His aunt screamed as harry, Ron, Hermione and Dobby vanished into midair. Draco, who had hidden himself behind the large green couch, hurried to his feet, ran across the room and down the stairs which led to the dungeon. The door was half open. No...he thought...no…..she can't be... But she was gone. Draco signed as he sank to the floor, leaning on the wall. He felt so selfish. Luna was safe. She wasn't a prisoner anymore. But still...all he wanted was for her to come back to him. He signed again as he pulled his worn, blonde hair back, Trying to pull himself up from the floor.
But… Suddenly, his hand came past something on the floor. Beside him was å piece of old paper, a little pencil and...his eyes widened... a necklace, made out of old butterbeer corks. As he pulled the necklaces up from the floor, he noticed that the piece of old paper was written on. He quickly grabbed the letter and began to read.
Dear Draco
When you're reading this, I am gone. I have escaped with Harry and the others. I know you really hoped I could have stayed longer, but as we both now, I would most likely been killed if i had. I left my necklace with you , so that we have an excuse to meet again. I am returning to Hogwarts after the Easter holidays. We might see eatchother then, unless you don't want to be seen with me. It's okay. I understand you're reasons. I hope i'll se you again soon, and don't worry. I won't tell the other what you have told me over the past few weeks. if anything is bothering you, remember what I have told you. Stay strong, and believe in yourself.
I love you Draco Malfoy, remember that.
Luna
Draco signed and placed the necklace around his neck. «Damn it Luna, if you say things like this..." He laughed, tears coming out of his eyes
"I love you too"
