Okay! I have not written a story in a month, so I wanted to do something different from Legend of Zelda and do a Hunger Games fanfic. This story is kind of like when –SPOILER-Rue died but it's someone else Hope you all enjoy! :)
Katniss ran through the forest with Peeta. The arena was a huge and dangerous. Katniss already killed five people. It was day six of the Games. Only six people counting Katniss and Peeta. They spotted a cave and ran into it. It was empty and dark so they stayed were the light shined in. They were both okay but Katniss had a huge cut on her leg. But she could still walk and run.
"I think we should be okay in here" said Katniss dropping her stuff on the ground. Hours pasted as Peeta started making a fire and Katniss hunted for food.
"I got a squirrel" called Katniss lifting it up in her hands. Peeta gave a thumbs up to show 'good job'. Katniss walked back into the cave and put the squirrel on the fire. They both sat next to each other watching the fire. Minutes pasted as the fire was put out by the wind, but the food was cooked enough to eat. They both ate as they heard a sound. Katniss looked up.
"Sounds like someone is around" she said swallowing the food in her mouth. She grabbed her bow and arrow and looked around as Peeta got up. A guy jumped down into the cave with a spear in his hands. Katniss shot her arrow but he went sideways and went around it. She threw the spear at Peeta as Katniss shot again and made it. Right in the chest. Katniss turned around as the spear was inside Peeta.
"PEETA!" She yelled running to him, but he fell on the ground. She picked him up and placed him on the rocks that made him sit up a very little. She took out the spear as Peeta as he moaned in pain while she slowly took it out. Her hands were full of blood after she carried him. Katniss started crying.
"Peeta! I can't continue these Games without you!" she cried. Tears fell all over Peeta.
"Shh" He said with a weak smile. "Everything will be okay without me". Katniss cried.
"Katniss, I will die, but I died in your arms, as long as you're with me am happy". Peeta smiled as Katniss grew a small smile.
"I will win for you Peeta, I promise" Katniss said with a tear streaming down. She picked him up in her arms as she sat down and placed him off the rocks and on the ground next to her; and she was on her knees.
"Katniss, I love you" he whispered.
"I love you t-too" she replied. Peeta smiled as he grabbed her hand, his heart beat slowed down, he had one more minute.
"I might die, but am always with you, forever". He closed his eyes as his heart beat stopped.
"Peeta? PEETA!" She shout. He was gone. Katniss cried as she held his hand tighter. She laid next to him. His last words kept replaying in her head.
"Am always with you too Peeta" she whispered. She got up and left the cave and got flowers and placed them next to Peeta. She gave him a kiss on the check and left. And from that point on, she kept her promise, and won the Hunger Games.
