Hey sorry its been a while. Ever since my English teacher pounded grammar in our heads for thee weeks I havn't been as enthusiastic about writing, but I'm recovering, hopefully. Anyways I apologize in advance for any errors because I'm updating from my tablet now and the auto correct never really gets what im trying to say so I just gotta hope for the best. Thank you so much for all the reviews. I know everyone says it but they really mean a lot to me. Now for some heart felt words... Here's the next chapter. Did you see what I did there? ;)
Piper's POV
I opened the door slowly, doing my best to prevent it from creaking. Soon I was greeted with the sound of soft snoring and I stepped in all the way to see Mitchie cuddled into Alex's arms both of them fast asleep. I smiled at the familiar sight feeling a small ache in my heart as I was reminded of how much I miss home. I shook the thoughts from my head as I silently slithered my way onto the foot of the bed trying not to wake them. Sure this might seem odd to them in the morning but right now I just wanted to feel safe and warm like I used to around them. Turns out no matter what I tell myself, I'm still a kid who happens to let things like nightmares get to me. I hated how still and quiet the old mansion was at night, it's like I'm just waiting for the slasher to jump out of nowhere and scare me.
"Piper?" Mitchie's groggy voice startled me from my thoughts.
"Aaagh!" I cried jumping so that I ended up falling off the edge. I was met with the cold hard ground as I heard their quiet giggles.
"Are you okay sweetie?" Mitchie managed to say between her giggles as I stood back up. Mitchie had been acting almost like a mother to me these last two weeks. She seemed to think that I was too young to be away from my parents. If only I could tell her that I'm not.
"Yeah" I told her standing there awkwardly"
"Okay. Is there a reason you're up at this hour?" Alex asked. I looked towards my feet sheepishly not wanting to admit my childish reasons. I could see a small smile form on Mitchie's face from the corner of my eye.
"Did you have a bad dream?" She guessed hitting it right on the nail. I felt myself blush and was silently praying that it wasn't visible in the moonlight, but apparently it was.
"Aw, you don't have to be embarassed about it" she told me softly and I could hear the smile in her gentle voce. "Come here." She coaxed sitting up and patting her lap. I hesitated for a second before I climbed onto the bed and she pulled me into her lap, wrapping her arms around me. I felt myself relax In her arms like I always have and I laid my head against her as she started stroking my hair.
"Do you want to talk about it?" I shook my head in response and scooted in closer to her.
"Would it be alright if I slept here? Just for tonight?" I pleaded and she nodded her head.
"Sure, you don't mind, do you Alex? She asked but got no response. We looked over to find her fast asleep also cuddled into Mitchie. Mitch breathed out a quiet laugh and I giggled as the sound of soft snoring once again filled the room.
It had been a while since I slept like I had last night, so I was able to start off the next afternoon almost refreshed. Yes I say afternoon because I'm not much of a morning person. Mommy always had joked that if it were hereditary then I would have gotten that from momma and sure enough when I woke up I was no longer in Mitchies arms but cuddled into Alex instead.
"Oh good, you're up" Michie said walking into the room and I groaned as she opened the curtains, illuminating the room. "Now come on, I made lunch" she told me and I crawled to the end of the bed before rubbing my eyes tiredly.
"Carry me?" I asked lifting my arms. She rolled her eyes playfully before giving in.
"Fine" she dragged the word out dramatically before coming over to lift me up. I wrapped my arms around her neck as she lifted me off the bed with ease.
"C'mon Alex, get up!" She called to the raven haired Latina who was still sleeping. There was a loud groan before she turned over and laid on her stomach. I figured that this might take a while so I rested my head on her shoulder as she balanced my weight onto her hip and used her free hand to shake Alex.
"Lex, wake up!" No response. "Fine, I'll just have to split your pepperoni pizza with Piper and Max" I smiled knowing the trick she was pulling. Pepperoni pizza was Alex's favorite food other than bacon.
"You shud have started with that!" Alex exclaimed throwing back the covers and sprinting out of the room. Mitchie and I laughed as Mitchie followed her girlfriend out the door.
Alex's POV
I ignored their laughter as I made my way down the stairs. It's not m fault I'm hungry. How can they expect someone who missed breakfast to not get excited at the mention of their favorite food? I made it into the kitchen and stopped short when I saw a guy who looked to be maybe a year or two older than me standing in the middle of the kitchen talking to Max.
"Erm hi" I said getting their attention. The boy turned around and smiled when he saw me. He had lchocolate brown hair and brown eyes and his skin was light barely balancing on the line of pale and tan. I admit he was fairly attractive, maybe cute even, if I were into guys.
"Oh hello, you must be Alex, i'm-" I was admiring his British accent when he was cut off by none other than my girlfriend.
"Mason" she breathed out her voice shaking slightly.
"Er yes, I'm sorry do I know you?" He asked her and she immediately shook her head.
"No, no, not at all, I don't even know you so why would you know me?" She rushed out nervously and both Mason and I gave her odd looks.
"But you knew my name" mason challenged.
"Not really, it was more like a guess. You really look like a Mason." I could tell she was lying but I decided to question her in private.
"Okay " I said dragging it out to express my confusion. "Well it's nice to meet you but you're kind of standing between me aand my pizza, so if you'll just.." I motioned with my hands for him to step aside.
"Oh right" he said apologetically before doing what I wanted him to do.
