Kacey's POV

I see Grace and Molly come up to Gravity 5's table, along with Stevie following them shortly.

"Hey guys!" Grace waves.

"Hey Molly. Finally wearing something besides a skirt?" I ask her.

"It's actually Skylar." she says with a smile. And then I remember that Molly has a twin. Why didn't I think of this sooner? Molly's twin always did live in New York!

"Oh. Hi Sky." I say awkwardly.

"Who's Skylar?" Kevin asks eyeing Skylar with an unreadable look in his eyes, and then he goes back to playing Furious Pigeons.

"Molly's twin." Grace says.

"Oh... Well, since you're technically not a Perf, hi." Kevin says and sticks his hand out.

"Nice to meet you..." Skylar says and trails off not knowing his name.

"Reed. Kevin Reed, and I must say, you look lovely." he says taking her hand and putting it close to his lips—

"NOO!" I yell and I impulsively slap Kevin on the cheek.

"Ow! What was that for Kacey?" he asks holding his cheek wincing in pain.

"I just... Umm... Look! The food!" I say noticing the food coming to our table.

"It was nice meeting you Kevin." Skylar says with a smile on her lips.

"You too sweet cheeks." he says and grins cockily in her direction.

I try not to roll my eyes, but I can't help it. I cannot be having a crush on Kevin. I mean... Seriously? I'm a former lead Perf, and he's... Kevin. Kevin, the second-in-command nerd. He slingshots himself from class to the courtyard. What is wrong with me?

HOW CAN I HAVE A CRUSH ON HIM!?

This isn't happening. This isn't happening! Why out of all people, I have a crush on KEVIN?

I could tell Stevie about this, but she'd probably say 'I told you so!' I'd talk to Nelson about this, but he's a guy. And Skylar... Does she like him back?

SHE BETTER NOT LIKE HIM BACK!

Okay Kacey, deep breath.

I look over to Stevie, and she's currently sporting a smirk on her face. I glare at Stevie, but she just chuckles as she eats her food.

I just roll my eyes, stand up, and before I know it, I'm dragging Stevie into the restroom.

"What the heck man? I was eating my food! My food!" she complains.

Why did I even do this? Why am I so impulsive? I really need to think stuff out before I actually attempt it.

"Umm... Uh..."

"Forget this. I'm going back to my paradise." Stevie says as she attempts to get out.

"I like Kevin." I blurt. Oh glob. What did I just say? I'm so stupid for doing that! Why can't I use my brain!?

Stevie stops in her tracks, and then slowly turns to face me with her arms crossed and an obvious smirk on her face.

"It was kind of obvious." she says.

"Oh please. The crush started happening like, a few minutes ago."

"Oh please. You've liked him for months now. You just realized that you like him." she smirks.

"If anyone asks about this, this never happened."

"What never happened?" she asks in an innocent tone.

"Good girl. Now let's go."

"Yeah, yeah lady. I need to go back to food heaven." she says as we go out the door and back to the table.
