Take your time, Sam Hunt.
Nice song haha. Dude you stole my titel XD.

So, this will be the last chapter of this story. Below this chapter, I'll tell you why. But first enjoy this one. I hope it's a good one after all.

"Jack, don't forget to borrow those books for your school assignment remember ?!" His mother yells after him. Jack frowns, replies with a vague yea and then races on his bike to town. The reason he's heading to the public library is to avoid his parents. They have been fighting for quite a while now and it's starting to nerve him. He loves his parents, sure, he just can't deal with their fights anymore. It started a few weeks ago. His mother burned the lasagna and his dad became furious with her. He started screaming at her for no reason. His mom apologised but that wasn't good enough apparently. His dad had thrown the lasagna to the floor where the dish had broken into a hundred pieces. Then he had walked away to his car and hadn't come home until the next day. His mother had cried while trying to clean up the mess. She said that his dad had been in a bad mood for a long time now but she couldn't figure out why since he didn't speak a word about it. Jack had helped her and together they had watched a movie. Jamie had gone to a friend's house and hadn't come home until three days later until he was sure their parents had apologised to one another.

Jack races to the city. He's heading to that one place where he can rest without the constant yelling of his parents. The library. It's a huge building with over more than a thousand books of all categories. Its appearance is astounding, it was founded in 1684 and has ever since been the most beautiful libraries since. And if you think it's exterior is gorgeous then you should definitely go check the interior as well. White marble on the floor, marble pillars holding up the first, second and third floors. Beautifully decorated cabins where old dusty books are shelved. Three huge chandeliers on each floor to finish it's gorgeous look. This library was the jewel of this city.

As he enters the library, he immediately runs over to the fantasy section. He needs to borrow that book about werewolves so badly. He searches for a while until he a soft familiar voice stops him in his tracks.

"Yes Anna, this won't take too long. Yes I will visit as soon as possible."

Jack turns around and can catch a glimpse of his teacher walking past him as she's talking on the phone. Immediately his mood changes and he follows her silently. She has stopped by the educations section, of course. Her back faces him but still he can recognise her easily. Her platinum blonde hair hangs in cascading waves over her shoulders and reaches until her waist. It's not braided, it's put in a single ponytail which looks also very good on her, he has to admit. She grabs a big book and carries it over to a table where another pile of books are resting. She sits down, carefully opens the book and begins reading thoroughly. Jack grins. She is such a nerd. But in a good way. In a very good way.

He sits down next to her, she looks up surprised, then when she realises who it is she smiles. "Hey Jack ? Also sniffing around this great place of knowledge ?" She asks while marvelling at how huge this place is.

"Yeah, I'm trying to clear my mind here." He says sadly.

She senses it and her face turns concerned. She bend over and asks softly. "What's wrong ? Are you ok ?"

Jack frowns. Should he tell her ? She's his teacher, these things should be private right ? But he had comforted her when she had a breakdown. Heck she had even cried on his shoulder. He sighed deeply. "Just some issues at the homefront."

"Gosh that's pretty serious. Has it been going on for a long time ?"

Jack shrugs.

Elsa smiles empathetically. "You know Jack, at school I am your teacher. But we're not at school, so you can tell me."

He looks at her and nods. Thankful for her compassion. She nods shortly back and then grabs her big book. "Look at this page." She says while brushing her fingers over the old letters. "Isn't the artwork extraordinary ? So many intricate patterns, so many colours..."

Jack also lets his fingers glide over the surface of the paper. It feels old and dusty, yet the artwork is gorgeous.

Elsa continues. "A book tells a lot about the person who wrote it. How much time he spent on it and what he wants us to learn about life. Every chapter, the character will do something, maybe wrong maybe right, and learn from it. A book can illustrate the journey of life with it's ups and downs as that is normal. A book can tell more than a person ever will. You don't have to be a genius to understand what's going on, sometimes it can lay right in front of you, simple as that. You just have to open your eyes to see it."

