A/N: This chapter takes place really early in the series, because none of them have reached their true potential. Once again, there's two stories. I wanted to reach a goal of a thousand words per letter, so that might become a habit.
Ending Credits
"It was a great movie!" Nya said, as the ending credits rolled.
"Yeah…" croaked Cole, half-asleep.
Cole lied. He hated that kind of sugarcoated cliché love stories. When your relationship goes the way you want, or falling in love at first sight, even when you get friend-zoned but your crush realizes his or her mistake and goes back to you.
Jay was pretty upset because Cole was ruining his date with Nya. At least, he seemed to be upset.
Cole felt a little bit sorry for Nya. Jay had slept through the three quarters of the movie. Cole hoped he didn't do that at every date.
Nya thought it was a good idea to drag Cole to the cinema, because it had been days since he didn't get out of the dojo. He had a reason not to go out:
He hadn't had any sleep in the past few days, due to intense training nights. Every single muscle of his body hurt. He hoped he was close to reaching his true potential yet, because he wouldn't be able to take it much longer.
Jay sat between Cole and Nya. The lightning ninja was still asleep and was now drooling on Cole's shoulder.
"Let's go!" Nya headed to the exit.
The only answers she got were moans.
"Okay, I'll wait outside until you decide to move your lazy bums," she disappeared behind the theater's door.
"Get off me!" Cole attempted to push Jay's head away.
Cole saw something under the chair Nya had occupied. She had left her bag. He walked over the seat and fetched it, but collapsed on the seat. Cole felt like an old guy, unable to make three steps without his whole body screaming in pain. He was now sitting at Nya's place. Jay's head fell back on his shoulder.
'Are my shoulders head magnets?'
Jay started snoring. 'Great. Just what I wanted…'
The brunette mumbled something Cole didn't understand and wrapped an arm around the earth ninja's broad shoulders and snuggled closer:
"Your skin's so soft…"
'Uh oh…Jay's taking me for Nya because I took her seat.'
He didn't know if he should take that in a good way or a bad one. On one hand, he had soft skin and on the other hand, he had a feminine body.
Cole was too sleepy to do anything. Even fighting the blush that crept on his face.
He would have gladly pushed Jay off, but Cole had too many aches. He stared, as an almost unconscious Jay invaded his personal space. Cole could have shouted at Jay to wake him up, but he didn't feel like shouting.
The whole room had emptied itself of its users. Jay and Cole were the only one left, with a few other couples who were still cuddling.
"Jay, I don't want people thinking we've got something on."
Cole tried pushing at least Jay's head away, as he was started hugging him. He lazily lifted his hand and barely brushed Jay's face.
"Seriously. Cut it out. It's me Cole, I'm not Nya!"
He tried to wiggle out of Jay's embrace.
He felt Jay's soft lips laid a kiss on his. The leader went redder than a tomato as he realized that Jay had been awake since the beginning.
The kiss was undeniably sweet. It almost made Cole melt on his seat.
The brunette opened his eyes and looked straight in Cole's. He passed a hand in Cole's raven-hair.
"I know that, dipstick."
Everything Fails Me
"Los burritos, los burritos, son deliciosos y buenos a comer…"
Cole sang as he nibbled on a fresh burrito he bought at the nearby Taco Bell.
"I'll probably need to spend a day in the bathroom for eating that, but it's worth it."
He heard whimpers coming from the inner courtyard. They were pretty high pitched whimpers, so he assumed it was a girl. He slammed the door leading to it wide open and shouted:
"Where is the damsel in distress?"
Cole looked around the inner courtyard, but nobody was to be seen. Only, maybe, Jay who was lying on the floor.
At first, Cole didn't notice him. He looked like a rug, just lying still. Except rugs don't cry.
"Hey man, what's wrong?"
Cole asked as he sat down in front of Jay.
"I-I can't do it…It's too hard…"
Cole lifted Jay up, making him sit properly. He held the brunette's shoulders to keep Jay from falling flat on his face.
Tears marked Jay's face. It seemed like he had already emptied himself of all the water in his body.
He grabbed Cole's shirt and continued crying.
"My shirt's not a tissue!" Cole joked.
It only made the crying worse.
"I suck…I'll never be a good ninja…" Jay sobbed.
Cole rolled his eyes: he found that absolutely ridiculous.
He pushed back Jay on the floor and shoved the burrito in his mouth to stop his whining.
After a few moments, he was back in the courtyard with an iPod and a speaker.
Jay was still crying, but that didn't stop him from eating Cole's burrito.
Cole shrugged. He wouldn't be the one to waste a day on the toilet seat.
He connected the iPod to the speaker and chose the playlist named: 'Fighting Spirit'.
"This music is going to help you!"
Cole helped Jay to his feet.
After a long series of energetic songs, one started with a somewhat lazy guitar riff. It caught Jay's eye.
He had recognized every song after a few seconds. But not this one.
Cole had wanted to run up to change the song, but Jay yanked him back by the collar. He didn't notice Cole's face flushing red.
The only instrument was the guitar. The singer's voice seemed familiar. It took some time for Jay to remember who it belonged to.
"Cole! Are you singing that song?"
"…"
Cole had to resign. Jay was going to hear the song he wrote.
He didn't catch the first lines of the song, because Cole was mumbling them. But that's what the lyrics gave:
'There's that one guy,
He caught my eye.
Got no problem with this,
'Cause I don't want a chick's kiss.
We get along fine
I hope one day he'll be mine.
But there's one problem:
He has a girlfriend.
Hey dude, can't you see?
She'll leave you for the next prick
That'll offer her
A bouquet of cheap flowers.
Gotta admit he's kinda of naive
And she's manipulative.
But I'll stand in the way
And win the heart of that boy called Jay.'
Jay was listening in awe, while Cole was dying of embarrassment. The chorus was about to kick in:
'Wish he felt the same,
Wish I had a lower aim.
Wish he kissed me,
His kisses obviously taste like candy.
Wish he realized he's too good for that girl,
Wish I finally let my feelings unfurl.'
Right now, Cole really wished he could be berried and forgotten.
'I like him more than enough,
But I'm trapped in an endless slough.
He's probably blind,
'Cause he can't see we're meant to be combined.
This sounds like a Taylor Swift song,
I'm getting the tune wrong.
Not sure if I have the courage,
Before it ends, I wanted to deliver one last message.
I hope no one will hear me out,
But Jay, I fucking love you, there's no doubt.
Then, it was just a repeat of the chorus.
"Cole, give me one good reason to wish of all these things."
"…"
"You can't find any, eh? It's because there's no reason. Anymore, at least," Jay smirked.

Cole was right in his song. Jay's kisses really did taste like candy. Maybe even sweeter, and he couldn't get enough.
"Wow, you guys have been in there for a looooooong time," Kai said as he walked in the court.
"Yeah…We were training," they both lied.
"Of cooooouuurse, you were 'training'."
The fire ninja closed the door behind him and started miming kissing someone and making out sounds.
'"You pervert! You watched us kiss!" Jay shouted angrily.
"Better…" Kai pulled out a phone, "I got footage of it! And I can't wait to show these photos to Nya. It would be a shame, wouldn't it?"
"What do you want, butt-munch?" Cole stepped forward, his face colored like Kai's gi.
"Hmm…Let me think…" Kai teased, "Could you write a song for Lloyd and I?"
"That was more innocent than what I expected. You'll destroy the pictures, okay?"
"I'll put them in my private folder called: 'Most Obvious Romance In History'."
