Spring came faster than anything. I had met everybody fully in the household by then, and I also had a "boyfriend".
I poured red wine into a glass cup aside Ciel's dinner plate. He was sitting inside chomping on a piece of fine cut filet mignon.
I smiled at the lonely boy sitting beside me, and acknowledged my presence. He nodded, and I left the work to Sebastian, who I still thought of as an asshole.
Meyrin greeted me as I walked into the polished wooden doors.
"How is the young master?" Finny said in a high voice. He tipped his hat and grinned at me.
"He's ok." I smiled back at Finny, and sat down next to him and Bard. I wiped a speck of dirt off of my aquamarine colored skirt, and retied my boots.
"Well that's good, because Lizzy is coming tonight. She's surprising the young master." Bard clasped his hand and pulled it towards his body. He bit his cigarette tightly in his mouth, inhaling loudly.
"It's her birthday, yes it is." Meyrin beamed her white smile, and squinted through her broken glasses.
"Shouldn't Ciel be doing the surprising?" I sipped a glass of pump water from the garden we sat in.
"Ciel can't do that for his fiancee, he doesn't have the spirit." Finny frowned and quickly recovered.
"What exactly happened that he doesn't have spirit?" I asked as I helped Finny with the garden.
"The fire was so devastating." Bard stated.
"His family perished. Mom. Dad. And dog." Meyrin added.
"He was held in a cage like me. Then, he summoned Sebastian." Finny frowned, and then gently picked a blue violet sprouting from the grass. "You'll make him happy when you wear this."
Meyrin stole the flower and tied it around the string which my hair was combed back with. "You look beautiful, yes you do."
"We just have to make the young master smile!" Ciel walked by the glass door and looked straight at Bard and Finny acting like complete lunatics. Then he spotted me, with the violet in my hair.
I felt my face turning completely red, because I felt special. For all I knew, the young mast- I mean, Ciel, doesn't show emotion. He showed his... well how should I put this... Passionate side.
My brownish-reddish hair didn't match my violet, but Ciel smiled either way.
He walked back down the hallway, chuckling a bit, as Sebastian followed. He stopped right by the door and stared with demonic red eyes.
"Get back to work." He clapped his hands and the other servants backs straightened.
"Why are we scared of him again?" I looked back around at Tanaka, sipping his tea quietly. "Got anything to say, Tanaka?"
"Ho, ho, ho."
