I am still in shock at how many people have viewed this story so far. I am so thankful for all of you! I hope you all loved the last chapter, this one is shorter, but I wanted to get you another chapter in.
Again, I own nothing, sadly.
Chapter Seven
It had been five days since Beth found out she was pregnant, and she was beyond done with the whole morning sickness thing. Every morning at five-thirty, or as Daryl liked to call it, "the crack of Satan's ass" Beth was praying to the porcelain God. Daryl would get up with her every morning, hold her hair back, and rub circles on her back.
This morning was no different, except the fact that Beth was beyond tired of it,
"I hate you. A lot of hate for you. Why the hell do I have to go through all this? You should have to partake in some of this."
Daryl grimaced slightly at her words, it was his fault she was having to deal with this, but he honestly could not say that he'd switch places with her at the moment.
"How much longer is this supposed to happen? Didn't think it lasted this long…"
She looked up at him with an annoyed expression,
"Daryl, it last the entire first trimester or even longer. I still have almost four weeks left in the first trimester…have you not looked at that book yet?"
And there she went getting on to him about that damn book again. Jesus he hadn't had time to look at it yet…okay, well that isn't a hundred percent true, he just didn't exactly wanna know what all could go wrong with this pregnancy. He also didn't need any of those graphic images in his head.
He sighed, "Not yet…been a little busy runnin' interference."
They hadn't wanted to tell the rest of the group yet, but Beth looked like hell most of the time right now, morning sickness is kicking her ass. So, Daryl and Maggie told everyone she had a stomach bug or something, and they didn't want her to get anyone else sick. Beth had been staying inside all day, everyday, and she had cabin fever bad at this point. Daryl was drawn from his thoughts by Beth getting up,
"I think it's all over now. I'm gonna take a quick shower, wanna join me?" she wiggled her eyebrows at him, and flashed him a wicked grin.
How could Daryl say no to that? But he knew he had to, he told everyone he was going hunting this morning, and knew if he got in the shower with Beth, he wouldn't make it out the door today.
He groaned,
"As much as I want to, I can't," Beth gave him her sad eyes at that, "I told em' I was goin' huntin' today. Startin' to get low on meat."
Beth nodded that she understood, but that didn't mean her desires for Daryl were quelled. Lately every time he looked at her, or he was walking around shirtless, it started a deep heat in Beth's stomach, radiating to her core. She blamed it on the hormones, at least that what the book said, that she'd be in sexual overdrive. Beth snapped herself out of her thoughts, and went to rinse her mouth out, while Daryl finished getting dressed.
"See ya later blondie," he kissed her and then he was gone.
After about an hour Beth decided that she looked, and felt a hell of a lot better than what she had for the past couple of days. She was gonna go out and see what everyone was doing, as long as she came back before Daryl got home. She knew he was just playin' it safe, but Beth could not stay inside all day again, she'd go crazy. A little after noon, Beth found Rick trying to teach Carl how to drive one of the four wheelers. Carl wasn't doing terrible, but he needed a lot of practice. After an hour of watching Carl, Beth decided she wanted to try it out.
"Hey Rick, Carl."
"Well hey there, you feelin' better?" Rick asked her.
"Much better. I was wonderin' if I could have try at it?"
Rick thought about it for a moment, "Sure, maybe you can grasp it a little better than Carl" he joked.
Beth laughed at that, but Carl looked decidedly unamused. Everyone, but Maggie, Glenn, and Daryl had been over watching Carl try to ride, Beth didn't wanna think about what Maggie and Glenn were doing. Everybody seemed interested to watch Beth try and ride the four wheeler, maybe she'd do better than Carl.
Beth hopped on, and turned it on, Rick showed her how to brake and hit the gas. She began to move forward slowly, and then a little faster. She was about to speed up a little more when a very pissed off Daryl started walking towards her.
When Daryl got back from outside the walls, he immediately went home, to go skin up the deer he got, but when he got home Beth wasn't there. He started to get worried that something had happened to her, or the baby. He took off for Maggie's, but on the way there, he noticed everyone gathered around near the shed where they stored all the vehicles they had, when he noticed a familiar blonde attempting to drive a four wheeler. Daryl had never gone from terrified to incensed so quickly. He stormed up towards her, and when she noticed him walking over, she turned the four wheeler off and stared at him.
"What the fuck do you think you are doing?" he yelled at her.
She was shocked by his tone of voice and how mad he was, just cause she was out of the house, "I was trying to learn how to drive it."
Her response only pissed him off more, she really had no idea what the damn problem was,
"Have you lost your damn mind!" he shouted at her.
"No, but you seemed to have. There's nothing wrong with me riding it!"
At that Daryl exploded, "YOU COULD HAVE FUCKING HURT THE BABY!"
Daryl didn't care he had just announced to the entire group that Beth was pregnant, he was far too angry to care what they thought.
Beth had completely forgotten that she could have fallen off and hurt the baby, she hadn't even realized that possibility. She had just wanted to get out of the house, and the four wheeler looked like so much fun. Now everyone was staring at her and Daryl in shock.
Daryl didn't give a damn that everyone was lookin' at him and Beth, with mouths half open, everyone except Abraham at least. He was too angry with Beth to try and talk with her, so he just stormed off towards the wall. Abraham immediately gave chase after Daryl, with Rick not far behind.
Beth was crying again, except this time it was her fault. Daryl was only worried about the baby and her, and Beth had forgotten for one moment that it was not only her new life that she had to protect. Carol came over and wrapped Beth in a hug, but all Beth wanted was for to Daryl to come back.
Don't hate me please.
