As Hanji stepped out of his room to do who knows what, Levi turned to look at the toddler who was busy looking from the people below to a bird that was sitting on a nearby branch. The raven hair slipped his cloak off and hung it up on a peg before walking over to Eren, "Let's take your coat off Eren." He said as he turned the boy around and carefully took the brunette's burgundy coat off and went to put it on a peg as well. Sighing quietly, the msn moved to sit on a chair next to the one the toddler was using to gaze out the window, "Are you hungry Eren?"
He watched as big green eyes looked to him and shook his head, "No." He said quickly before pointing to the bird he was gazing at then looked to the raven hair as though he was asking what it was.
"That is a Blue Bird Eren." Levi said quietly, "A bird. Can you say bird?" He inched a little closer to the toddler, "Bird." He repeated, pointing to the Blue Bird perched on the tree branch.
Eren looked to the bird and then back to Levi, listening to him closely as well as watching his lips. He blinked his eyes a couple times, "Bir." The toddler pointed at the bird outside, "Bir!"
Levi moved closer until the boy moved to stans on his legs so he could still see the Blue Bird, "Bird. Bir-d" Levi said slowly so that Eren could hear the last letter, emphasizing it a little bit more, "Bird." He,watched as it seemed to finally click in the boy's head as Eren looked from him to the bird outside.
The toddler pointed at the bird, his finger pressing against the glass, "Bird!" He said excitedly, laughing as he looked to the animal, "Bird!"
"Good job Eren." Levi said as he praised the boy as the toddler sat down on the raven hair's lap, snuggling up to the man, "Very good." Levi looked up to see Hanji standing there before she to walked over, "He just said Bird." The man said quietly since it appeared that Eren was starting to fall asleep.
Hanji nodded, "I was standing there the entire time." She ran her hand through the boy's hair gently as she silently thought about something until she caught Levi staring at her in such a way as though he,was silently telling her to tell him what was on her mind, "I was just thinking.. even though you are usually cold towards people.. that it is wonderful how you took him in without any second thoughts." She said softly, watching Levi look away, "Then you.."
"Yes I used you being the boy's mother as an indirect way to ask you to date me." Levi said quickly, avoiding looking at her. He felt pathetic with the fact that he could not ask her directly, despite being humanity's strongest. The man finally looked over to the woman as she gently took a now sleeping Eren from him, "I guess he is tired from the ride."
"Yes he must be. I will put him to bed." She said as the woman stood up and walked into the room directly next door that was the bedroom. Levi then made a mental note that he will need to have a bed brought in for Eren. Moving over to the sofa, Levi pulled a file on his desk over to him. Clearing his throat as he opened it he glanced over the top to Hanji as she quietly walked into the room and sat down next to him, "He will be asleep for a little while. He is pretty tired." Hanji smirked as she slipped the file out of his hands, "And you can use some rest as well." She said as the brunette tossed the file onto the desk.
Glaring at her more so because she tossed the file onto the desk, causing papers to scatter, Levi leaned over and straightened them out. The raven hair growled in frustration as the woman next to him pulled him by the collar of his coat away from the desk, "Wha-" he was cut off when Hanji pressed her lips to his.
She stayed still for a moment before pulling away with a smirk, "Do you have any idea how long I wanted to do that?" She asked, Licking her lips a little as she looked to him then away for what was possibly a fraction of a second before she felt a hand on her cheek. Looming to see him leaning closer to her, Hanji's heart started to beat faster as he pressed his lips to hers. To her surprise, at the same time he was gently pushing her back until she,was laying on her back, himself on top as the raven hair continued to kiss her, his lips moving to her neck.
"L-Levi?" Hanji stuttered looking up at the man, breathing heavily.
"I'm sorry I couldn't help myself." Levi said as he leaned up to get off of her, just to get pulled back down.
"Was I complaining?" Hanji asked, her eyes were starting to sparkle.
"No." Levi said plainly.
"Then get back to it soldier." She said with a smirk, pulling Levi the rest of the way to her, her lips making eager contact with hers. The woman's hand moved downwards until it rested on his belt. She proceeded to undo his belt when both heard crying coming from the bedroom, causing Levi to groan and Hanji to giggle, "Looks like a cocktail block just happened. I will go see what his problem is." She said as Levi stood up, to allow Hanji to move.
