Harold was lying in bed reading a questionnaire that helped you answer who your true soul mate was. At first, he thought nothing of this, but he suddenly had an epiphany. He went straight to his laptop and began creating a software for his new invention, a machine that would provide him with the social security numbers of two individuals who are soul mates. He thought it would be interesting to create an artificial intelligence that could be the "ultimate" matchmaker.

2 years later…..

As Harold finished the last coding sequence for his machine, he began thinking about whose soul mate he should ask the machine to find first. While Harold was contemplating there was a knock on the door…..

"Hey Finch, anything new with you today?" said John

"Nothing really Mr. Reese, just making the final adjustments on my new machine"

"What does this 'machine' of yours do exactly"

"There we go, finally finished. Well Mr. Reese if you really want to know what it does, why don't we test its capabilities"

Harold tells John to place his face in front of the machine's camera and the machine begins to analyze his face so it could gather data on his soul mate.

Just as this is all happening, someone comes flying in through the door and is directly behind John looking into the camera with him.

"Hey ladies, what's all the fuss about?"

"Hello to you too Ms. Shaw" said Harold, "I was just showing Mr. Reese my most recent invention, the Machine"

"Well that's 'interesting' I guess"

The machine then spits out two social security numbers and a grin starts to immediately form on Harold's face.

"Well, Mr. Reese and Ms. Shaw, I guess we will have to get to work on discovering who these two people are"

"Well what exactly do those numbers represent?" asks Ms. Shaw

"The first number is technically supposed to provide us with Mr. Reese's soul mate and the second number is for your soul mate Ms. Shaw"

The three of them begin to conduct research on the two social security numbers and after 8 hours of extensive research, they come up with two identities.

"Looks like the first number was for a Detective Carter, and the second one is for a Samantha Groves" said Harold

"Do you seriously think those two people are our soulmates Finch?" said Shaw

"You never know Ms. Shaw, you never know…"
