Where There's a King There's Always a Queen
Ch11: Heart possessor, Soul tamer

Bakura was somewhat pissed off. "I can't believe I forgot the only person that can free this fool Touzoku from me." Bakura and his little band rode to the palace from the tomb of Aknamkanon. "I knew she had some connection with Touzoku when I felt Touzoku's feelings spike. He doesn't remember her yet, she is still able to affect him the way that she did." Bakura walked down the hallway to the throne room of the palace. "You better watch yourself Lieghl'ah, if you get in my way you'll regret it."

~With Yugi and the gang~

"How far are they intending to go?" Duke asked. It was getting dark and the group had been following the bird, along with the group they saw in the village, for hours.

"I guess until that bird leads them to Lieghl'ah." Marik answered beside the dark haired teen.

"I'm surprised they haven't noticed us yet." Tea stated.

"Once they stop I'm sure they will." Yugi said as he came up beside the brunette girl.

"Like now for instants." Joey announced. The group gasped , the group ahead of them stopped suddenly. The future teens stopped their horses, which were getting too close, before they were seen.

"Milady, why are you out here all by yourself, where's the king?" Odion's look-alike asked.

"He's gone." A familiar voice replied sadly.

"Gone, gone where, Milady?" The man wondered.

"To Karnack, he's heading to the palace." The female voice said as a horse whinnied.

"Why is he going there?" The man questioned.

"Something has gotten into him and I think I know what." The two emerged from the crowd to where the small group could see them. It was Lieghl'ah.

"What would that be?" The man beside Lieghl'ah asked.

"Zorc the dark one." Lieghl'ah stated with certainty.

"Zorc, are you sure, Milady? I thought that was just an old legend." The man said on his dark horse as the crowd gasped and murmured to each other.

"No, the dark one does exist, Steryu; and Touzoku has been taken over by him." Lieghl'ah said, "And we have to stop him before he causes any serious damage."

"Lieghl'ah!" Yugi called to the girl. The crowd looked to see the group from the future.

"Spies!" A man from the crowd stated.

"Get them!" Another shouted.

"Oh man Yugi, why couldn't you just keep your mouth shut?" Joey groaned as a handful of men charged them.

"Nobody touch them!" Lieghl'ah ordered. The men stopped dead in their tracks and looked at the woman. "Nobody touch them."

"But Milady…" The man in front protested.

"No buts Yuhju. They are not are enemies. They are allies." Lieghl'ah stated. "They will be coming with us to the palace. Is that understood?"

"Yes ma'am." Every person in the crowd answered.

"Good." Lieghl'ah suddenly whistled. "Akilah." She called. The hawk that the crowd was following flew to Lieghl'ah and landed on her shoulder.

"That's your bird?" Marik wondered.

"Yes. Now we better be going if we are going to get to the palace before morning." Lieghl'ah said as she whipped the reigns and the horse started into a steady gallop.

~With Zorc~

He adorned himself with some of the finest treasures from the former pharaoh's tomb. From his throat erupted a hearty sinister laugh, "One can't be dressed too formally when visiting the pharaoh and I'll bring the sarcophagus along as a peace offering. Now we better be going, there's a grand celebration at the palace and we mustn't be late." The thief was wearing his favorite crimson cloak with golden trimming. He dragged the sarcophagus behind him by a rope that he had tied around it. His henchmen followed obediently after him.

One of them got curious, "Milord what are we to do about Lieghl'ah?"

Zorc turned to the "man", "No one is to touch her; she's mine." He stated.

"Yes Milord." The men replied.

~With the pharaoh~

The celebration had been going on for hours. The pharaoh wasn't paying attention to it at all; he was spending the time to think of a way to free Touzoku from Zorc. "If Lieghl'ah hadn't have told me about Bakura I would've probably have sent him to the shadow realm. But when she told me and the others about Touzoku I vowed to her that I would defeat Zorc and spare Touzoku from the darkness. But how am I going to get my sacred court to cooperate or even listen for that matter?" Atem thought to himself.

"What's wrong Isis?" Seto asked the only woman in the sacred court that had been quiet for some time now.

"One of the two beings I sensed earlier is here." Isis replied as the Millennium Necklace glowed.

"Sorry I'm late, but it seems that somebody forgot to put me on guest list." Bakura sneered. The gold and jeweled treasures around his neck and head clinked when the collided with each other.

The pharaoh gasped, "Bakura!"
