He is often looked down upon by society, even now. Of all the men in the world who wish to escape their pasts for reasons either worthy or not, he deserves a new start the most. He is not trusted even now, after all he did in the war, and it is my fear that he never shall be but by those very few people close to us and myself. And it kills him inside, to see these people he wants to call friends sneer at his presence and very thinly lace insults and threats. It is as if I'm the only one who is able to see who he is and what kind of man he wishes to become, not simply a mirror of his father and the life that was thrust upon him.
