"Alright guys, so does anyone have anything to perform today for Glee?" Mr. Schue asked the Glee club.

"I do… Mr. Schue," Finn said standing. Mr. Schue gestured to the floor and took a seat.

"I… um this is for a girl I really like," Finn mumbled shyly.

"Quinn?" Artie asked.

"No, I found out she was cheating on me with Puck, this is for someone else in this room," Finn said and looked over to Rachel who blushed and looked away. Santana felt her anger ignite in her body and glared at Finn.

She's watching the taxi driver, he pulls away

She's been locked up inside her apartment a hundred days

She says, "Yeah, he's still coming, just a little bit late

He got stuck at the laundry mat washing his cape"

She's just watching the clouds roll by and they spell her name like Lois Lane

And she smiles, oh the way she smiles

Rachel looked at Santana and could see the anger building. She grabbed Santana's hand and squeezed it tightly. Santana looked over to Rachel whom smiled at her with reassurance.

She's talking to angels, counting the stars

Making a wish on a passing car

She's dancing with strangers, falling apart

Waiting for Superman to pick her up

In his arms, In his arms

Waiting for Superman

Finn walked towards Rachel and stood in front of her.

She's out on the corner trying to catch a glimpse

Nothing's making sense

She's been chasing an answer

A sign lost in the abyss, this Metropolis

She says...Yeah, he's still coming, just a little bit late

He got stuck at the Five and Dime saving the day"

She says...If life was a movie, then it wouldn't end like this

Left without a kiss

Still, she smiles, the way she smiles, yeah

She's talking to angels, she's counting the stars

Making a wish on a passing car

She's dancing with strangers, she's falling apart

Waiting for Superman to pick her up

In his arms, In his arms

She's waiting for Superman

To lift her up and take her anywhere

Show her love and climbing through the air

Save her now before it's too late tonight

Oh, like a speeding light

And she smiles

She's talking to angels, she's counting the stars

Making a wish on a passing car

She's dancing with strangers, she's falling apart

Waiting for Superman to pick her up

In his arms, In his arms

She's waiting for Superman

To lift her up and take her anywhere

Show her love and climbing through the air

Save her now before it's too late tonight

She's waiting for Superman

Finn finished the song and looked at Rachel hopefully. Rachel looked away and clapped with everyone else on the performance.

"Great job Finn. Is there anyone else who has a song?" Mr. Schue asked.

"I do," Santana stood. Rachel swallowed nervously and hoped she wouldn't make a scene. Finn sighed and sat down and looked over at Rachel longingly.

"Go ahead Santana," Mr. Schue said. Santana turned and smirked at Rachel.

"This is for my girlfriend Rachel," Santana said, Finn's jaw dropped and looked over at a blushing Rachel who had a small smile. (A/N this is Obadiah Parker's version)

My baby don't mess around

Because she loves me so

And this I know for sure

Rachel smiled brightly at the acoustic version of the song Santana was singing.

But does she really wanna

But can't stand to see me

Walk out the door

I can't stand to fight the feeling

'Cause the thought alone

Is killing me right now

Santana brought her hand up to her chest and Rachel could see the raw emotion that Santana was singing with.

I thank god for mom and dad

For sticking two together

'Cause we don't know how

The music slowed the club could hear the how smooth and raspy Santana voice was.

Hey ya

Hey ya

Hey ya

Hey ya

You think you got it

Oh you think you got it

But got it just don't get it

Till there's nothing at all

We get together

Oh we get together

But separate's always better

When there's feelings involved

If what they say that

"Nothing is forever"

Then what makes, then what makes, then what makes

Love the exception

So why oh why oh why oh why oh why oh

Are we so in denial

When we know we're not happy here

Santana grabbed Rachel's hand and pulled her to her feet while the rest of the club, other than Finn and Mr. Schue sang along with the hey yas.

Hey ya

Hey ya

Hey ya

Hey ya

Hey ya

Hey ya

Hey ya

Hey ya

Artie took over this part while Santana and Rachel danced around the choir room with the others.

