ZEUS
"I forbid it. I do not one of my children dating the spawn of my unfortunate brother," Zeus thundered.
Thalia raised her eyebrows.
"You didn't seem to have a problem when Jason started dating Piper."
"That was different and you know it!"
"How was it different?"
"She isn't the spawn of my unfortunate brother."
Lightning cracked across the sky.
"He's not spawn and I wish you would stop calling him that," Thalia said angrily.
"No. That's exactly what he is and I forbid you from seeing him again."
"That's going to be hard seeing as we both go to the same camp and are stuck there year round," Thalia said exasperatedly.
"I can easily arrange for that to be changed," Zeus threatened nonchalantly.
Something like panic flew over Thalia's face. Suddenly she leaned back and smirked.
"What really got you to be okay with Jason going out with Piper? And don't tell me it's because my boyfriend is the spawn of your unfortunate brother because Piper isn't and I know you hated it when Piper and Jason started going out."
Zeus turned away from Thalia and muttered something unintelligible under his breath. Thalia smiled wickedly as she faintly heard what he had said.
"Aphrodite!" Thalia called.
Aphrodite suddenly appeared out of no where like she had been listening and waiting for a summons.
"She's got a point," Aphrodite said like she had been a part of a conversation the whole time. "And they make such a cute couple. You know that you forbidding it is just going to make her love him more. It's always what happens when two young people fall in love."
Zeus looked liable to explode and strike both Aphrodite and Thalia down where they stood. He opened his mouth to shout again, but quickly closed it with a snap as Aphrodite glared him.
"Fine. Fine, but I do not want this mentioned ever again. Do you hear?" Zeus said pointing at Thalia.
"Yes, Father," Thalia said trying to hide her smile. Aphrodite beamed.
"Now get out before I change my mind," Zeus said turning and walking to his throne.
Thalia bowed to Zeus and then Aphrodite.
"Yes, Father. Thank you, Lady Aphrodite."
Zeus just growled and glared. Aphrodite winked at Thalia as Thalia turned and walked out the doors to return to Camp Half-Blood.
