did promise you all that I would. I won't be writing anymore with this fandom, instead I have moved onto the compelling and gory world of The Walking Dead. Ahh yes, times really have changed. Thank you all again for following this. Happy reading and writing :)
