Chapter 5

Thirty minutes later Naruto and Sasuke are back home and in their individual rooms finally getting ready for bed and the upcoming day.

"Damn." Naruto says softly as he leans forward on the railing of his balcony; his hair still wet from his shower. He gazes up and stares at the star filled sky.

"Sakura," Sasuke sighs as he falls back on to his large bed, "how have you put up with me for this long?"

Sakura's House

"What the – how did this get here?" Sakura says as she walks back into her room.

"How did what get where?" Hinata asks from the bathroom. "There's a rose on my pillow." She smiles as she gently picks up the flower. "It still has dew drops on it so it's fresh."

She takes a deep breath to take in the scent of the rose; she lets out a breath with a smile on her face.

"Oh wow, it's beautiful!" Hinata says as she walks up to Sakura.

"I can feel some traces of chakra on it, but I can't tell whose." Sakura sighs.

"Haha; Seems they knew it would bug you." Hinata giggles as she pulls on an over-sized orange shirt.

"There's another flower." Sakura says in a low whisper.

Hinata looks at her pile of clothes in the lounge chair and sees a crisp white lily lying right on top of the pile.

"Oh my Kami," Sakura says in a flustered voice, "Who put these here?"

Hinata giggles at her friend's little freak out as she smells the lily.

"I have absolutely no clue." Hinata simply says as she sits next to Sakura on her queen sized bed.

"They had to be shinobi or else we would have caught them." Sakura says while putting her flower on the table next to her bed.

"Sakura, go to sleep before you give yourself a headache." Hinata says with a smile as she places the lily on the other bedside table.

"Ha, alright than, goodnight Hinata." Sakura smiles as she turns off the light.

"Night." Hinata smiles then she pull the covers up over her shoulders.

The Next Morning

Sakura wakes up around 10 o'clock; she rolls over to see Hinata still asleep with the covers pulled over her head. Her hair is the only thing visible and it's fanned out in wavy curls over her pillow.

"Hinata, come on its almost 10 o'clock; we need to get up." Sakura says as she moves the covers off of Hinata.

Hinata squeezes her eyes even tighter shut as the sun shines right in her eyes. Her hair is away from her face and hugs her pillow gently as she tries to get some more sleep and return to her dreams.

"Ahh too bright!" Hinata groans as she snatches the covers back out of Sakura's hand.

"Hinata you have no idea how ironic it is that your name means sunny, but yet you are one of the worst morning people that I know." Sakura says with a smile at her friends attempts to cover back up and go back to sleep.

"Ten more minutes." Hinata says from under the covers. Sakura just shakes her head and gets up from the bed. Suddenly the covers are torn completely from the bed.

"Get up we have to meet the boys early." Sakura says as she walks into the bathroom.

"Sakura, listen to what you just said." Hinata smirks as she rolls over in the bed. "If we have to meet them early than don't you think they would have already came and got us earlier if we weren't there."

Sakura stops and thinks about it, "It still doesn't mean that we should sleep in, maybe they're waiting for us at their house."

"They said that they'd come pick us up, which means one of two things." Hinata smiles as she finally sits up and her hair falls and frames her face.

"And those reasons would be?" Sakura asks from the bathroom as she brushes her teeth.

"They miraculously forgot where you lived over night or they're still asleep at their house." Hinata states as she stretches her body.

Sakura smacked her forehead playfully as she realizes the obvious, they're still asleep. She's been on hundreds of missions with the both of them she should know that Kakashi would occasionally have to wake the boys from their sleep.

"Let's have some faith in the boys, Hinata." Sakura says trying to convince herself as she got ready.

"Bet you two dango sticks that their still asleep." Hinata dares Sakura.

"You're on!" Sakura smirks as she shakes Hinata's hand.

"Looks like we're gonna have to go and wake them up." Hinata says as she pulls on some black cut off shorts that come to just below her butt and a tight orange and white tank top that comes just below her navel.

"What's up with all the orange?" Sakura asks with an eyebrow cocked as she walks out of the bathroom with her usual shorts and a dark red halter top on.

"What am I not allowed to wear orange because Naruto also wears orange?" Hinata says in defense as she begins to put on her large jacket that she always wears.

"Hinata!" Sakura shouts when she sees what Hinata's doing.

"What?" Hinata jumps at Sakura's sudden outburst.

"We are not 13 years old and you have a great figure; don't you dare put that jacket on!" Sakura says as she grabs Hinata's jacket and begins taking it off of her. "It's time to show people what you've been hiding all this time."

"Sakura I'd rather not." Hinata blushes, "People will stare."

"Only because they didn't know you had a sexy body under that heap of a jacket." Sakura smiles as she discards the jacket back onto the bed.

"But Sakura-"Hinata is cut off by Sakura pressing her finger to her lips.

"We're going with out the jacket, now hurry up and finish getting ready." Sakura smiles as she tosses Hinata's ninja pouch to her.

Hinata wraps the pouch to her leg securely then she wraps some bandages around her other exposed thigh just to even out her wraps.

