*hides* Ummm...So it has almost been a year my friends. I'd like to say that I'm so so so sorry for leaving you in a cliff hanger in New Girl, I will be working on it soon. To be honest I've grown kind of distant from Kickin' It since season 3, I just don't think it's as good. BUT THE OTHER DAY OLIVIA RETWEETED ME (Olivia4Infinity) and I got super excited and decided to re-read my old fanfics and improve on them.

So without further ado...

C- Carnival

Kim sat in algebra; unable to focus. Her mind was spent on what Jack had asked her that morning at her locker. She couldn't piece together the puzzle he was playing with her. What had he meant?

Flashback

Kim stacked her socials textbook in her locker before looking back at Jack, who was casually leaning against the locker beside her own. "I don't know Jack, won't it seem...weird without the guys there?".

"Kim it will only be weird if you look into it like that. I mean we're...friends. Best friends. I don't think going to a carnival alone should be weird. I mean we hang out all the time alone right?" she nodded "So there's not much of a difference, right?"

To say she was shocked was an understatement, she couldn't figure out why he would be asking her out of all people to go to a carnival with, especially with a carnival being such a romantic and classic place to go on a date. He could ask anyone, Grace, Kelly, Sarah, hell even Donna, why her?

"I don't know Jack it just seems like the type of place two people would go on a...you know. A date." she then closed her own locker and locked it before turning back to Jack. Who had a smirk on his face at the mention of the word 'date'. Ever since they were 13 Jack has still been convinced that Kim has a crush on him, that cocky bastard.

"Common Kim." he whined "If you go I'll buy you food and win you a bear" she blinked "I realize now that I say that out loud that that is what guys do on dates...so. I will let you win me a bear and buy me food, if you want I'll even let you pick me up" she let out a giggle.

"Fine Jack, I'll go. It will just be two buds hanging out, the complete opposite of a date an anti-date if anything."

"An anti-date? I like that." he nodded and they spread apart once the bell had signaled first period. "Pick me up at 6!" he yelled down the hall.

An anti-date with Jack would be fun, just the two of them hanging, like best friends do. Kim let out a sigh and dropped her head on her desk and shot up when she felt Grace poking her harshly in the back continuously with her pen.

"Kimkimkimkimkimkimkimkimkim IS IT TRUE? PLEASE GOD OF SWEET JESUS TELL ME IT'S TRUE!" she cried dramatically.

"What are you talking about?" Kim loved Grace of course, she was her best friend but from time to time, she just wanted to stab her in the face when she got all dramatic about every little thing that happened at school or in the lives of her favourite celebrities.

"Suzanne told, Kayla who told Maya, who told Stanley, who told Jason, who told his girlfriend Lily, who told-"

"Get on with it Grace" Kim deadpanned.

"That you and Jack are going to the carnival tonight...alooooonneeeeee" she teased and sighed while fanning her face "I don't know how you managed to get that hunk of meat to take you out but I want all the deets. Eeeep- You're couple name could be Kack! Wait...ew. Kack sounds like shit or something. Jim? uhhh-"

"Grace. We aren't going on a date. It's an anti-date. Two best friends just hanging out casually while their other friends have some movie project or something." Kim explained.

"Sounds like a date to me Kim. Ohmigod I am so freaking out right now. Make sure you wear you're red skater dress tonight, it's to die for. I'm sure Jaccccckkieee will drool." At that moment the bell had finally rung, realsing the students from school. Kim let out a sigh and walked home.

5:24pm.

Kim ran around her room, deciding whether to take Grace's advice on the dress or to wear jeans and a t-shirt. Was her hair hairsprayed well enough? Ew! Is that a zit?

The blonde fell on her bed with a sigh.

"Why am I overthinking this so much. It's just Jack."

She sat up and slipped on the red dress and a pair of combat boots before jumping into her car and driving to Jack without a second thought.

She stood in front of his door.

Knock.

Just knock.

Why wasn't she knocking?

Does she even know how to knock?

Her nerves were building up, she couldn't take it, she took in a gasp of air and let it out before knocking quickly.

It only took about a minute before Jack swung open the door and stared at her in shock.

"I think I'm underdressed" he murmured after a moment in silence "I should go change? Yeah? I think I will" he was about to leave when Kim grabbed him arm "You look fine Jack, I think Grace got in my head saying 'Well if you're going on a date wear your red dress' or some crap like that, I don't know- I kinda feel like an idiot- I should go change. This is not good date attire" she hadn't even thought of what she was saying until she saw the large grin appearing on Jack's face.

"Oh so this is a date now?" he teased and grabbed her hand bringing her to the car.

Fin.

Welllllllll, that's the ending, this won't be a two parter unless y'all want it to be but I like to think the best part is not knowing and having your imagination take off and filing in the blanks yourself.
