So like I said before, things have moved a long a little bit more. Tons of fluff, with a little seriousness involved. Also, I already have a gender picked out for the baby, but I am so not revealing it. However, I would like to hear some baby name suggestions from y'all. I hope y'all like this chapter.

I own nothing, except anger about Noah, and Gabriel is a little bitch.

Chapter Nine

It had been two weeks since the blow up, since then things had been somewhat back to normal. The only different things, were Beth's morning sickness, mood swings, and well Daryl had turned into the most overprotective, annoying pain in the ass. He almost never let her out of his sight, and was constantly asking her if she needed anything, and if the baby was okay. It was cute at first, but it was beginning to get on her nerves. Whenever he had to go out and hunt, or go on a run, he would have Maggie come stay with her. Beth only wanted a day to herself, to read, or sit in silence, without someone always staring at her.

She was 11 weeks pregnant now, almost done with the first trimester, and she couldn't be happier. Beth was beyond over the whole morning sickness; every morning at five-thirty, Archer Spawn would have her puking her guts out. She wanted to punch Daryl in the stomach every morning, but she had to give him credit, every time she got up, he got up with her. He would hold her hair back, and rub soothing circles on her back. She knew he felt horrible for her having to go through all this, while he couldn't do much to make it better.

She had just gotten out of the shower and was getting dressed when she glanced in the mirror and noticed it. A small, almost unnoticeable baby bump. At first she was shocked, staring at in the mirror, unmoving. She snapped out of her daze, and brought her hands to the small bump. Beth could definitely feel a difference in her body internally, but actually seeing it, and being able to feel it externally were so different. She was so mesmerized by the small bump; when she was finally able to tear her eyes and hand away from it, she immediately knew Daryl had to see this.

She called from the bathroom to him downstairs,

"Daryl! Daryl! Get up here!"

Next thing she knew, she heard him sprinting up the stairs, then busting through the bathroom door.

He had worry etched all over his features when he rushed in,

"What's wrong? Is there something wrong with the baby?"

Beth chuckled a little at him,

"Nothing's wrong Daryl. I wanted to show you something," she lifted her shirt up, but Daryl didn't seem to notice it.

"What am I supposed to see?"

Beth sighed a little, annoyed that he didn't see it,

"Come here."

He walked over, and she put his hand on her abdomen, and watched as realization dawned on him. Daryl was every bit as awestruck as Beth had been.

Daryl was glued to her stomach; he knew it would grow eventually, being further proof of the life that was growing underneath, but he didn't realize it would happen so soon. He hadn't been able to see it, but as soon as he felt Beth's stomach, he could feel a difference, and he was fascinated. That bump was his child, his little Arrow.

Beth finally broke the blissful silence between them,

"If I'm already showing now, I'm terrified of how big I'm gonna get."

Daryl looked at her like she was crazy,

"You'll still be every bit as beautiful."

Beth smiled at him, it was rare that he was so sweet like this,

"Mama said I wasn't that big of a baby, but she said it all depends on how big the babies father was when they were born."

He looked at her sheepishly,

"Accordin' to Merle, I was the biggest baby ever. Think he said I was over nine pounds."

Beth groaned at that,

"You would be. I swear Daryl Dixon, if you're just tryin' to mess with me, you will be sleepin' on the couch for a month."

"I wish I was blondie, but I ain't."

Great, I'm gonna have to give birth to a nine pound watermelon Beth thought. Daryl just kept rubbing little circles around Beth's stomach, and she had a feeling he was only going to be more intrigued the bigger she got, and probably more protective.

Later that day, everyone gathered at Rick's house. They were planning another run, they wanted to get a big run in before winter hit them hard, and there were things everyone needed. They were going to a town about forty miles away, they had been to once before that hadn't been touched before them. The town had a Costco, Macy's, Field and Stream, Toys RUS/ Babies RUS, several other clothing stores, a Target, and a couple of small Ma and Pa shops. Everyone who wasn't going on the run was told to make a list of things they would need. Daryl, Abraham, Rosita, Sasha, and Michonne were going on the run, they planned to leave early the next morning, taking the truck, SUV, and one of the cars. Everyone's lists had the basic toiletries, winter clothes, and some little things. Overall, the main focus was to stock up on food, gas, medicine, ammo, hunting and fishing gear, and survival gear. Beth had helped Rick with his list, figuring out everything Judith would need. Judith was getting so big, eating more, and needing new clothes. Beth still hadn't made a list to give to Daryl yet, she wanted to talk it over with him first.