"Can we get some cinnamon rolls on the way?" Hinata asks with a smile as she ties her hair up in a neat loose bun with a white ribbon as they head downstairs. Hinata also manages to pin her lily on the left side of her bun.

"Sure why not." Sakura chuckles at her hungry friend as they exit the house.

"Sakura, where are you off to?" Sakura's mom, Rin, asks from the open kitchen window.

"We're going to train with Sasuke and Naruto." Sakura replies.

"Okay, have fun and be safe, you too Hinata!" Rin says with a smile on as she waters the plants in the window sill.

"Will do Ms. Haruno." Hinata smiles and waves at the friendly woman in the window.

Boys' House [Up Stairs]

Naruto is breathing slowly as he continues to sleep with a pillow over his head.

Sasuke has his face pressed deep into a pillow as he continues to sleep soundly.

Boys' House [Down Stairs]

"Well good morning you two." Kushina smiles as she greets the girls at the door.

"Good morning Kushina-sama." They say as they bow.

"Come on in." Kushina ushers them inside the house. "Thank you." They both smile.

"So I'm guessing that the boys are still asleep?" Hinata asks with a smile as she looks at Kushina.

"Yeah, they haven't even gotten up to go to the bathroom yet." Kushina sighs as she thinks about the morning people that her sons aren't.

Hinata leans over to Sakura, "I told you,should've bet more dango" She whispers into Sakura's ear.

"What was that Hinata?" Kushina asks when she sees Hinata whisper something to Sakura.

"Oh I was thinking we should ask you if you wanted us to wake the boys up for you." Hinata says with a smile as she comes up with a perfect cover up. Sakura shots a quick glance at Hinata.

"Oh that would be wonderful, their rooms are upstairs." Kushina smiles and points to the stair case visible in the main entrance. Hinata and Sakura stand up and head towards the stair case.

"Wow, this place is huge." Hinata says breathlessly as they reach the second floor.

"I think their house might be bigger than the Hyuuga estates." Hinata smiles as they slowly walk down the hall.

They continue to walk down the hall until the pass a room that has the door open. Hinata stops and peers into the room. Sakura sees that she has stopped and goes back to see what she is looking at.

"What is it Hinata?" Sakura asks as she looks through the doorway to see a large Koto sitting in the corner of the smaller room.

"It's beautiful." Hinata says softly as she walks into the room and towards the instrument. "My mother had a Koto that looked just like this, but I never saw it after she passed away."

"I wonder who plays it." Sakura says as she watches Hinata run her fingers tips along the smooth strings. "Come on Hinata, we have to get the boys."

"I know, hey do you think that Kushina-sama plays it?" Hinata asks as she follows Sakura out of the room.

"Ha, I doubt she even has time to do such activities and I seriously doubt the boys even listen to traditional music like that" Sakura points out as they begin walking down the hall again.

"Maybe they have an iPod, I mean I listen to mine sometimes when I workout." Hinata says as she thinks of Naruto playing an instrument.

"I don't know, why don't we ask them when we wake them up." Sakura sighs as she looks at a closed door on the right side of the hall way. "Do you think this is one of their rooms?"

Hinata simply shrugs her shoulders and tilts her head to the side for response.

"There's only one way to find out." Sakura says as she slowly opens the door.

When the door is half way open they peer into the dark room. Sakura walks in cautiously looking around for clues as to whose room they are in. Then Sakura spots a pile of clothes on the floor in front of a book case. She walks up to it and picks up a shirt, she examines the shirt in the dim light then she brings it to her face. She smells the shirt unsure of what to expect.

"This is Sasuke's room." She says immediately after smelling the discarded shirt.

"And you got that from smelling some dirty clothes that have been sitting there for Kami knows how long?" Hinata says as she looks at her friend strangely. "Okay, I guess that's normal."

"Shut up." Sakura huffs as she throws the shirt back into the pile. She is about to say something about Hinata's obsession with Naruto but Hinata starts talking before gets the chance.

"There he is." Hinata says softly as she points to a king sized bed across the room.

There is a small sliver of light coming in through the closed curtains; the figure in the bed is stretched out on his back. They walk closer to the bed and see Sasuke half covered by his black covers. Sakura steps even closer and sees that he has his covers almost covering his face.

"He sleeps just like you Hinata." Sakura snickers only to have a pair of Sasuke's boxers thrown at her. "Jeez, I was kidding!"

"Shut up and wake him up, we still have to find Naruto's room and wake him up." Hinata says as she pushes Sakura towards the bed.

"Sasuke, it's time to get up." Sakura says softly as she leans over near the bed. She waits a few seconds for him to reply but he doesn't. "Sasuke, you awake?"

"Try shaking him." Hinata suggests as she steps up on the other side of the bed.

"Nani, are you mad!" Sakura says in a harsh voice, yet she turns back to Sasuke and lists her options. "Damn it."

Sakura reaches her hand out slowly and grabs the covers that are covering his head and pull them down, "Sasuke!"

