A lone figure lay on the featureless white ground, unmoving. The space was completely silent, for the exception of the Minecraftian's faint breathing. After a few moments, the figure moved slightly, as they finally came to their senses. Little did they know that yet another was watching nearby, waiting for the other to get up. The Minecraftian managed to get up onto their knees, and wearily observed the bright terrain around them. Where...?

The previously unconcious Minecraftian was now easily recognized as a very exhausted CaptainSparklez, judging from his expression. Before he could ponder further on where he was, the sound of footsteps came from behind, He shifted to face the origin of the sound, and his face paled in color as he did so. Before him stood himself, only his eyes were a pure white. Although it took some effort, the Captain was able to snap out of the daze he was in. "Why are you here?"

"You know exactly why, yet you're pretending that you don't."

Sparklez attempted to slink away from the other, but was noticed before he could. His duplicate only smirked. "There's nowhere to run here. Isn't that obvious just from looking at your surroundings?"

The Captain fell silent, refusing to speak to the other Minecraftian. He fiercely glared at him, pure hatred evident in his eyes. Suddenly, he burst, "Why don't you just leave me alone! You're the reason why I killed all of those innocent people!"

At this point, he was shaking in anger; his thoughts clouded by said anger, as well. Sparklez rose to his feet, immediately unsheathing his diamond sword, then rushed at the false Captain. "Just die already!"

The Minecraftian swiftly avoided the downward slash, before blasting Sparklez backwards with an unseen force. "No matter how hard you try to, you can't kill me. Even you know that."

Two shadowy blades formed in his hands, just as Sparklez was beginning to rise to his feet once again. "But if it's a fight you want, I'll give you it. Just don't count on being victorious."

Sparklez wore an expression of confident determination. "I'm not afraid of you anymore, Sparkz," he said as he brought his sword up in front of him,"Bring it on."

The other Minecraftian, now idenified as Sparkz, only gave a slight nod, then seemingly vanished before appearing behind the other. Sparklez turned around just in time to block Sparkz's attack, then proceeded to counterattack with a series of strikes, in an attempt to knock the other back. The duplicate merely evaded the fierce swipes, then flipped over the other, and preformed a strong blow to Sparklez with a kick, which effectively knocked him over. As the Captain was getting back up, Sparkz cut him across the back, causing the Minecraftian to cringe in pain. "Is that all you've got?," the corrupted one of the two taunted.

Before Sparkz could react, a burst of electricity hit him directly in the torso, sending the Minecraftian flying backwards. However, he managed to land on his feet, in a similar fashion to an ocelot, as he was about to hit the ground. Almost immediately after he had gotten up, Sparklez slammed him back into the ground with yet another blast of electricity. Afterwards, the Minecraftian readied his sword for a slash to the other Captain's back, but before he could do so, Sparkz appeared to teleport behind him, in a strange, ghost-like form, and the dark spirit possessed the Minecraftian. Sparklez's head was thorown back, eyes wide, as if he was being choked in some way. Finally, he fell forward again, eyes shut. The look on his face was blank as he opened his now glowing white eyes. Sparkz had gained control once again, like he had in the past. But before he could return from wherever this place was in his conciousness, he was brought back by something else, which in turn, caused Sparkz to lose his grip on Sparklez's mentality. The landscape around them faded away into darkness, before suddenly being being flooded in light like before. Just to make sure that he was back in the Overworld, the Captain observed the area around him wearily, trying to find anything recognizable. One thing that assured him was that Sparkz's presense seemed to have faded, a good sign that he was currently in the Overworld, or, at the least, in the Aether. Sparklez sat up on the bed he had been laying on, unsure as to how he had gotten there in the first place. Soft footsteps passed by outside in the hallway, stopped, then backtracked to just outside of the door. The wooden door opened with a small creak, and the first thing he had noticed was Rain's troubled face.

The young girl didn't seem to spot him at first, as it took her a few seconds for her to see him. But when she actually noticed that he was awake, Rain ran over and hugged him. She had only been travelling with the older Minecraftian for only about three days or so, but he had already gained her trust without even knowing it. She looked up at him, eyes shining brightly. "Ms. Saige said that there was next to no chance of you surviving, even with the help of her magic! But here you are!"

"Ms. Saige...?"

"That would be me."

In the doorway stood a female Minecraftian, clad in robes of varying shades of green, indicating that she was probably a mage of some sort. Her firey orange hair extended slightly past her shoulders, and some of her bangs covered a bit of her face. She looked about Sparklez's age, but he wasn't completely sure. "I'm surprised that you actually managed to live. Pretty much every Minecraftian in all of Minecraftia would die from a shot to the head. But somehow you lived," she then paused for a second, her hazel eyes displaying her confusion, "I still don't get it."

Sparklez only shrugged, although he knew why he had lived. "I guess some things just can't be explained."

The mage gave a quick nod, her expression calm. "I suppose so. Anyways, I have some important business to deal with. Farewell."

As she left the room, Sparklez could've sworn that he saw her eyes narrow suspiciously at him. Had she detected Sparkz's dark aura somehow? Concerned, the Captain quickly tried think of any way of how that was possible. However, his thoughts were interrupted by the much younger Minecraftian beside him, who was willing to explain everything. He accepted the offer, pushing the thought of the mage's strange behavior to the back of his mind. He still couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Saige than what met the eye...