Jack frowns. What does that have to do with him ?

His teacher smiles, realising he is confused. "I'm trying to say is that people are writers of their own story, their own life. It's up to them whether they want to make it difficult, beautiful or just simple. Don't be afraid to start on a new chapter. Don't be afraid to take risks. If your heart tells you it's ok, then just do it. Try to figure out what your story is going to be about, once you know that, you might understand about others'... And that's why I like books, they are the window to someone's soul."

The boy nods. He sighs deeply. You're so smart. You're beautiful, sweet and smart... You're the whole package.

Elsa turns back to her book. Then she stops and turns back to Jack. "Wanna take a stroll in the park with me ? Some fresh air will do you good." She smiles.

Jack's eyes light up. He nods enthusiastically and jumps up. They walk out of the library, to the park. It's a beautiful day, he has to admit, it's even more beautiful with her on his side. They slowly walk through the park and talk about life and everything. The sun is beautiful and casts the perfect shadows on her stunning face. The wind plays with her hair and a calm smile lays on her lips. She is relaxed, and so is he. They stop to sit on a bench and watch the little children feed the ducks.

"Have you ever had the feeling that your life is perfect ?" She suddenly asks.

"No. Not really. Because my dad taught me; if it's too good to be true, then if probably isn't." Jack answered.

'Oh' was the only sound she made. She frowned.

"Is... everything alright ?" Jack asked concerned.

"Yeah. Yeah... I- I just don't know. Ehm. You know." She stuttered, which was new to him because she never stuttered. She continued. "I just don't know where to go from here. I'm getting married, but I can't start with the preparations until John is back so that'll have to wait. And then what do we do next ? Kids ? I'm not even sure if I want kids ?" She suddenly spoke out everything that was bothering her. Everything that she couldn't talk about with John because most of the time he was too tired to even talk about these matters and the other time he is on mission. She sighs deeply. "I- I'm sorry to bother you with my problems. F-f- forget about it."

"No. No, it's alright." Jack assured her. "Sometimes it's good to talk to someone else than those close to you." Gosh he really starts to sound like his parents already. Jack shakes his head. "What I meant is, it's ok to tell how you feel and to let people show that you're not perfect all the time. After all, we're only human."

Elsa shows him a grateful smile. "I don't know what I'd do without you." She says.

Jack only stares at her. God, she's perfect. Why can't she be his ? Why ? Jack slowly leans in and smells her hair. Gosh she always smells so good. A sudden feeling tells him that he should tell her how he feels about her. He's been holding it back for so long now. It needs to get out. "Elsa..." He whispers, he knows she can hear him clearly and so he continues. "I love you. I have always loved you. From the moment we met." There. It is out. Jack feels a huge wave of relief washing over him.

Elsa stares at the ducks. Her eyes blink several times before she responds. "I know."

Jack looks Elsa in the eyes. "You know ?" He repeats after her. She nods and smiles gently. "Whu... whu... How... ?"

"Sweetie, all you could do was stare at me. You had that red blush on your cheeks whenever we talked and you never paid attention in class while you clearly could do maths." She turned her head. "And it's ok. I've grown fond of you as well."

Jack blinks a couple of times to process what she just said. So she knew all along. Who knew that ? "Then why didn't you tell me ?"

Elsa chuckles. "Because you looked so adorable, and I liked the attention I guess ?"

Jack frowns and pouts. "Well that's not very nice. I was sweating like a pig every time you looked at me !"

She chuckles again. Then her face goes serious. "Jack... I'm... I'm confused." She starts. "What... What if I love you too ?" Her face pleads and guilt can be seen in her eyes.

"Do you ?"

She nods.

Jack's eyes go wide. "This is not good... I mean, you are engaged ! And I'm your student ! And... " He sighs. "What do you want ?"

