Chapter 2: Two "Lords" To the Rescue

Disclaimer: I do not own Lord of the Rings. They belong to the Great J.R. .

Estel couldn't sleep. He kept thinking of the unfortunate prince who fell asleep for hundreds of years. No elf should suffer that fate. But it is not only him but all of the wood elves of the kingdom. Estel sat bolt upright he will go and save the kingdom. 'I cannot do that alone. I need help' thought Estel.

He crept out of the room and knocked the door of Tindir's room. Tindir was the youngest one in the house of princes and was 35 years old. Nearly 12 years in elven standards. He was also the best friend of Estel." What is the matter Estel can't you see I am sleeping?"

"I am here to ask your help to save Green Wood" said Estel.

"Save Green Wood? What the Valar are you talking about?" asked Tindir.

Estel repeated the story told to him by Elohir.

The elfling agreed to Estel that they must indeed save the unfortunate prince and his people from the curse.

"But shouldn't we tell the elders?" asked Tindir.

"No! Ada and Glorfindel will not let us go. They might go to save the prince but will not take us. I heard Greenwood is now called Mirkwood and is dangerous. We must take this adventure ourselves. "said Estel.

"What! Don't you think this is too dangerous...? What will our Adas say?" asked Tindir feeling scared of the prospect of going to dangerous forest away from the comfort of Imraldis.

"We need to prove ourselves to all... Then everyone will consider us as warriors" said little Estel fiercely.

"All right… I will come. But if our Adas scold us you will be responsible." said Tindir.

"All right! But we have to prepare supplies for such a huge journey... We need map, horses, weapons, and especially food. " said Estel.

"All right let me get ready. When are we going?"

Tomorrow night. There is a celebration tomorrow. We need to sneak out."

A.N: Thanks to all who reviewed. This my first attempt on fanfiction. Also English is not my first language. I couldn't update due of the frantic months of Final exams of high school.