"Mmmm-nani?" Sasuke groans as he squeezes his eyes shut.

"Time to get up." Sakura smiles as she sits on the bed next to him, Hinata stand patiently on the other side of the bed.

"Sakura," Sasuke asks a bit surprised to see the pink haired girl sitting on his bed, "what are you doing here in my room?"

"We're here to wake you up since you and Naruto forgot about our training and slept in until 10:30." Sakura says with a smirk as her eyes gaze down at Sasuke's shoulders and some of his bare chest.

"Damn, is that really what time it is?" Sasuke asks as leans forward and props himself up on his elbows, causing his covers to fall and allow the girls a full view of his toned chest.

"Aren't you cold?" Hinata asks as she glances back and forth between Sakura and Sasuke.

"Why would I be cold?" Sasuke asks as he opens his eyes a little more.

"I mean you don't have a shirt on and it's pretty cold in here." Hinata points out with her eye brow cocked upward.

"I don't have pants on either, but I'm naturally warm; so no I'm not cold." Sasuke says when he begins to sit up all the way. He finally sits all the way up and stretches his toned arms above his head. His muscles quiver slightly as he stretches the sleep out of his muscles.

Sakura and Hinata try their best not to stare, but they both can't help themselves from stealing glances.

"Nani?" they shout when they realize exactly what he just said.

"Relax; I have boxers on, Kami." Sasuke sighs as he rolls his eyes at the girls' reaction. "I'm awake now, happy?"

"Yes actually." Sakura says as she smiles as Sasuke.

"Great." He smiles back at her, "Now have fun waking Naruto up."

"What do you mean have fun waking him up?" Hinata asks with a quizzical expression on her face.

"You'll find out in due time." Sasuke nods at her, "Now if you girls don't mind, I'd prefer to get dress alone."

The girls quickly get up and escort themselves out. They continue down the hall after shutting Sasuke's door and they soon come to another closed door. Hinata gently raps on the door.

"Sasuke or Kakashi always woke Naruto up when we went on missions so I have no idea what to expect." Sakura says as she stands a little behind Hinata as she cracks the door open.

"I think I heard something." Hinata says with curiosity brimming. She peeks inside and finds her vision limited by the darkness of his room.

"Naruto you in here?" Hinata calls softly.

She is answered by silence, she opens the door more for her and Sakura to walk in and to let the hall way light make a beam into the room.

"Does he not have any windows in his room?" Sakura asks in a hushed voice.

Hinata simply shrugs her shoulders.

"Try to find a light switch." Hinata says running her fingers down the wall next to his door.

"No wonder he's still asleep, he probably doesn't even know that the sun is up." Sakura says stepping slowly into the shadows. "Hinata just use your Byakugan and find him."

"I already tried, but it won't work for some reason." Hinata sighs is frustration, she begins listening to try and hear slumbered breathing.

"OUCH!" Sakura screams when she trips on something in the dark.

"You alright?" Hinata asks as she looks in the direction of Sakura's voice.

"Yeah, I tripped on what I think are weights," Sakura sighs as she rubs her now sore foot. "That hurt…a lot."

"Fwwp-hehe...sorry." Hinata tries her best to hold in her laughter, but fails at doing so.

"Teme." Sakura seethes.

Hinata gently bumps into something causing the light from his stereo to turn on. A bright blue light instantly illuminates the room. Hinata looks at the screen to see that the stereo has no CD's in it.

"Well at least we have some light now." Hinata snickers again as she thinks of Sakura tripping in the dark.

"Shut up." Sakura snaps at her giggling friend and then she goes back to looking at some bookshelves in the dim lighting.

"Where the heck is he?" Hinata huffs as she looks around the room and see's no bed.

"He has a lot of scrolls about different justus and fighting styles." Sakura says as she pulls a large ancient scroll off the shelf in front of her.

"I wonder if he's read all of them." Hinata says softly as her eyes drift over to the wall covered with hundreds of scrolls.

"Yeah," Sakura says to herself. "Wow, this scroll is almost 100 years old!"

"Ha! Found it!" Hinata cheers.

"Found what?" Sakura asks as she begins reading the large medical scroll.

Then the lights flick on and Sakura looks at Hinata to see her standing by one of the shelves with her hand on her hip and a smirk on her face.

"Sweet room." Sakura smiles as she looks up and sees a balcony on the second floor of the room.

"It's still dark up there, maybe he's up there." Hinata says as she walks closer to the balcony.

Hinata leaps up and lands gracefully on the wooden banister. She stands up tall with her feet together. Her pearly eyes glisten and shining through the darkness.

"Found him." Hinata smiles as leaps to the floor in the low lit room.

"Call me if you need my help?" Sakura says loud enough for Hinata to hear her then she continues to read deeper into the scroll.

Hinata walks up to the huge king sized bed that is sitting where the light begins to fade into the dim shadows of the darkness.

"Naruto." Hinata says sounding almost out of breath as she sees his sleeping figure on the right side of the over sized bed.