"I don't know ! I love John, GOD I love him so much ! But why do I love you too ? It's like I need the both of you in one man ? Why can't it be that simple ? John's gonna kill me if he finds out ! Gosh I'm a disgrace. A whore ! I can't, I never though of myself being in this position before ! I thought it was just for a few weeks and that eventually it would fade, but it hasn't ! And what will Anna say if she hears about it ?" Elsa freaks out.

Jack tries to calm her down. "Whoa Elsa, calm down !"

"And will John leave me ? Then I'll be all on my own ! And maybe I'll get fired ? Oh my god, I can't loose my job too ! Then I'll have no one... I can't, I c-..."

He kisses her. He kisses her. On the mouth. She wouldn't shut up. And so he kisses her. Her soft lips are hugging his like cotton candy. Her breath is like a fresh mint with a hint of strawberry. She brushes her tongue against his lip. He melts completely. He cups her face in his hands. She moans slightly. Then her eyes shoot open and she pulls back.

"Jack ?!"

Jack grins. "It was the only way to shut you up. Besides, you're not gonna tell me you didn't like that ?"

Elsa shakes her head violently. "This is bad ! This is really bad ! Jack !? Now I'm really in trouble ! A teacher ? Really ? You kissed your own teacher ?"

Jack's grin fades. "You didn't like it ?"

She blinks realising his kiss was indeed really nice. "Ok.. I did. But that's not the point ! The point is that I cheated on John, something I would never do !"

"I'm sorry. I- I I shouldn't have kissed you..." Jack says reluctantly. He hoped that she would have enjoyed it. But how could he. By kissing her, he put her into more trouble and that was not what he wanted. If only you'd shut up.

Elsa stands up. "I'm sorry Jack. For everything I put you through." Tears rolled over her cheek. Then, she runs as hard as she can. Out of the park. Out of his sight. Out of his life ?

That afternoon, Jack rides home. He's pretty confused over what happend the afternoon. So she knew all along ? So she wasn't oblivious to the fact that he stared at her all the time, that he blushed when she looked at him, that his heart fluttered with joy whenever he saw her, that his mind went crazy when they talked. But for God's sake he can't have her, she's engaged to a wonderful man ! Jack can't just go and ruin that ! She belongs to John and not to Jack. And he has to live with that. But what about that wonderful kiss ? It seemed like she enjoyed it too, clearly. Well, she did pull back and then realised what happened but he was sure she did love it.

How can she be this hard to get ? She is the love of his life, he knows for sure. He has been hiding these feelings for almost a year now. But her heart belongs to someone else's. Jack bolds his fists. That John guy is in the way of his door to her. But then again, this is wrong. He shouldn't compete with a guy like John. That guy is like twenty six and super muscular, from what Jack saw. Jack is just this stupid skinny nineteen year old. Jack frowns. He's confused. So confused.

He loves her. He loves every inch of her. Her gracious smile. The way she walks down the hallways, carrying piles of papers and books. The way she bites her lip when she's really concentrating. The way she cocks her eyebrow when students come up with all kinds of dumb questions, according to her. She is really one of a kind. And he loves her to death. But how will she ever be his ? She belongs to someone else and it's not his right to take her away. After all, John had met her first. But it's not fair, Jack decides. It's not fair. John is rarely home, goes on missions a lot, leaving a beautiful woman all by herself. While Jack is right here, right in front of her every day. He is here for her, he can be the man she deserves, although he is young, she is only a few years older than he is. He can provide her what she needs. He can help her with anything if she wishes. He can be that man ! He sighs deeply. It just takes time. These complicated, twisted, toxic things. These take time. And time ? Sure they have time.

John grabs his suitcase and backpack. He gives Elsa a weak smile as he steps out of the front door. They hug deeply. He deeply inhales her scent. Roses. He kisses her hair, then her forehead, then her nose, then her lips, those damn soft lips. As he breaks apart, a tear rolls over her cheek. He brushes it away with his thumb. "Hey, it's ok." He soothes. "I'll be back before you know it." A sad nod from her part lets him know she'll be ok. He knows she'll be, she's always been. He steps into the taxi and waves until they're around the corner. 'Bye darling.' He whispers and wipes away his own tears.

