AN: Hello.

Chapter 8: Powerful

Silena POV

I take a deep breath and place a hand on Gieta's chest. "Please. You must do everything you can to save her." The queen begs of me. "I still don't understand. Why me?" I ask her. "You are in love. Truly in love. I am not. As the Zamaronian people's hearts are strengthened by the loving energy infused in our rings, a power blast from the ring of one who is in love will jump-start her heart." The doctor explains to me.

"Alright." I say. I take another deep breath and focus my energy into the ring on my finger. "Gieta. I don't even know you. But your aunt needs you. Come back, Gieta. Come back." I whisper. It doesn't seem to be working. "Try harder! Try anything!" Queen Aga'po screams. "I... don't... know... how." I say, my strength fading.

My thoughts somehow find their way to Johnny and Roy. They would want me to continue. I can nearly hear Johnny telling me that I can do this. I stop focusing my energy into my ring and start focusing it into Gieta's heart. "You can wake up Gieta." I whisper.

I hear a gasp and feel Gieta's chest rise again. "She's okay!" I cry, and then fall to my knees, exhausted. "Thank you, Silena Anderson of Earth. You have saved my niece's life." Queen Aga'po told me, embracing Gieta. "Happy... to... help." I manage to get out before unconsciousness takes me away from Zamaron.

Alex W. POV

Antolian?" I ask Ganthet when he tells Uncle Saint and I about what Johnny told him. "You know of Antolian?" The little blue man asks me. "He is a legend among our people." My uncle tells our advisor.

"He was the Grand Ruler of Astonia for quite some years before becoming the Orange Lantern entity roughly two thousand years ago." I say, and attempt to recall all of my dad's history lessons on Antolian, of which there were a lot of.

"He was an amazing Ruler. He was married to a beautiful woman, who had been the queen of one of our towns beforehand, and they had six children, as most families on Astonia did. Six is a sacred number among our people. He managed to pacify nearly all of our enemies. Except the Red Lanterns, who, of course, couldn't be pacified." I immediately feel guilty as I say that, thinking of Roy.

"And then one day he discovered a strange orange crystal just outside the door of his palace. He assumed it was a gift. It wasn't. It turned him to energy, and his wife contained him in an orange vase that the couple had been given for their wedding day. He felt that he could no longer rule, and appointed his wife Grand Ruler of Astonia." I continue.

My uncle takes over now. "He made her send him off to a distant planet, the name of which was not recorded to history. I assume that it was Okaara. After that, nothing more of Antolian was recorded in Astonian history, though his wife became known as a wise and just Ruler as well." My uncle tells Ganthet. "I see." The blue-skinned advisor mutters.

"Why did you not tell me this when I asked you about your planet's history?" Ganthet asks my uncle. "It... because it's a family legend." My uncle says. "What?" I ask him. "Dad told me that it's in all the history records. What do you mean it's a family legend?"

"Xanilia, your father only told you that because we are the guardians of the secrets of the Orange Lantern Entity, the true Orange Lantern Entity. And we are the guardians because we are Antolian's descendants."

Roy POV

I sit in my cell, tapping my toes and cursing my stupidity for yelling at Alex. And then I remember Mom. "Mom." I whisper, and my ring flares with red light for a brief moment. Either the power of the planet's ring or the power of the Blue Lanterns is diminishing my rings powers, and for that I'm grateful. That stupid ring would nt shut up about revenge and Shard or whatever.

Then I hear muffled cursing and a crash from outside of my cell. "Hey! Who's there? Johnny? Hey! Get me out of here! Hello?" I yell. Whoever it is, they don't hear me. I sit back down and continue drumming my fingers on the stone floor of my cell.

Soon Alex comes back. "Hi Roy." She says, lingering in the doorway of my cell. "Look, Lexis, I'm sorry about earlier." I tell her. "Why did you yell at me like that? You must've known that I would be trying my hardest to get you released." She asks me, sitting down next to me on the floor. "I guess I was just really angry." I sigh. "Probably the ring." She smiles, and I know that my apology has been accepted.

"Look, Roy, I haven't been totally honest with you about who I am. I know that we've known each other since forever, but..." She trails off for a second. "You know all those times I made jokes about being an alien?" She asks me. I nod. "They weren't jokes." She says, and her form melts like clay and takes on a new shape.

I stare at Alex. "Lexis?" I whisper. "My real name is Xanilia." She tells me, rubbing her arm. I hug her. "Wha- Roy, what are you doing?" She asks me. "You're still the same Alex I've always known, no matter what you really look like." I tell her. She smiles up at me and I feel myself leaning down to kiss her.

And then Johnny's voice echoes down the hall. "Alex! It's Alex! He's here! And he blacked out." I feel Alex's form change underneath my hands and she pushes out of my hug. "Come on." She says, and beckons me down the hall. "You got me released?" I ask her. "No!" She yells over her shoulder. I follow her through the cave.

Alex J. POV

The minute I enter the Green Lantern planet's orbit, my ring starts to go haywire. "Hey! What's happening? Help!" I yell out, feeling energy collect in waves around me. "Alex?" I hear Johnny yell. I look down and see Johnny flying towards me, dressed in a costume just like mine, but orange.

"Dude, what-" I start to ask, but then I feel another immense burst of power when a man who looks like an elephant flies out of the cave Johnny had just emerged from. "Help!" I yell, before my world flashes blue, then green, and then finally fades to black.

Johnny POV

Brother Warth and I carry Alex to the portion of the cave that serves as the infirmary and set him down on a mattress on the floor. "Alex! It's Alex! He's here! And he blacked out!" I yell. I hear my voice echo down a dozen different tunnels and pray that she hears me.

Sure enough, Alex and Roy come bounding down one tunnel a few minutes later. Alex seems very worried, but Roy looks extremely pissed and pulls me aside after Alex goes in to check on how Alex is doing.

"Dude! She was about to kiss me! For real kiss me, like without one of your crappy plans." He somehow yells and whispers at the same tinme. "Sorry dude. I didn't know. I'll try to have Alex black out on me at a better moment next time." I tell him sarcastically. He shoves me against the wall. "Roy!" I yell.

His face falls. "I can't be here anymore." He whispers. "What?" I ask him. "First Alex, now you. My emotions are controlling me. I can't let it happen." He says quietly, and starts to walk away, when a large blue hand stops him and the most evil-looking Blue Lantern (though I can't say much as I've only met three aside from this guy) I had ever seen emerged from a tunnel.

"I understand now. I was mad at you at first, for invading my new home. But you are just like I was." He says. "Come. I will teach you to control your power." He says, and his blue hand grips Roy in a fist and drags him along behind him.

"Who's that?" I ask Alex, who had just come out of the infirmary in time to see Roy dragged away. "That's Razer. He used to be a Red Lantern, because he was very angry because his love died. But then he found a new love, Aya. And then she destroyed herself to save the galaxy. He became a Blue Lantern because he still has hope that he will find her alive. Don't try telling him otherwise. He'll knock you into next week." She tells me.

I feel the gears in my brain turning at the speed of the Flash. "So if Roy has enough hope, or willpower, or whatever, he can get out of being a Red Lantern?" I ask her. "If it outweighs his anger, yes." She tells me. Then she seems to recognize the look I have on my face.

"Oh crap. Johnny don't-" "Do anything stupid? I won't." I promise her. She smiles and walks back into the infirmary. "Just something incredibly dangerous." I whisper, and smile down the tunnel Roy had been dragged down.

AN: Yup. I'm la-zy. I could've totally made this longer. Oh well.
