HOMECOMING
A/N: So a few things before I actually get to the one-shot itself. One, 100 reviews! Thanks for all the support and suggestions as I've written this. I love seeing all of your comments. Two, a few people have requested that I write some fics with Nico being a little more forward. Loads of shit has been happening these past few days, but once trouble is averted I will do my best to write a fic that follows these suggestions. Three, for some reason while I was writing this a thought came to me and I would just like to ask: Could they make guns and ammunition out of celestial bronze and imperial gold? I think it would help a bit in the long range weapons department and it would give the Apollo cabin something new to play with. I don't know. Just a thought. So here's the next fic and I hope you enjoy.
"Stop worrying. He's going to be perfectly fine," Annabeth said exasperatedly as she watched Thalia pace back and forth and wring her hands. She had been sitting peacefully in her cabin, designing a new temple for Mount Olympus when Thalia had come running in. It had been happening everyday since Nico had left on his quest and Annabeth was getting tired of it.
"No he's not. What if he gets hurt? What if he runs out of ambrosia and nectar? What if he needs help and can't get ahold of any of us? What if he dies?" Thalia worried, still pacing.
"It's going to be fine. Get yourself together and stop worrying," Annabeth snapped.
Thalia continued to pace and glared at Annabeth.
"You're one to talk," Thalia snapped back. "You should have seen yourself when Percy was missing."
Thalia stopped and stood stock still with wide eyes as Annabeth flinched. They stayed like that in silence for a few moments.
"Annabeth. I'm sorry. I didn't mean that. I don't know what came over me. I'm sorry," Thalia said, struggling as her words stumbled over each other as she rushed to get them out.
"No," Annabeth said sadly. "No you're right. Don't be sorry."
Thalia opened her mouth to say something, but was interrupted as another person came bursting into the Athena cabin. Annabeth threw her hands up and spun around to yell at the offender, but stopped when she realized it was a very breathless Percy. Thalia and Annabeth stood and watched him as he caught his breath.
"Nico," he said breathlessly, motioning toward the Big House and the hill. "On the hill."
Thalia glanced at Annabeth before dashing out of the Athena cabin and toward the Big House like she had been shot from a gun.
Some of the campers stopped and stared as Thalia went shooting past them. She quickly came into sight of the hill and saw Nico standing at the top talking to Chiron. She put on an extra burst of speed and started to run up the hill. Nico turned toward Thalia right before she reached him. He smiled through the dirt on his face as she got closer. He opened his arms as she jumped and tackled him in a big hug. She quickly pulled back and kissed him.
"Please don't ever go on a quest without me again," Thalia whispered breathlessly.
"I won't," Nico promised.
She leaned forward and kissed him again, not caring that he was covered in dirt and blood and that he tasted like dirt and breath that hadn't seen a toothbrush in weeks. Chiron smiled as he turned and walked back to the Big House.
A/N: Another thought. How do demigods not get cavities? I mean, obviously they brush their teeth, but they lose so much of their shit on quests I wouldn't be surprised if they lose their toothbrush and then can't brush their teeth at night and to tell the truth I don't think that's their main concern, but I would just like to know how they keep their teeth intact if they don't brush for weeks on end during quests. Okay. Enough of my rambling. You can go on with your lives. If you don't have a life and just sit in front of your computer all day like I do, then go about scrolling through Tumblr or Twitter or Pinterest or more Fanfiction or whatever other websites you're on and have fun. Away from my ramblings. Okay I'm going to shut up now.
