Arranged
Summary: The marriage was nothing they wanted. All they could do was try to put up with each other. GuriPura. MangaCavalier. AU
"Do we have to go to school?" White groaned with annoyance. Her cousin had been complaining ever since they had woken up. They both didn't like school, but it was the only way they could see their favourite uncle, Steven Stone. He was a teacher at their school and their form teacher. They could also see their auntie, Flannery. Other than them, only their friends would keep them from skipping school.
"Yes, now stop complaining."
"Can we at least get there faster?"
"No, unless you want to run in your skirt."
"Is that an option?"
"No, it is not."
White pouted and crossed her arms while looking, not happy that she had lost a verbal argument. MeiRosa saw this and said to her to try and cheer her cousin up, "The faster we get there, the faster we can see Uncle and Auntie." That cheered her up right away and she fastened her pace.
As always, Blue was standing against the gate of the Berlitz household waiting for Platina. Her headphones were on her head, blasting music into her ears. She swayed back and forth, the music filling her all her senses.
A pat on her back interrupted her from her music and she looked back to see red eyes staring at her. She cocked her head to the side, blinking at the person. Those eyes looked familiar but she still couldn't point out where she had seen them…
"Blue?"
She snapped out of her thoughts and blushed, now realising that she was staring. She looked down to avoid him seeing her face. She could hear his mocking laughter coming any second. When it didn't, Blue looked up and saw his curious eyes looking at the side of her arm. Well, her sleeve if she had to be exact.
"Do you want me to walk you to school?" Red asked. Blue looked at him for moments before raising an eyebrow. Was he joking? Plus, how would he know what school she went to. Wait… The school crest was on the sleeve he was looking at. Oh…
"Um… I'm supposed to wait for Platina," she awkwardly pointed at the house behind her. Secretly though, she wanted Red to try and pursue her into walking to school with him and then talking on the way there, laughing at stupid jokes.
Red nodded in understanding, "Well, that's fine." After that, he walked off. Blue blinked for a few seconds before sighing and turning back to the house, almost shouting at her from where she stood. Well, she saw Platina smiling –almost smirking- and shut her mouth. "Where were you?"
"Just… behind you, looking at your small exchange with Red over there. So, he goes to our school, huh?" Platina let the tiniest hint of a smirk grace her lips but it disappeared right as Blue glared at her. Though, Platina could not help but let a giggle slip. Her dainty hand passed her messenger bag to Blue, only to have it harshly ripped out of her hands.
"Shut up, and walk."
"Super serious gal! Hey, super serious gal! SUPER SERIOUS GAL!" The blue haired girl, annoyed, turned around and stuck a finger in the air. The boy that was calling her stopped in his tracks for a moment, shocked at her actions especially since it was in a public place, but continued running towards her. His footsteps got faster every time she got further away from him.
Mummers started forming around him;
"Oh, what a pitiful boy."
"Is he chasing after his girlfriend?"
"Do you think they had a fight?"
"He looks like he's in trouble."
"But he also looks like he's having fun."
He grinned and started sprinting, his pace faster than ever. She could hear his heavy footsteps and sighed, preparing to run ahead of him. She was the star sprinter in the school, and had won so many awards even if she was only a junior. Hopping a little to prep herself for the final sprint to school, she ran as if her life depended on it.
"KRYSTAL!"
"Why didn't onee-san wake me up?" the red haired boy hurriedly put on his uniform, tied his shoelaces together and ran out of the house. He might not look like it on the outside, but he did care about school. Especially since he was a boy from the Berlitz household, it was important that he was more than averagely educated. Of course, that also meant that he was constantly under pressure- studying day and night. He usually had to stay up late nights before upcoming exams, cramming everything printed in the textbooks into his brain.
Right now, he was running at top speed to school while checking his school bag if he had all the books, notebooks and homework files. He had a huge load of notes in his bag; each subject had more than three books and at least one homework file. They were important because sometimes, his older sister would scribble in her notebook and miss everything that the teachers were talking about. So, he was forced to lend her his notes for her to copy. Though, this didn't happen much, it was still useful in case.
He was so busy checking everything that he hadn't noticed a girl running the opposite direction he was running at. Since they were both running at their top speeds while shuffling stuff in his case, they bumped into each other and fell. Most of his stuff in his bag flew out and landed around them.
"Hey! Watch where you're going!" he shouted while picking up everything that had flown in a haste. The girl didn't reply and he looked up one second to check if she was doing fine before turning his attention back to his school supplies. The girl stayed rubbing her head, probably also glaring at him but he could not bother to care about her.
"Hey, girl, you should probably check the position you're in…" He trailed off and flicked his silver eyes away from her. Silver's words slowly registered in her mind before she quickly closed her legs and her face was painted in a glowing pink. Silver felt eyes burning his back and turned around. "What?"
"Did you see anything?" She asked carefully, her voice almost shaky. Silver extended a hand after he stood up, helping her up in the process.
"I never saw anything, really."
The blonde girl nodded before running in the direction she was heading. Silver looked back one last time before running towards the school again. Silver orbs flickered to his watch and they widened. He was almost late!
A/N: Yay! New chapter. Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about this, I've just been having serious writer's block and I can't think straight. Hope you all have not forgotten about this! So far, I've been posting short one-shots and updating my AC story. Sorry about that. I swear that I will try and update this as soon as possible, but I might have writer's block again... T-T
Review repiles~
a random reader: I saw the date beside your name and I just started thinking 'Omg have I not updated in that long?' Sorry for the long wait! Nah, don't flatter me. I just always write random things and then I start making the go all OOC and then I wait for a moment before continuing with the rest of the chapter- or end it there. I know poor Sapphire, she didn't even get any screen time in this chapter... Sorry! I forgot!
XWhiteChanX: Yeah... I actually wasn't thinking straight when I wrote that part about Sapphire crying. I swear I was going to write something else but nothing else came to mind so I went with what I think I would do. I wanted to portray her as a strong character in that chapter but ended up failing. She would still be the crazy, ape-girl we all know though. Just, somehow.
I honestly have no idea who to pair up with Yellow. I really like SiruBuru (Chosen) and ReBuru but I plan on having the latter in this story so Silver would most likely end up alone in that sense. I like GoKuri (MangaQuest) so no way am I pairing her up with Gold. I also love RuSa (Frantic) so that's Ruby off the list. Honestly, Emerald should not be paired with anyone. He doesn't show any interest in anyone and I personally think is better off alone. I also somewhat ship DaiPura (Commoner) so that's a big fat no! I somehow don't like Pearl... I mean, I can relate to him in a strange sense but he doesn't seem like the type to focus on romance- to me at least.
And I can't ship Yellow with Lance cause I like WataErika (SnapDragon) so really, I had no choice but to pair her with Silver. Though you're right, Yellow would most likely mellow out Silver a little. Not so sure what Silver could do for her though. Sorry for the wait!
ILuvPkemn: You're welcome! I also apologize for this late late late chapter. Sorry! Well, maybe that can work... Just, the two of them, awkwardly sitting in the ferris wheel, waiting of the torture to end and then- BAM! It stops. It's dark, and get to know each other... Yeah, it could work. Nah, I would much rather have her still there. She would make an interesting plot point. Maybe I would also get her to hook up with others... I'm making her out to be a witch, sorry! I will love to~
YOU PEOPLE ARE THE MOST PATIENT READERS I'VE EVER HAD! THANK YOU~
