Annabeth rummaged in her bag for her room keys, humming contentedly. The first thing she saw as she stepped into the room was her best friend Thalia, who had evidently thrown herself onto her bed without a care in the world. Next, her eyes landed on someone who she hadn't seen before. He had beautiful sea green eyes that complemented his dark windswept hair. He was looking at a sheaf of papers confusedly but immediately jumped up when he saw Annabeth.
"I'm Percy Jackson, Thalia's cousin," he said.
Annabeth held out her hand. "Nice to meet you, I'm Annabeth Chase."