Rick began to address the entire group,

"Alright, Daryl, Abraham, Rosita, Sasha, and Michonne are heading out tomorrow, bright and early. If you haven't given one of them your lists yet, make sure you do it now."

Everyone stood up and gave one of the five their lists, they would consolidate them, and send someone to each store to grab things. Everyone would go get food, toiletries, medicine, ammo, hunting and fishing gear, but after that they'd split up. The guys would get men's clothes, while the women got women's, then they'd go get the individual wants.

Rick cleared his throat and raised his glass,

"Cheers to a safe trip tomorrow, and a safe winter."

Everyone lifted their glasses and said "Cheers." Everyone, but Beth and Carl were drinking whiskey that they had found, Beth obviously couldn't drink being pregnant, and Carl was too young, so they were drinkin' Coke. Beth had not been too big a fan of some the things that pregnant women weren't allowed to eat or drink, but she understood the importance of refraining from alcohol, and even if she didn't Daryl would probably kill her.

A little while later, after a few more drinks and joking around, everyone left to go home and prepare for in the morning. Beth was exhausted, and so ready for bed, but she couldn't sleep till her and Daryl made a list for them tomorrow.

"Daryl, we gotta make our list for tomorrow," Beth told him as they walked through the door.

He looked as if he had completely forgotten they hadn't made one yet,

"Okay."

Beth went to grab some paper and a pen, and met Daryl back on the couch.

"Alright, so we both need more clothes, and bathroom stuff."

He nodded at her for her to continue

"Some more blankets, possibly towels, and I think that does it for the basic stuff. If you could find some potato chips, and extra salt that would be amazing, cause I've been craving salt like crazy."

He chuckled a little at her, but nodded for her to continue

"So, y'all are gonna be getting stuff for Judith, so we might as well start getting stuff for Archer Spawn."

Again he nodded thoughtfully at her,

"Don't really know what all Bubba needs."

Beth stared at him incredulously for a moment,

"Bubba? Really?"

"What?" he questioned back at her.

"Nothin', nothin'. Okay, so we should probably stock up on diapers of various sizes, baby wipes, blankets, wash cloths, bibs, bowls, baby spoons, bottles, formula, pacifiers, clothes, if there's room try and find a crib, a pack and play, changing pad or table, play mat, and little toys, like stuffed animals and some of the ones they chew on."

Daryl looked at Beth as if she had grown two heads,

"Babies need that much?"

"Yes Daryl. Haven't you seen how much stuff Judith has now? Or didn't you ever see all the stuff babies had before."

He shook his head no.

"Well, they do. Also, just tell the girls to look for maternity clothes, cause soon I won't fit in mine. My jeans are already starting to get tighter."

Daryl nodded, but still looked amazed at the fact that babies needed so much, how did people afford them before everythin' went to shit.

"Think that's everything."

Daryl mumbled,

"Sure you don't want me to bring the whole store back."

She fixed him with a sharp look, and he decided it'd be better to apologize and shut up,

"Sorry."

Abraham and Rick both told him not to piss of a pregnant women, cause it might be the last thing you ever do, and he was starting to believe it.

"Come on Daryl, lets get to bed. I could fall asleep standing, and we both gotta get up early."

Daryl decided to ask a dumb question then,

"Why you gotta get up early?"

She shot him a death glare,

"Because your Archer Spawn will have me praying to the porcelain throne."

Daryl looked apologetic at that,

"Sorry. Arrow doesn't mean to do it."

She hummed at that, and got ready for bed. Soon they were both laying down. Beth had her head on Daryl's chest, she loved listening to his heartbeat, it was so soothing.

"You gotta be careful out there tomorrow. Come back to me and Bubba in one piece."

He started to laugh at her then,

"See, now you're callin' him Bubba too."

She smacked his chest playfully,

"Hush. It's shorter than Archer Spawn. Promise me you'll be careful."

He looked down at her then,

"I promise I'll be careful."

She smiled and then borrowed her head further into his chest, and soon she was out.

Daryl laid awake for a little longer, rubbing the small swell of Beth's stomach,

"Nite' Bubba."

Soon Daryl was as lost to sleep as Beth was.

I hope you enjoyed, and don't forget to leave suggestions about baby names!
