Chapter 7

True to Percy's watch, a swirling portal of blue appeared and spit out three people. Piper, who was swaying and looking disoriented, Jason, who was rubbing his head, and Reyna, tangled in her purple cloak. Annabeth steadied Piper and Michelle helped untangle Reyna. Percy hauled Jason to his feet.

"Glad you could join us little brother," Thalia said. Jason waved.

"Hi sis." Reyna checked to make sure she had her weapons. Piper coughed a couple of times.

"So," she said, once she cleared her lungs. "We were sent here to make peace with the Norse gods, but the Norse gods don't know that we're Greek demigods?" Michelle sat back down. Reyna sat next to Clarisse. The daughter of Ares nodded.

"Yeah," she answered.

"I'm not really sure how that helps our cause," Piper said. "But I'm not arguing with the king of the sky." There were nods and murmurs of assent.

"So, how do we know Heimdall's not watching us right now?" Jason questioned. Thalia grinned.

"Some Hunter techniques dear brother. When we first got here, I covered all of our rooms with camouflage netting, like the kind that I used to cover the Athena Parthenos." Reyna nodded.

"It rendered the statue virtually invisible to Orion," she remembered. "And he was a giant with super senses so it would probably work on Heimdall. Smart."

"That and Artemis personally blessed it."

"And if it doesn't work," Michelle said. "We're centaur manure."

"Don't let Chiron hear you say that," Nico muttered to her. Michelle wrinkled her nose playfully at him.

"So who is bunking with who?" Reyna asked.

"I'll take Jason," Nico said.

"I'll take Reyna," Clarisse said.

"Then we'll take Piper," Michelle said. Annabeth nodded and banged the book on the table. She opened her mouth, but Percy beat her to it again.

"The great Imperial Demigod Court will now absolve and head to bed!" Annabeth facepalmed. Michelle laughed as she followed Thalia and Piper out.

"He's never gonna change Wise Girl," she said with a grin before following the other two to their rooms.

"So you ya wanna bunk with?" Michelle asked Piper, pulling her IPod from her pocket and scrolling through her songs. "Me or Lightning Rod?" Thalia raised an eyebrow.

"'Lightning Rod'?!"

"Yep." Piper snickered.

"I'll take Michelle. No offense Thalia."

"None taken. Get settled in, I'll be in here if you need me." Michelle grinned and gestured to Piper.

"This way Beauty Queen." Piper followed Michelle into her room. Michelle arranged a huge pile of blankets on the floor for herself while Piper changed in the bathroom. "Any gossip Piper?" she asked. Piper chuckled and sat on the bed, crossing her legs.

"A daughter of the goddess of agriculture asking the daughter of Aphrodite for gossip? Isn't it supposed to be the opposite?"

"Hey, it's interesting." Piper grinned and flopped on the bed.

"Well there have been a few new couples."

"We've been gone for like three days! Were they like, 'Oh, the main couple is gone, we'd better make some more'?!" Piper covered her mouth and snickered.

"No, we weren't," she said. "Okay, there are only two new couples. One of them has your sister." Michelle blinked.

"Which one? I have several."

"Katy."

"Oh, who's she dating?"

"Can you guess?"

"Hm…John from Hecate! He seemed to like her."

"Nope."

"Mike from Nemesis? He's cute."

"Oh, definitely not!"

"At least tell me which cabin!"

"Hermes."

"Cecil?" Piper's expression was answer enough. Michelle thought before someone else came to her mind. She gasped. "Is it Travis Stoll?!"

"Yep." Michelle grinned and clapped her hands.

"He finally asked her out! Yes! I was wondering when!" Piper smiled.

"And Will Solace got together with Alice."

"Alice Begena, the daughter of Hebe?!"

"Uh-huh."

"Isn't she the really flirty one with like fifty previous boyfriends?"

"Yeah."

"Oh, poor Will."

"I agree, but the poor boy's totally smitten with her."

"Well you can't really blame them. The Hebe girls ARE attractive. Their mother is the goddess of youth after all."

"I hope that Will's heart doesn't get cut into teeny pieces, thrown into a fire, and then the ashes trampled on by Hannibal the elephant." Piper raised an eyebrow good naturedly.

"That's a bit harsh."

"Hey, I call it like I see it." Piper chuckled before crawling under the covers. Michelle quickly changed into her nightclothes and crawled into her giant pile of blankets. She pulled her IPod from a pocket and quickly put in her headphones before selecting the playlist labeled 'Bee Gees'. 'Stayin' Alive' came on and Michelle hummed along. It took several more songs to get her to drop off, but she finally did. The next day, Michelle and Thalia introduced Piper to Sif, Volstagg, Hogun, and Fandral at breakfast. Jason was quick to make it clear to Fandral that Piper was his girl. Needless to say, the Asgardian wasn't quick to repeat his experience with Thalia over again. Annabeth made up a very convincing, scientific explanation as to how Reyna, Jason, and Piper had gotten there. Michelle had a hard time not dozing off. When everyone got up to head out to their work, the demigods approached Odin.

"My lord," Annabeth, the designated diplomat, said. "We offer our service to you again, as well as the service of our three friends." Thor, who was standing next to Odin, was eying Jason in an unfriendly manner. Michelle gently nudged Piper.

"Yo, charmspeak." Piper nodded and stepped forwards.

"My lord," she said, smiling sweetly. "I am sorry for any inconvenience that we may have caused you. May I suggest that you send one of us on an errand so that you can know to trust us?" The charmspeak washed over everyone. Michelle totally agreed with everything that Piper was saying. Odin nodded.

"That is a good idea young one. Michelle." Michelle blinked and stepped forwards.

"My lord Odin?"

"I wish you to keep watch over Loki. Report everything he does to me." Michelle bowed.

"Yes my lord, of course." Odin gestured. Thor came forwards.

"Come Michelle. I will take you to the dungeons."
