Zeelee-Vallen: A Hinata gamer story! I already have so many, but I just had to post this one.
The POV will change between Hinata and her teammates, but will mostly be around Hinata. It will also go from the game world to real life, just to make things fun.
Update September 2021: I will be redoing this one! Gonna make it a bit less like ½ prince(As much as I love ½ prince, I also want unique). Also changing it so its more futuristic! Sci-fi style. Gonna have some more mature themes too, and change in age. They are no longer in highschool, but university.
Warning: Once again... Reverse harem. Always a lovely time with me, friends.
We do not own Naruto.

Contrary to popular belief, Hinata loved playing AU games. Her, being a female, it was a surprise right? No, not really. That was an outdated opinion, very 2015.
But, being the heiress of an enormously large company, had to be why she didn't do games right? Still an outdated opinion, very 2030.
Then, the reason why she actually liked games had to be because she was a nerd, who was shy, right? Nope, still wrong, and very 2050. She liked games for the reality escaping aspect, as well as the ability to fight without actually hurting anyone physically. The best of both, really.
Despite the stigma that attempted to surround her, escaping into the virtual reality world made it all go away. Etiquette, manners, societal standards, anything to do with the real world; none of it mattered when she played. Gods, she was a master of all form of games. Who would expect, right?
Handheld and consoles were retro, but a favourite. They had been outdated since 2050, but made a come back in recent years. She took her handheld with her everywhere, and often played between classes or breaks. Some students would give her looks, but it was easier to ignore when playing.
The AU headsets were the next gen after consoles. They were very cool, and revolutionized the living in the game fantasy. However, they were limited for years. They could not simulate smell, touch, or pain. After many years, they were able to activate certain parts of the brain to simulate smell and pain, but touch was still being experimented with.
Then came AU pods. They were absolutely game changing! They were able to stimulate reality in any setting by placing your subconscious into that setting. You could touch, feel, smell, hear, and see everything. It started off at only 30% reality, but over the years became 80%. However, it had not changed from 80% reality in the last 10 years.
That was why Life was so exciting. It was an old school AU headset, but it tapped into the subconscious like the AU pods! However, it had 98% realism. The 80% plateau was finally being crushed! Expensive AU pods were being replaced with an affordable headset!
The first of its kind, and likely be the best of its kind for years to come.
She stared at her handhelds screen, her thumbs pressing buttons rapidly as she defeated armies of minions. Gods, she loved games.
Reality was hell. At home she had to be the prefect lady, a doll for her father; pretty, silent, and obedient. She was his successor, and because of that, she had to be perfect in front of him. At university, she was the nerd, the weirdo, the quiet one. Avoided, but no longer bullied. She did not attend the parties, nor the events, or anything else. She had acquaintances, but it was difficult to make friends after her struggles in high school. Perhaps it was better this way, as she had more time for her games.
The manly character on her screen did an ultimate move, effectively killing all the monsters around him. A ranking appeared on the screen, her gamer name on top.
Ah yes, after all, if she spent too much time with friends she would lose her position as top gamer in the world. Not that she needed the name... But she liked it. It was hers, and had nothing to do with being the heiress, nor the uni-loner.
She kept her nose to her game, playing an easy level as she walked to her dorm room. The people around her gave her strange looks, but it was easy to ignore them. Uni had only started 2 weeks ago, and the first years had already established friend groups and cliques. Well, not that it concerned her. She preferred to keep to herself in her dorm room anyway. More so, now that Life was being released.
The game was going to be activated at 8pm, so she had time to lounge around until it started. From the manual, it sounded as if you could sleep all night while playing it and still wake up feeling refreshed. It did not matter how long you were in game, as long as your bodily needs like hunger and bathroom breaks were taken care of, it did not affect your outside skills. It was great, as the UA pods could only be used for so many hours, and did not replace sleep.
Wait... Who was that leaning against her door? Her eyes widened when the persons head moved, their long brown hair revealing their face. It was Neji, her cousin. What was he doing here? He was usually out with his partners, Lee and Tenten.
"I heard Life is being activated today?" He asked, taking her by surprise. Neji was not one for games. He was much more the type of person to go play sports, or enjoy nature spots. She nodded though, confirming his question. "Lee and Tenten will be playing, so I decided too try it as well. Will I see you on there?" Her eyes widened, before she quickly nodded. Although cousins at the same uni, they were not particularly close. They had different interests. However, this was his first time taking initiative to play with her in years. It... Made her super happy. "I'll text you my user, later." He said rather nonchalantly before walking off. His room was a few doors down the hall.
"So… You're going to play Life?" She looked over to see Sasuke, whom had his keys in his door. His expression was slack, as if he couldn't be more bored as he pushed his door open. Sasuke was the second son of a huge company hers partnered with, so they were more then strangers. But, they never made it to friendship despite the years knowing each other. Mostly because he tended to keep to himself as well.
"Yes." She tried to smile, but she felt as if it was too strained. She stuck her keys in her door, preparing to retreat from the situation "See you-" She paused, wondering if it was the wrong wording. Ah, it was too late. She gave an awkward wave as she escaped into her room. "See you later!" She shut her door a bit too quickly.
Opps.

Zeelee-Vallen: I know, I know. I just had too, though. Next chapter will be interesting. I need to ask though! Who do you think should be in her party? Who should her potential love interest be?
