Hey everyone just wanted to say sorry for delay in getting anything up. I had a lot of trouble with my computer and decided to take a break until i got a new one. so this chapter isnt very long because i typed it up on my phone while taking a break at work. I hope y'all enjoy!
"How long are we going to have to sit here?" Natsu complained from the other end of the room. "It feels like we have been here for forever!"
"Calm down, we got here an hour ago. We were the closest to this place, and everyone left around the same time." I state where I sat on the stairs.
"Don't worry; we shall take care of you." A voice said from the top of the stairs. Suddenly 3 boys of about 17 years old slid down the banisters to the floor below, surrounding Lucy and Erza. The three began to pamper them head to foot with cakes, tea, and complements.
"This is rather strange; I never even sensed them here." Grey muttered from the shadows by the banisters. "I wonder if that's one of their powers."
"Step away from my lady Titania!" Said another voice from atop the staircase.
Erza's face dropped into one of shock and fear before she spoke in a hushed voice. "No… please let that not be him… it can't be Ichiya."
"Oh but it is." Said the short man who came down the stairs, sliding down the hand railing. His long hair covered most of his face as he looked up and said "You still have a lovely Parfume."
Before anyone could react, she kicked him in the direction of the door, only to have his flight stopped by a wall of ice. "Now is that any way to great someone?" the boy said, his hand out and the other in his pocket.
"LEON?" Grey shouted. "What the hell are you doing here?"
Natsu's eyes lit up as he slammed his fists together. "If there's going to be a fight then I want to be in the middle!" the flames began to pour from in between his knuckles.
"Natsu, Remember what the master said. I'm in charge of our guild on this mission. There will be no fighting unless the target makes contact. Now then who are the strategists for the other guilds?"
I ask pressing my hands to the floor to make a table and chair for myself. I drew paper and a pen from my backpack and began to take notes over everyone in the room.
One of the 3 boys who had first shown up walked over and glanced over my shoulder. "So you like to keep it old fashioned do ya? Let me show you the information we have so far." He waved his hand in front of him and a keyboard and screen digitally appeared in the air. He began to type and bring up the rosters for both our team and those of the Oración Seis. "My Archive allows me to process information and even send it to others."
"Sounds like you already have me beat out then." I say with a chuckle. "Well tell me this, can it tell me what teams would work best together? Take into account the kind of magic, physical strength, and the kinds of magic out opponents will be using."
Hibiki began to type away and bring up rosters for both our teams and the Oración Seis. The terminal began to shift and change as he input the information. "Wait, it seems like we're missing the member from Cait Shelter."
"Well I guess we're going to have to-"I began as I saw a shadow in the doorway. Out of pure instinct the knife at my side was poised to throw. But I had to stop myself as the young girl walked through the door. "Uh, excuse me, Are you lost sweetheart?" I yelled over the commotion in the room. Everyone froze to face the girl as she seemed to shrink. Her voice hardly audible.
After a long silence she finally spoke. "No, I was told to meet here, I'm from Cait Shelter. My names Wendy."
The entire room began to stir. Voices from every guild saying how a little girl won't be much use in a fight. "That is quite enough from all of you!" said the high pitched voice from behind her. A small white cat flew in over her shoulder. "Don't let people trample all over you like that! It makes it seem as though you're as weak as they keep saying you are!"
"Carla…" Wendy began, but soon shook her head and yelled "I may be young and not very strong but I'm good with all different kinds of healing and power boosting magic! So please don't underestimate me in a fight!" the tone of her voice was that of trying to convince herself as well as everyone else.
Jura was the first to speak up. "Nobody was thinking that you were going to be useless, everyone was just surprised how someone so young could be sent alone." Everyone soon chimed in and supported the claim.
Though before I could say anything another voice came through the door. "Now who said she came alone? I couldn't just let her go all the way out here by herself now could I?"
My mind began racing. There's no way .it couldn't possibly be!
Wendy spun around happily as the man walked through the door. He wore a blue collared shirt and a pair of black dress pants. His hair was short, spiked, and black as night. Finally his glasses were pushed far up onto his nose. He looked the exact same as he did when I had last seen him.
"The names Maes Hughes." He said fixing his glasses. "It's a pleasure to meet you all."