The building shook from yet another explosion from below as Anti dashed across the rooftop, towards the group of Legion members before him. Laser blasts shot past him, the neon blue streaks barely skimming the assassin. When the soldiers got within range, Anti unleashed a large wave of flames, with him in the center of it all. All three of the armed soldiers were burned alive from the scorching blast. The flames died out shortly after they had been summoned, leaving behind the three horribly seared corpses of the soldiers. Anti smirked at the sight of his vanquished foes, proceeding to jump off of the building and latch on to the wall in front of him before he fell too far. The assassin repeated this until he landed on the ground behind yet another Dark Legions member. Without any hesistation, Anti thrust a dagger into the soldier's chest, then kicked them to the ground after retrieving his weapon.

Meanwhile, Dray and Ant were fending off the increasing amount of Legion members that were slowly being to surround them. Suddenly, one of the gray-armored soldiers grabbed Dray from behind, slapping a hand over her mouth and pulling the girl into one of the alleyways. With her blue eyes narrowed, she furiously kicked him where it counted and broke free of the soldier's grip, then struck him down with her gleaming iron sword. She ran back to the main street, where the pryomancer she was previously fighting beside was completely surrounded by soldiers. There was no way that she could get to him in time, but she would at least attempt to. Dray rushed past laser bolts and any other obstacles that got in her way, hopeful that she would be able to blast through the hordes of the hostile, armed Minecraftians. She glanced back at the older Minecraftian, only to find that he was being closed in. However, Ant didn't look the slightest bit concerned. Instead, it appeared that he was actually waiting for them to get in range of something.

Before she could return to her main objective, the teen found herself in front of a female soldier, her gun aimed directly at Dray. Just as the soldier was about to fire her weapon, she was thrown backward by a mechanical, bird-like creature. Dray's bright blue eyes widened as she recognized the robotic phoenix, as it was one of her creations. "Mecha!"

The creature spun around mid-air to face its creator. It let out a cheerful chirp in response to hearing its name called. "C'mon, Mecha, let's kick some Legion butt!"

Mecha gave a quick nod of the head and landed on the ground, allowing Dray to mount the robot. Just as the phoenix touched the ground, its attention was suddenly turned to Ant, causing the teen to gaze in the same direction. The pryomancer calmly observed the enemy troops around him, amused by the few who had noticed the temperature change. His eyes flickered with an inner flame as he brought his hand in front of him, curled into a fist. In a split second, an immense vortex of flames formed around the Minecraftian, and he unclenched his fist, as if in silent command. Time seemed to slow for a moment before the blazing vortex suddenly spread out, striking down every single one of the soldiers nearby. One after another, they dropped dead. As the inferno surged towards her, Dray braced herself for the hit, but it never came. She opened her eyes, only to find that the raging flames were simply brushing past Mecha and herself, much to her surprise.

The waves of fire shifted into the alleyways, clearing the town completely of the Legion's soldiers. When they had faded away, Ant dropped to his knees, total exhaustion evident from the look on his face. For several seconds, Dray found herself frozen to the spot, bewildered at what had just happened. She was barely able to speak a single word."How...?"

Ant glanced at her with a faint smirk, although he wasn't even sure how he did it himself. The Minecraftian steadily rose to his feet, but shortly after a few steps, he fell back down again, too weak to even support his own weight. Dray shook her head slightly, snapping out of the trance she was in, and began to approach the pryomancer. Mecha, her robotic phoenix, let out a angry screech as its creator walked over to him. The teenager turned to face her winged creation, just as it was preparing to strike Ant with its razor-sharp talons. "Mecha," Dray commanded, "Stand down. He's on our side."

Mecha softened its narrowed deep-black eyes, returning to a neutral expression. It lowered its wings to its sides and began to assist Dray in helping Ant get back up on his feet. A soft thump came from behind them, and Mecha immediately looked behind itself at the source of the sound, which was a man with glowing red eyes, a slate gray facemask, and a dark cloak with the hood pulled up. It was obvious that the Minecraftian was none other than AntiVenom, yet it did not recognize him, for the creature had never seen him before. Dray glanced at the robotic phoenix, commanding it to yet again, stand down against the Minecraftian. The mechanical creature obeyed and stepped back slightly, yet its eyes were narrowed at the pryomancer in suspicion. Something about him made Mecha uneasy. The metallic bird turned away from him, facing Dray and Ant instead.

The teenager looked over the three in front of her, and decided to head back. As much as she wanted to, she had promised not to ask any more questions about the two brothers. With a faint frown, she observed the sore sight of the battlefield. Dray glanced back at the exhausted AntVenom, aware that he would be unable to stand for much longer. With that in mind, the teen proceeded back to her workshop, the others following close behind her. Her promise would have to wait a little longer.

(A/N: Finally! It took like 2 weeks, but I finished with Chapter 15! And in that time frame, I got an idea from watching the latest episode of CS's Sky Den playthrough! (And yes, it does in fact have something to do with Zane. :3) Don't expect my whole 'one chapter per week' thing I said I would do before, since it's the school year and all. I already covered this topic in the last chapter's A/N, so that's all I'm going to say. Also! My school is no longer blocking the reviews section, so you guys finally get yet another Reviewer Questions!)

PrincessLyoka: Sparklez... one question... ARE YOU INSANE?

Sparklez: I guess you could say that from some of the things that I've done in the past...

Sawk71: Question to Dray: Why would you slice Anti in the shoulder blade?

Dray: Why do think I did it? I was afraid that he might've been lying about being Ant's brother, and was actually trying to kill Ant, or something along the lines of that. *shrugs* I dunno!

Samuras1234: to sparklez- you haven't mentioned jerry yet.

Sparklez: There really hasn't been a time when the subject of Jerry has come up, so that's why I haven't mentioned him yet.

(And that's it for Reviewer Questions this time! Thank you guys so much for reading! Now, if you'll excuse me, I shall go and play osu! again. Just if you were wondering, I'm DaChibiOverlord on there. Friend me if you'd like! Anyways, Dray, signing out!)
