Where There's A King There's Always a Queen
Ch2: A Familiar Feather

"Ryou is there something wrong? You're being more quiet than usual." Tea wondered beside the white haired teen. (Tea is the English adaption of Anzu) Bakura growled at the annoying onna, who asked a question every other minute. But despite his irritation Bakura used Ryou's voice to answer the woman, "Nothing is wrong Tea, I was just thinking is all." He answered.

"Oh, okay." She said and turned back to her ridiculous friends near her. Suddenly there was motion outside the windowsill; Bakura looked to see a hawk perched by the window. It wasn't a mortal hawk. It was a shade of eerie white, it had a crimson sapphire set between its eyes, a thick like "skin" started in a sharp point a little above the jewel, traced the jewel and ran to its beak, its eyes also a shade of crimson, it had large wings folded behind it that were the size of a human's arm below the elbow, large feathers at the ends made the wings the length of a whole arm. Its tail wasn't a normal bird "tail" it was long as if it was a cat's tail, feathers covered it as well with large feathers at the end that appeared as fur from a distance. Its legs were a little longer than a normal hawk's legs. They weren't bare, but covered with feathers, its talons sharp and dangerous. He knew that he had seen that bird from somewhere. There was an unfamiliar name popping into his head, "Akilah." He repeated to himself. He looked at the bird again, it had vanished.

"What the hell is going on?" Bakura wondered, "First the dreams, that woman, and now the hawk." Bakura was lost of any answers, "I don't care what I have to do. I'm going to figure out what's going on here."

~On a roof high above the city~

A hawk's powerful cry sounded off a little ways away from where she sat. Her pet, her friend was back from the task she gave it. It was bird but it was able to understand everything she told it. It cried again as she held out her arm and bent the lower part of it in front of her. The bird of prey flapped its wings and landed on her arm, her arm became the hawk's perch. "There you are," She smiled at it as she petted its breast softly, "I was beginning to wonder if you were ever going to come back." She smiled at it. The hawk flapped its wings and folded them again. "Did you find him? Did you find the one I seek?" She asked it. It screeched as the "jewel" on its head started to glow. The hawk showed her a vision of a young man with snow white hair and almond brown eyes. There had to be a mistake, his eyes were too soft, his skin too pale, he was shorter than the one she was looking for, but they looked alike, "Are you positive that this is his him?" She asked her pet. Then the hawk showed its mistress another vision, around the boy's neck hung a familiar object; the Millennium Ring. She chuckled happily, "Good work Akilah," She praised. The hawk moved to her mistress' shoulder and rubbed its head against her neck in thanks. The woman giggled, the movement of the hawk's head tickled her. "Listen Akilah," She called the bird's attention, "I have another task for you…" The hawk "jumped" back to her mistress' arm, "…Seek out the pharaoh."
