Hi guys! Well, I know I didn't update last weekend, so yeah, sorry bout that. Anyway, since last week was my birthday (Yay, I'm 16!) updating was the last thing on my mind. But I'm updating now :D
X is for X-Ray
The Bros. were busy practicing their jumps in a park that was nearby their house. They were jumping off of slides, swings, seesaws, basically anything that was in the park. While Luigi jumped off of a nearby swing, he didn't line up right, causing his foot to turn the other way with a sickening crack. Luigi screamed and held his leg in pain, "M-Mario!" Said red plumber rushed over to his little brother, "What's wrong, Luigi?" Mario then noticed Luigi clutching his leg. After grabbing a stick, he tentatively poked Luigi's leg with it, causing Luigi to yell out in pain. Mario nodded, "Well, looks like I gotta take you to the hospital." He facepalmed, "You're such a klutz, Luigi."
At the hospital…
Luigi was rushed into Dr. Toadley's office while Mario followed behind. Luigi groaned, "It's too late for me. I-I can see a light! I'm coming home, momma, I'm coming! Goodbye cruel world!" Mario and the few nurses carrying him on the stretcher just rolled their eyes.
Soon, the doors to Dr. Toadley's office swung open. The little mushroom-headed doctor turned around, "Do you have a patient for me? You do. Should I be surprised that this patient is before me? I should not." He said the last part sarcastically while eyeing Luigi. Dr. Toadley walked over Luigi's leg and promptly hit it. Luigi screamed in agony while Mario and the nurses had to slap their hands over their mouths to stifle their giggles. Dr. Toadley nodded, "Does he need an x-ray? He does. Is his leg broken? Probably." Luigi gulped as he was wheeled away to another room.
While Mario hung out in the waiting room, Luigi was in the x-ray room. He shivered as he saw nothing but darkness. A toad on a step stool jumped up when he saw Luigi on the stretcher. "Hey, Luigi!" He called out happily, "What did you break this time?" Luigi blushed and stammered, "M-my leg." The toad looked at him questioningly, "What was that?" Luigi's blush darkened as he yelled, "MY LEG!" The toad was taken aback by Luigi's reaction, but shrugged and started up the machine. There were a few flashes of white, before the Toad pulled back the curtain and yelled, "OK done!" He held up the images while Luigi sat up, "Well, the good news is that your leg isn't broken, just sprained." Luigi sighed in relief and mentally mocked everyone who mocked him, making a triumphant smirk spread across his face.
After placing his leg in a cast, Mario and Luigi went back home. Luigi plopped down on the couch and sang, "Hey Maaario?" Mario groaned and asked, "What now, Luigi?" Luigi grinned, "I wanna see Princess Peach!" Mario facepalmed, "You can't see her if you're up on pain killers." The now loopy Luigi whined, "But Mario, I wanna see her!" He then tried to get up, only to plop back down and start giggling. Mario sighed exasperatedly, "This is gonna be a long recovery." He looked at Luigi, who was now giggling uncontrollably, and facepalmed.
