PROLOGUE

A loud siren wakes the silence.
I thought I had more time!
The lone figure dashed away from the beach. It headed for the unfamiliar dark forest. It stepped up its pace when it heard loud howls and cursing. Its heart was pounding as fast as it was running.
"NXEX001 has the sample!" and "Find him or pay!" could be heard as grunts flew and surfed every which way from the island NXEX001 just escaped from. Several were coming to where the he was.
Heart still pounding, the experiment leaped into the forest with a rustle of leaves. The grunts whipped around and saw the leaves dance. They had reached the beach and sent out several Mightyena.
They have the Mightyena out? This is definitely not good.
One Mightyena made its way into a small opening two minutes into the forest. As it closed its eyes and looked up to sniff out the target, something big smashed him to the ground. The figure dashed through the small opening only to run into an Admin with a big red "R" on its shirt.
A little startled, the Admin quickly recovered and said, "Ah, NXEX001, what a surprise. You have caused us too much trouble and have failed every test. Hand over the Nitroxide and I will not take you down."
Sensing the Mightyena behind him, NXEX001 shouted, "Liar!"
The figure leapt aside as flames flew past and engulfed several trees. The Mightyena repeated the attack using a powerful Flame Wheel before the figure could recover. The figure was blasted back a ways and smacked right into a tree.
"So, NXEX, you like my improved Mightyena? It is the successful MNEX001. Failure, meet success!"
The dog then used Extremespeed, but NXEX001 said, "Ko!" and, by using its tail, used Detect to block it. The move drained his energy, completely immobilizing him. The Admin came through an opening and chuckled upon the sight of the fallen Pokemon.
"Now, NXEX, for the final blow. Mightyena, use Take Down!"
All of a sudden, as the Pokemon charged, a blue figure came out of nowhere and blocked the attack!
"What?!?!?!" exclaimed the admin. "This is a new breed!" he thought aloud. "You'll be great for my arsenal. Maybe even MNEX002!
But as the admin reached for his only master ball, the blue figure blew the Mightyena and the admin away with an Aura Sphere attack! The admin and the Mightyena were immediately knocked out.
The figure then checked over the burned NXEX. Amazed, the hurt figure instantly fainted. The blue figure put out the fires with Water Pulse and hid the hurt figure in a hollow tree. Soon, a crowd of grunts with their own Mightyena appeared, and the figure sped off in the blink of an eye. The grunts spread out farther inland for a sign of either one of the Pokemon, but could not find either one.
Giovanni would definitely not be pleased.
