A/N: Hey guys! Here is Ch.12 of On the Horizon! We are nearing the close! Just 2 more chapters and an epilogue! It is now October 16th almost a month after Brady's death about 2 weeks until the battle and Jade is about 4 and a half months pregnant.

Seth's POV.
"Seth I want chicken nuggets and marshmallows!" Jade whined from the kitchen as she was slamming cabinets. I went in there and chuckled at her. I hugged her tightly.
"That's nasty." I said.
"So!" she whined. "I want it." She gave me the pouty lip and puppy eyes.
"Fine." I sighed and grabbed my keys, she smiled.
"Bestest husband ever." She kissed me. "When you get back I'll be waiting for you upstairs in something a little sexier." She whispered seductively in my ear. I ran out the door and down the street to the store as fast as I can. I grabbed chicken nuggets and marshmallows and was at the counter in under a minute and a half.
"Nasty man." Embry said from behind the counter.
"I know." He rang me up and I was back home in under 3 minutes. I ran upstairs and bursted in the bedroom, my shirt already off Jade was on the bed, naked beckoning me to her, I dropped the bag and jumped on the bed.
"Awesome sex." She panted about twenty minutes later and high fived me.
"Thanks." I panted. "You too." She looked at the clock.
"Grandpa will be back with Lizzi any minute now let's get dinner ready." I nodded and we went downstairs to cook pork chops, green beans, mashed potatoes and cornbread. I was in the middle of making the potatoes when Jake came in.
"Hey, We need you for patrol; Sam is busy with Emily's sickness." He said, Sam and Emily found out she was pregnant about 2 weeks after we found out Jade was. I looked at Jade who nodded. I kissed her and left with Jake.

"Alright guys remember keep security tight, I don't want any gaps you got it?" Jake asked and we all nodded. We continued our patrol, me and Colin taking the south.
"How you doing man?"
"It's getting easier for me, having something to focus on with this battle but mom, she still cries over his baby pictures every day and still tries waking him up for breakfast."
"I'm sorry bro?"
"It's ok, I got a good look at him." He showed the red haired male vampire who smiled at him right before crushing Brady's lungs and heart. "I'm gonna kill him, or die trying."
"We'll get 'em all buddy." I said and we heard a scuffle. The breeze carried the oh-so familiar scent towards us and we shot off east.
"Jake we got something!" I told him.
"On our way!" He yelled and He, Danny and Jared shot towards us. We followed the trail until he busted across a street. Danny shot off after him but we saw that there were 2 more in the road, one slapped Danny and he came flying back into the woods Jared and I burst into the road and came face to face with a blonde man and a black haired man.
"Well well, what do we have here?" The blonde smiled his accent thick. "Julius will be pleased to know about the big doggies that the Cullen's have." We growled.
"I got the other!" Jake exclaimed.
"And Emmett and Jasper are one there way!" Danny announced. A second later Jasper, Emmett, Jake and Danny joined us.
"Boys lets save the fight for another day." The blonde asked. "How about Halloween? Sounds merely fitting for a vampire and werewolf war."
"Well you'll be less one soldier." Emmett smiled. "Your buddy just became some Purina." The blonde smiled.
"A mere grunt." He waved it off. "Until next time." The road filled with black smoke and he vanished.

"What the hell was that?" I asked once we were at the Cullen's house a few minutes later.
"His power is illusion, things that allow him to confuse and distract the enemy but luckily it's a mental power Bella can block." Edward said after reading our memories in the event.
"How good is Bells at that now?" Jake asked.
"She's impressive, can almost shield all of us for fifteen minutes."
"Good going Bella." I hugged her and she chuckled.

About an hour later I headed home to the house I now shared with Jade and Lizzi. I walked in the door and Gerald, Jade and Lizzi were at the table.
"How was patrol babe?" She asked.
"Long." I said and I began explaining.
"They sound powerful." Gerald acknowledged.
"Very." I answered. "Carlisle says our bond as a family is stronger than a mafia which may be true but I'm starting to feel like not all of us are coming out of this alive."
"Don't think like that." Lizzi said as she sat down my plate.
"Sorry babe." I apologized. We sat and talked with Gerald until around ten when he decided to head home. He looked at me as I walked him to the door.
"No matter what happens Seth, make sure you come back for her and those kids." He said.
"I'll try Gerald, I promise." I said and he nodded before slipping on his coat and heading outside into the night. I walked back into the kitchen where Jade was washing dishes and I began helping her. After we were done we put Lizzi to bed in her playpen by the couch and sat down to watch a movie. We decided on watching I Am Number Four. We were at the part when the dog became that huge son of a fucking dragon type deal when I looked down and noticed Jade was asleep. I smiled and laid down on the couch, gently placing Jade on top of me. I watched TV until I fell asleep.

A few hours later I woke up to jade crying on my chest.
"What's wrong baby?" I asked.
"I had a dream that you died in the battle, I was there I watched it happen." She started sobbing and I held her tightly.
"No matter what I will come back to you, even if it takes defying the will of god I will come back to you." She nodded against my chest and I continued rubbing her back until she fell back asleep. I will come back to you…. I hope.
