Double post right now! and then I'm going to be evil and wait until tomorrow morning to give you the finale! Merry Christmas! (FYI this chapter is in River Song's voice and then will switch back to Kate's.)

"River!" I heard someone yelling my name. "River!" I sat up with a start and realized it was Idris. "River, she's gone!" I was instantly on my feet. I looked at her bed, and she wasn't there. Idris rushed in the room and stared at me in disbelief. I leaned down and picked up a small white cloth on the floor.

"Chloroform." I whispered. I looked up at Idris. "What about the Doctor?" I asked.

"He's gone too. We already checked the security feeds. He took her." she said solemnly.

"The Doctor wouldn't do something like that. Even if he wasn't in control right then, he would have left a clue!" I bolted out the door and to the Doctor's now empty room. And there it was. On the table there was his sonic screwdriver and a dead Cybermite. "There's a transmat feed on the Cybermite. If I can find the right frequency, I can transmat us there." I ran over to the table and picked them up. I looked up to see Idris standing back. "Are you coming?" I asked.

"No," she said, "I can't. I'm only a hologram." she smiled and faded away.

A few soldiers ran in and I told them the situation. I told them to come and didn't give them a choice. I worked for a minute with the screwdriver and Cybermite. Suddenly I hit the frequency and activated it. We were instantly in a dark corridor. I turned and gasped. On the floor lay Kate. I ran over and put my hand to her forehead. She was unnaturally cold. I looked into her glassy, open eyes and noticed that her eyes weren't gold anymore. They were brown. I checked again and felt relieved to find she still had a pulse. Then I realized what had happened. "Oh God, no." I murmured.

"What happened to her ma'am?" asked one of the soldiers.

"They took her." I whispered, slowly standing up.

"What?" he asked.

"They tore the Time from her body, her consciousness along with her. In other words, they stole her soul."
