Yay! It's the weekend! I'll try to update this on Saturday, but if I can't I'll update on Sunday. This is how it'll be from now on, by the way, mostly because of school. Well, that's it for my rambling, now Let's-a-Go!
W is for Watermelon
It was a sweltering day in the Mushroom Kingdom. It hadn't rained in days and the humidity wasn't making the situation any better. No one in the kingdom wanted to go outside in this heat, not even Bowser. He would just mope around Bowser's Castle and complain about how hot it was. Those who weren't complaining about the heat were trying to find different ways to cool off.
The Bros. too, were trying to cool off in this heat wave. Luigi was sticking his face in front of an air conditioner, a content smile appearing on his lips, while Mario had an ice-pack on his head. He smirked when he saw the vulnerable Luigi, an evil glint gleaming in his blue eyes. Fighting back giggles, Mario removed the ice-pack from his head and quickly threw it at Luigi. It hit him in the middle of his back, causing Luigi to yelp in surprise. Mario burst out laughing and Luigi glared at him. As Mario continued to laugh, Luigi noticed a slice of watermelon on the table. Smirking, he took a big bite out of the fruit and grabbed a straw. Breathing through his nose, Luigi fired a barrage of watermelon seeds at Mario, which hit him in the face. Luigi grinned triumphantly as Mario rubbed his nose. Both Bros. then glared at each other and grabbed as many watermelons and straws as they could carry.
Mario dived behind a couch while Luigi hid behind a table he turned over. After stuffing their cheeks with watermelon seeds, the Bros. readied their straws and began firing. Windows, mirrors, and the like were shattered in the crossfire. Even a framed picture of Princess Peach was destroyed in the mix, much to Mario's dismay.
As Mario and Luigi felt around for more ammunition, they soon realized that there were no more watermelons. Slowly, the Bros. got out of their hiding spots, quickly glancing at each other. Looking towards the door, Mario dared, "Bet I can get more watermelons than you, Luigi!" Said bro grinned, also looking at the door, "You're on, Mario!" Without missing a beat, Mario and Luigi bolted out of the door and ran through the Mushroom Kingdom, grabbing as many watermelons as they could carry.
