Okay, here's chapter 6, it continues from were chapter 5 left off, hope it's not too bland.

'The Common boy'

'The escape part 2'

I helped Matilda stand and we followed Gary away from the campsite to the road where the others were waiting on horseback. The carriage was gone, traded for the horses, Gary lifted the princess onto a horse and then put me behind her the same horse he said, "Protect her." I nodded and he got onto another horse. We set off heading further away from Corus. It took a while for me to get used to riding, then a while longer to get used to riding while holding onto a sleeping person, let alone a princess.

We traveled north for five days, through forests and one very large swamp, we stayed in caves most nights for the shelter and the fact that we couldn't stay in the waypoints like normal travelers. Matilda slept through most of it, never leaving my side, I asked Alanna why she slept so much and Alanna told me that she hadn't slept for several days, and had nightmares when she did sleep. The fact that she was sleeping so well meant that she trusted me. We finally stopped our adventure when we immerged from a forest, a large clearing spanned out in front of us leading to a river that spanned out in both directions further than my eyes could see. In the center of the river was a log bridge. We crossed the clearing and then the bridge, Matilda stirred in my arms and slowly woke. She opened her eyes and saw a fort sitting upon an unnaturally steep hill, all around it were fields, each growing a different crop.

We rode past the fields, some of the workers stopping and looking at us, Gary waved to some of them and so did George. One man who looked up saw Numair and squeaked, Numair looked at him then laughed, I would ask him about it later. We rode up the side of the hill, along a path made to make it easier to travel to the top. We reached the gate, I looked above it and saw the word HEAVEN posted there. Matilda gasped but didn't say anything.

George called out, "Open the gate." A man on the wall looked down at us and the turned to someone inside and yelled, "Open the gate, the thieves are here." The gates slowly swung open and we entered, I jumped off the back of the horse and then helped Matilda down. She looked around at all the people working and sighed, It almost sounded happy. She grabbed my hand and squeezed it, I squeezed back and smiled. Gary walked over to us and said, "We will be safe here, we can build an army train and prepare for whatever comes our way." Our group headed to what looked like the headquarters to inform the leader of the fort the tragic news.

Back at the Castle

The newly appointed king was sitting on his throne starring at the doors, he had been waiting for news about his great niece for over five days, and not one of his search parties have returned. The doors flew open and six men entered, one mage, a royal knight, a watchman, two couriers, and a peasant, one of his search parties. He sat up and asked, "Is there any good new?" the courier stepped forward and said, "all we know is that their headed north and that they have a very powerful mage, he has made it impossible to search for them with magic and all traces of them are gone." The king was furious but he refused to show it he said, "Yes, The traitor Numair is with them he was one of our strongest mages."

The mage of their group stepped forward and said, "it isn't Numair, the mage is far more powerful than him, and the magic feels more wild, almost feral, meaning that the wielder doesn't have full, control, if he has any control at all. The mage they have found is closer to a god then a man, but his lack of control may be enough to unleash total chaos." At that word everyone shiver, they all remembered the war that was triggered by the god of chaos.

The guard standing behind the king said, "Galtorix my king, it could be that boy from the village I was telling you about." Galtorix nodded and waved his hand addressing the search party, he said, "Go back, take as many soldiers as you need, search every town, city, and village leave no stone unturned, they must be found or they will become very difficult advisories when the fight back." The courier nodded and led the search party out.

Galtorix stared at the doors and his rage increased to new heights, he bellowed with rage, letting his rage erupt out of him and turn into a physical force, and tore the doors to shreds. and shaking the whole castle.
