Chapter 4

"Did you hear that?" Hinata asks as she turns towards the direction of the sound.

"Damn it!" Naruto curses as he jumps out of the water and back into the darkness of the trees. 'Again with this stupid freaking stream!'

"Yeah I heard it; it sounded like something fell into the water." Sakura says in a low voice.

"I'll check it out." Hinata says in a whisper.

'Shit!' Naruto cusses as he jumps even further into the darkness of the forest.

"Byaku-AAHHHH!"Hinata is interrupted by a shriek when something quickly brushes by her legs and scares her.

"What the hell was that?!" Sakura yells as she instinctively pulls out a kunai.

"I don't know, but let hurry up and get to your house, I feel like something is up." Hinata says in a quick whisper as she quickly turns back in the direction they were originally on.

Sasuke & Naruto

'Thanks Sasuke!' Naruto says to himself as he lets out the breath he had been holding. Naruto finds Sasuke shortly after the girls reach the end of the park.

"What the hell was that?" Sasuke snaps as they leap past the unknowing girls.

"I slipped when I heard what Sakura said." Naruto says, his cheeks burning crimson with embarrassment.

"Whatever, come on lets go." Sasuke sighs as they wait for the girls to continue further down the road.

Sakura & Hinata

"Kami I can't wait to take a shower after today." Sakura sighs as they approach the town.

"Same here, I want to take a shower and just plop down on a nice soft bed." Hinata smiles as she quickly pulls her hair up into a sloppy bun with a few strands gently curling down on her creamy shoulders.

"Naruto is the most oblivious guy I know." Sakura says in a serious tone.

"I know." Hinata sighs, her eyes are hidden in the shadow of her looming bangs.

Sasuke & Naruto

"What are they talking about?" Naruto asks as they come to a quick halt on the roof of a nearby building.

"Shhhh!" Sasuke seethes through his clenched teeth.

Sakura & Hinata

"I mean you're one of the strongest, smartest, and prettiest girls the whole Fire Country." Sakura says almost like she's cursing Naruto's name to the heavens,

"No, I'm not and we all know that title belongs to you Sakura!" Hinata says quickly.

"Hinata don't give me that crap!" Sakura snaps, turning her head sharply to face the shy girl.

"Sakura…please, I don't want to talk about Naruto right now." Hinata whispers as they pass a tea and herb shop that has closed up for the night.

"Fine." She sighs as she tucks a few strands of pink hair behind her ear. They're only a couple buildings away from Sakura's house.

"Think we should go now?" Naruto asks his brother after they jump a few buildings ahead of the girls.

Sasuke simply nods his head and they jump into the alley next to a small local tavern. "Let's go."

They walk out into the shadows of the street and starting small conversation on how their training is going,

"Yeah, Kakashi says that it's one of the only jutsu that was actually his originally." Sasuke says as they walk closer to the girls.

"Well I've finally perfected my aim of the Rasen-shuriken" Naruto smiles as they walk under a street light.

"Naruto, Sasuke, is that you?" Sakura states in a loud voice of shock as Hinata quickly covers her mouth with her now shaking hands.

"W-What are you two doing here?!" Hinata stutters out, 'Damn, I'm stuttering again!'

"Huh? Oh hey ladies, we're on our way to a meet up with some friends." Naruto says with a foxy smirk that makes both Hinata and Sakura clench their legs together with a warm feeling creeping through their lower regions.

"Oh really and which friend would that be?" Hinata asks as she tries to regain her composure.

They are now standing right in front of Sakura's house.

"Kiba." Naruto laughs lightly.

"That's strange I thought Kiba-kun was on a mission for a couple more days." Hinata says with a small smile at catching Naruto in a fib.

"Naruto, you're going to lose this one." Sasuke sighs as he runs his hand through his hair.

"You're tellin' me." Naruto huffs, "Damn I hate arguing with women."

"What are you guys doing here?" Sakura asks as she glances at Sasuke.

"He told you what we're doing." Sasuke informs them with a poker face that could rival the Hokage stone mural.

"Then whose house are you going to?" She says with a hint of attitude in her voice.

"If you really must know we're on our way to the Nara Clan's house." He replies in a cocky voice.

"Why are you going over there?" she asks.

"Why does it matter?" Sasuke sighs knowing that she's just seeing how much she can get away with; sadly she gets away with a lot of things when it comes to messing with him.

"It doesn't." Sakura says with a smile of achievement.

