in light of the 50th Anniversary, I will be posting very often. hopefully every half hour. (of course not when The Day of the Doctor is on. you guys will just have to suck it up. ;)) Enjoy!

Shock and pain clouded her eyes and a single tear rolled down her cheek. "How did you know?" she asked.

"I saw it. I saw her being pulled from her mother's arms. Why? Why would someone do that?"

"Some people are evil." she paused. "I am."

I looked at her with confusion.

"I am Melody."

I was shocked. We lapsed into an uncomfortable silence and then River started walking again. Our small party kept walking down the hallways. We came to a room eventually that the was plastic and wires hanging everywhere. "Split up. Circle the room." River whispered, and I nodded in agnologment. I set off, completely alone, to the other side of the room. I walked carefully, stepping over wires and trying to not make any noise. Somewhere in the room, a pipe clanged to the floor, causing me to jump. It must be one of the others, I thought. Something moved the plastic to the side of me, and I skittered away from it. I started backing up, because something was moving in front of me. A warning went off in my head, but I assumed it was my imagination. I kept slowly backing up until I touched a piece of plastic. And then a hand clamped over my face. A metal hand. I tried to scream and kick, but I couldn't move. The Cyberman flung me over his shoulder and released his grip on my mouth for a few seconds. I seized the opportunity and screamed as loud as I could. I saw River rush into view, hold up her gun, and then paused, trying to find a good place to shoot at. Then the cyber man started running and River disappeared in a blur. I banged as hard as I could at the Cyberman's back, but he never flinched. Suddenly he stopped and I was thrown onto the hard ground.