Elsa locks the door, turns around and leans against it as she slides down. What is going on with her ? Why is she feeling so sick and good at the same time ? She has a pretty good life going, right ? A man who is soon to be her husband, a job that is great with lots of rewards, a sister whom she loves to death and a cousin who is amazingly fun during her classes sometimes. But if her life is so perfect, then why does she constantly feel that itching feeling, that naggingly feeling. Of course, she thinks a lot about that boy.

Jack Frost. He is special. He is. He is that guy who makes her laugh. He has humour that no one in the world has, not even her cousins and they're hilarious. He has a certain charme that swipes her off her feet. And most important, he has a good heart, always knows when she's down, or sad or just needs a laugh. He is a great guy. But John is a great guy too right ? Then why did that kiss with Jack feel so tremendously good ? It was like the first good kiss she's had in years, sorry John. She sighs deeply as she rubs her temples. She's just so confused. Why can't she be the perfect woman ? Why did she have to fall in love with the student who couldn't even do maths in the first place ? Why couldn't she just be faithful to John ? ... And why couldn't John just have a normal job. A job where he would leave at eight in the morning and come back home at six in the evening. A job that granted she would see him every day. A job that granted he would live, and not accidentally be killed by a friendly fire. She needs that. She needs some stability in her life, if not for her, then for Anna. Anna needs stability in her life. Not a sister who is constantly on the verge of crying. Anna needs a sister who is strong for her and who will take the time for her to listen. Anna deserves someone so much better than her. She is a shame to the family. She betrayed the only person who loved her so much that he wanted to spend a life with her. She had thrown away her future. She had sealed her fate.

Elsa inhales deeply and looks up. It's all gonna be alright. Right ? She has to make it right. She has to. It is her fault and now she has to do the right thing for everyone. That's the least they deserve. There is no other choice.

That night Elsa Skypes John. She straightens her spine and pushes back her shoulders. This is it. John's face comes into view. "Hey baby !" He greets her enthusiastically. She waves back and went immediately to the point.

"John, I need to tell you something, it's important and I need you to listen really careful ok ? Can you do that for me ?" She asks.

His smile makes her even more emotional than she already is. He doesn't deserve all of this. He is too good for her. "Of course honey." Is his reply, sweet and understanding as always. "Take your time."

Guys, I'm having a serious problem with this story. And I'm ending it, right here, right now. I'm sorry if I have disappointed you, I know that it's a bit abrupt but I need to get my shit back together and start over. My deepest apologies to all of you. You guys are the best !

I feel like I've started way to enthusiastically about it without even thinking what I wanted to write about. I feel like Jack's development is too small and I haven't put great thought in his actions. The arc of the other characters are not thought about either and I know I didn't put a lot of dept into Elsa and her feelings and stuff. You guys should have known by now that she has feelings for Jack too... Sadly, I didn't write about it. Damn me. Plus, the plot has changed too many times to even make sense at this point and I just have no other idea on how to continue it. So I'm gonna end it with an open ending and let you guys fill in the rest. At least they got to kiss right ? I know, it was hurried and unexpected. Gosh, I feel like a huge disappointment now. :( I also wanted to wait until after Christmas and New Year cause I didn't wanna ruin the holidays for you guys...

But after all, this is my first fanfic and I'm learning a lot about story writing. The only way to learn is to fall over and over until you know how to stand. So yeah, forgive me if this story isn't a major good one. At least now I know that good preparation is needed for a story to work. Maybe if I figured out a good story, then I'll come back... I know that every beginning is difficult, plus the fact that english is not my native language is also a bitch.

Anyways, I'd like to thank those who followed this story, who favourited it and who gave feedback. Thank you all.