"Is this your stop, if not we could walk you the rest of the way?' Naruto asks.

"This is my house right here." Sakura says as she unlocks the dim lit two-story house.

"Okay well we'll be going now." Sasuke says as both of them smile at the girls.

"Oh okay." Sakura says softly.

"Goodnight, see you tomorrow." Naruto says as him and Sasuke smile and wave as they walk away.

"That was strange wasn't it?" Hinata smiles as Sakura shuts the door behind them. "Yeah it was." Sakura agrees as she leans against the wall and takes off her shoes, then they both head to the kitchen.

Sasuke & Naruto

Outside Naruto and Sasuke are passing back by the house again.

"Should we go home or spy on them?" Sasuke asks as he glances at the house again.

"Spy is such a crude word, I'd like to call it observe." Naruto smirks as they stop on the side of the house.

"Works for me, let's go" Sasuke smirks as he holds in a hint of a laugh.

They jump to the roof and climb down to a balcony in the back that over looks another secluded section of the park. They notice that it leads to a light lime green bathroom with small cherry blossoms petals painted in wind spiral pattern around the bathtub. There is also a small short white vase with fresh cut cherry blossoms in it. Then Sasuke notices that both the balcony doors have been left open.

"Who has a balcony to their bathroom and then they leave it unlocked?" Sasuke asks as he pushes the door open even further with a simple push of the finger.

"Umm, Sasuke we both have balconies in our bedrooms?" Naruto says as he looks at Sasuke out of the corner of his eyes.

"We at least lock ours and she's a girl on top of all that!" Sasuke points out. "Someone could easily break in."

They jump over to the next window and hide in the shadows of the new night. Sasuke is sitting on the small awning cover over the double doors and Naruto is sitting, on his haunches, on the side rail.

"I think this is her room." Sasuke says as he leans forward a bit.

"What gives you that idea?" Naruto asks as he glances up at Sasuke and then back into the green room.

"Cause it smells like her." Sasuke says with a serious face as he peers into the room. Naruto's eyes shoot up to stare at Sasuke with his, 'You are joking right?' face.

"What?" Sasuke asks then shakes his head and shrugs his shoulders.

"Dude really?" Naruto says as he shakes his head and looks back into the room.

"I call first on shower!" Hinata sequels as they walk into the room.

"Just don't take all the hot water, I hate taking cold showers." Sakura says as she throws her bag off her shoulder and onto the end of her bed.

"You can always have Sasuke come and warm up your water." Hinata giggles as she takes her hair down from its disheveled, yet adorable, bun and begins to brush it out.

"Forget the water, how about he just warms me up instead." Sakura smiles as she lies back on her bed and hugs her pillow tightly.

Sasuke is now the one burning bright red as he continues leaning over the edge of the awning. Naruto is trying his best not to bust out laughing; he has his hand clamped over his mouth and small tears rolling down his checks.

"Go ahead and heat her up Sasuke." Naruto snickers out, his blue eyes gleaming with amusement.

"Baka, just wait till we get home." Sasuke seethes at his brother's teasing.

"Kami I wish they could have came in and spent some time with us." Sakura sighs as she closes her eyes.

"I wish they were here right now." Hinata says as she walks out of the bathroom.

Naruto is in a spot that he can see directly into the room, but he is perfectly hidden in the shadows. He looks back into the room to see Hinata walk into Sakura's room with no shirt on. His jaw drops when he sees a sunshine yellow lacy bra; it has a small yellow ribbon in the middle of her smooth creamy breast. As he continues to look closer he notices that it is partially see through. He is lost in his own little fantasy world until Sakura begins to talk.

"Hinata I'm so jealous of your body." Sakura says as she sits up.

"Why are you jealous?" Hinata stops undoing her pants as she looks up at Sakura.

"You have the perfect body, nice boobs, an ass, a beautiful flawless face, and an hour glass figure." Sakura sighs as she gets up and walks towards the balcony.

"Shit!" Naruto whispers, as he falls back to hang on the lower part of the balcony, Sasuke also moves back up to the roof to not be seen.

"I can't wait for Sasuke's birthday!" Sakura squeals as she does a small twirl in the midnight air, "Can you believe he's turning 18, it seems like just yesterday that we were all 7 and 8 years old, we've all been friends for so long but I still don't feel any closer to Sasuke."

"Hey, he is Naruto's brother so they have to share something." Hinata chuckles as she kicks off her lavender pants, revealing matching yellow underwear.