Now alright now fellas

Oh what's cooler than being cool

I can't hear ya oh no

And alright alright alright alright

Alright alright alright alright alright

Alright alright

We're gonna break it down in just a few seconds here

Don't make me break it down for nothing

I wanna se ya all on your alls baddest behavior

All the rest of the club rejoined in the song.

Santana and Rachel took over this part and Mr. Schue could hear how perfect their voices melded together.

And hey ya

Hey ya

Whoah no hey ya

Hey ya

Whoah no hey ya

Hey ya

Hey ya

Hey ya

They finished staring at one another and their fingers interlaced.

"That was absolutely amazing Santana… I think you two should take the duet for sectionals," Mr. Schue said clapping.

"But Mr. Schue that's supposed to be a duet with me and Rachel!" Finn yelled.

"Rachel and I," Santana said. He looked at her confused.

"What?" Finn asked.

"It's Rachel and I you blubbery idiot," Santana said again.

"Finn, their voices match much better together and they have really great chemistry," Mr. Schue told him.

"But you can't have them perform something in front of everybody! What would they think about two girls singing a song together?" Finn asked.

"Maybe that they're in love," Santana said with a shrug.

"But that will put us at a disadvantage, people aren't fond of homosexuals Santana," Finn growled.

"Not everyone is as close minded as you Finn have you even thought about our feelings on this or anyone else's in this room?" Santana snapped at him. The room went silent for a while before Mr. Schue broke it.

"Alright guys break it up. Their doing the duet, end of story Finn now disperse," Mr. Schue said.

"Rachel look I like you and I was hoping you would give me a chance," Finn said ignoring Mr. Schue. Mr. Schue sighed and walked out of the room.

"I'm sorry Finn, but I'm with Santana," Rachel replied. Santana cocked an eyebrow at him and waited for his response.

"Are… are you sure you want to be with her? She's not the nicest person," Finn said to her stepping closer.

"Did you not just hear the song that, that girl just sang for Rachel? I don't know what you classify as nice Finn Hudson, but that was probably the sweetest thing I've ever witnessed," Mercedes piped in. Finn let out frustrated breath.

"Look Finn, know I wasn't the greatest person last year to anyone in this room, but I'm different now. I have a lot more respect, I really do love singing and dancing and I do love Rachel," Santana said. She knew Finn wasn't a bad guy, he just didn't know what life is really like.

"Fine, okay I apologize," Finn replied before he walked out of the room. Everyone else filed out slowly.

"Um, Santana may I talk to you privately?" Kurt asked before Rachel and Santana walked out. Santana looked at him before looking back at Rachel.

"Yeah sure Kurt," Santana said to him before she turned to Rachel, "I'll meet you out in the hall?" Santana asked. Rachel nodded before placing a small peck on Santana's lips and walking out.

"What's up?" Santana asked.

"Um… how, how are you so confident in being… gay," Kurt asked nervously. Santana chuckled and shook her head.

"I'm not confident in being gay Kurt, I'm confident in myself as a person. You should try it and if anyone messes with you come find me," Santana said and started to leave.

"Can I be honest with you?" Kurt asked, Santana turns and looks at him.

"Of course," Santana answered.

"I'm… I'm gay also," Kurt breathed out. Santana smiled and walked towards to him.

"I know Kurt," Santana said.

"Oh," Kurt muttered.

"Kurt you don't have to be ashamed," Santana said softly.

"I just… I don't know what my dad would do… or react," Kurt choked.

"He'll be fine," Santana said bringing him into a hug.

"How do you know?" Kurt questioned hugging Santana tightly.

"I just do, trust me," Santana replied before pulling away. She gave Kurt a smile before walking out.

"Was everything okay?" Rachel asked grabbing Santana's hand and interlacing their fingers. Santana smiled and leaned over giving Rachel a kiss to her temple and pulling her more towards her body so she could wrap her arm around Rachel's waist.

"Everything was perfect."