"What do you mean?" Sakura asks as she turns around and walks back inside.

"Sasuke's practically as oblivious as Naruto when it comes to girls." Hinata says as she turns on the shower.

"You think he doesn't know that all the girls in his fan club love him, I mean come on no guy is that bad." Sakura laughs.

"But does he know which ones actually love him for the real him and not just his looks?" Hinata asks with a smile as she pokes her head out of the doorway.

"True." Sakura laughs at Hinata's smile, "But have you ever wondered why Sasuke shares no resemblance to any one in his family?"

"It's crossed everyone's mind at least once, especially after meeting their parents." Hinata sighs, "It doesn't matter though; he's still the same old Sasuke to us."

"I just wish I had that bond with him," Sakura says over the water, "to be able to open up to each other, you know, talk about each other's past, and to be each other's best friend, to share a bond that no one else can have with him."

"I know exactly what you mean." Hinata says as she drops her towel and steps into the shower.

Sakura walks into the bathroom and sits down on the counter. Naruto and Sasuke quietly move to the other balcony, they're so intrigued by the girls' conversation that they can't leave.

"But Naruto could like you someday." Sakura says as she twirls some of her hair around her finger.

"Ha." Hinata laughs sarcastically at Sakura's words.

"But I don't see Sasuke ever liking me." She sighs, pulling her knees to her chest. "We were on the same team for years, but I still feel so inferior to him. I know hardly anything about him now and he's been so distant since he's come back from that three year long mission. I feel like he might not even be the same Sasuke I fell in love with."

Hinata pokes her head out the shower, her long wet hair dripping water down her smooth curves.

'Sakura...' Sasuke thinks to himself softly as he feels a pang of guilt hit him for making his ex-teammate feel so worthless because of his action.

"It'll be okay Sakura." Hinata says as she steps out of the shower, walks over to Sakura, causing water to get every where, and then she gives Sakura a big hug.

The boys hold their breath as they watch the girls embrace in the bathroom. Then they both quickly turn their heads away from the scene right in front of them.

"We shouldn't be watching them." Naruto sighs as he tries to calm himself down and regain his composure.

"Let's go." Sasuke agrees softly.

They jump down, leaving the girls to themselves, and continue on down the street.

"Let's go to Shikamaru's place." Naruto says trying to change the mood that has overcome them both.

A few minutes later they arrive at Shikamaru's house and see Shikamaru and his dad, sitting in the open room near the garden, and as expected they are playing Shogi.

"Hey Shikamaru!" Naruto shouts as him and Sasuke jump the side fence.

"Naruto, Sasuke, to what do we owe this visit?" Shikamaru sighs as he takes one of Shikaku's pieces.

"We're just walking around town." Sasuke says as he scratches the back of his head.

"You two are avoiding your mother aren't you?" Shikaku asks with his usual smirk.

"Haha! No, not this time." Naruto laughs sarcastically.

"You two got in trouble didn't you?" Shikaku sighs.

"Nope, just walking around and thought we'd say hello." Sasuke smiles at the comment.

"Just walking around town, sounds nice, but I'd still rather be watching cloud outside of town." Shikamaru sighs as he continues to play.

"Well we'll leave you guys to your game." Sasuke says as he turns to walk away.

Outskirts of Namikaze property

They keep walking back home until they reach a large garden, hidden in the woods a couple minutes away from their house.

"I wish-" Naruto starts as he sits down on the cool grass.

"You're starting to sound like the girls." Sasuke cuts in as he lies down next to some wild orchids and lilies.

Sasuke blows his bangs out of his face.

"Sometimes I think things would be easier if they were just spelled out for us." Naruto sighs as he picks out one of the lilies in the bunch and plucks it gently.

"Now you sound like Neji." Sasuke smirks.

"I know it's starting to scare the fuck out of me." Naruto laughs as he brings the flower to his face.

"We have to remember to go get the girls for training tomorrow morning." Sasuke says as he finds a bunch of pink roses and he picks one that already has dew drops already forming on it.

"Let's go home." Naruto says as he gets up with out crushing or bending the flower in his hand.

"Yeah, I could use a shower." Sasuke sighs as he stands up next to Naruto.

"You and me both bro." Naruto says as they begin their walk back home.

There we go! Fixing up some little mistakes and things that I felt needed changing. I'm fixing up these couple of chapters than I promise that I'll be posting some brand new chapters to this story. I need to finish this bad boy once and for all!
