Woo. Long time no talk, huh? Well, Happy belated 4th of July, Happy belated birthdays, happy belated Thanksgiving, & Merry belated Christmas. (Tell me if I'm missing anything). I could apologize for my absence for hours on end, but that still wouldn't be enough, would it? *Pulls puppy dog eyes* but I'm so so sowwy. I will admit that I tried to update, but author's block decided to make in appearance since it hasn't visited me on awhile. -_-. Anywoo. I hope you guys don't mind that I skipped the date scene *dodges rotten tomatoes being thrown*, but I'll make up for it somehow. Enjoy. Xoxo.
Logan's POV
I can't believe Shay would keep someone like Carlos from me, but set me up with all those useless blind dates. Even after one date, I'm pretty sure Carlos might be the one.
Throughout our whole date, he's been nothing but a gentleman. We went to this little café first and we talked to each other about almost anything; our likes, dislikes, family, hobbies, favorite vacation spots. It was absolutely amazing. I felt like he gave me all of his attention, even when the busty waitress tried all she could to get him to even glance at her. How sweet is that?
After we left the café, he paid for the meal by the way, so chivalrous {insert googly eyes here}, he took me to this really popular bowling rink. I haven't been bowling since I left home. Me and my family would go every other week. My parents always sucked at it, so the competition was really between me and my sister. God I miss her. I really should call her to see what she's up to. She's 13 now, so she's probably starting to get hooked on boys. Oh shit. I'm so not ready for this. Okay, I'm veering off track aren't I?
So, it seems that during the years I haven't been bowling, I have totally lost my touch. Luckily, I had Carlos and his warm strong arms teach me how the game goes. *wink wink*. Needless to say, I'll forget how to do everything if Carlos is there to teach me. Ohmygosh. I'm totally sprung for him aren't I? I just hope he feels the same way.
After the bowling alley, he took me to this really fun fair! It had everything; Ferris wheel, the game stands, food trucks, the loooove tunnel. *wink wink*. No, we didn't go on the love tunnel, but we did go on the Ferris wheel! It was so romantic! He's so romantic! He even won me a stuffed teddy bear! I'm seriously questioning how he isn't taken yet. With his handsome looks, irresistible charm, and sweet personality, how is he not already in a relationship? That's what I asked him when we were on the way to my house for dinner and a movie.
"How are you still single?" He laughed and took a quick glance at me before turning back to the road.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean how are you not in a relationship with anyone? Carlos, I don't know if you know this or not, but you're, like, the perfect guy." His smile faltered a bit.
"Trust me, Logan, I'm not perfect. I'm far from it."
"You might not seem perfect to yourself, but from anyone else's point of view, you're pretty much the definition of a perfect boyfriend."
"Everyone else's views of me isn't important to me. Yours is."
"Huh?" He stopped in front of my building and turned to me.
"Logan, I could care less about how other people see me. I only care about the way you see me. I know we've only known each other for a day, but I would love it if you decided to give us a go. I've never felt the way I feel around you when I was with someone else. Even if this is our first date, I don't want to let you slip through my fingers. So what do you say? Wanna make us exclusive?"
As soon as those words were out of his mouth, I undid my seatbelt and smashed my lips against his. Excuse my urgency, but when you have someone who looks like him who said something like that to you, I'm sure you'd do the same thing. So don't judge me.
He moaned against my lips and moved his hands to my waist. He pulled my back a little and smirked at me.
"I'll take that as a 'yes', then?"
"Take it as a 'hell yes'." I gave him one last peck on the lips before getting out of the car. I turned around and bent down to look at him through the window. He was staring at me as if he wanted to rip my clothes off and do me in the street. Believe me. If there wasn't a chance of us getting arrested, I would so let him. "You coming?" I winked at him then turned around and started for my apartment.
As I reached to open the door to my apartment building, I felt Carlos' arm wrap around my waist.
"You sure know how to get a man excited."
"If you think that's all I can do, you're in for some great surprises."
Whoa. Where in the hell did that come from? I would never say anything like that. Holy shit. I've been around Shay way too long. But it is getting him excited. Very excited shall I say.
It didn't take long before we were walking into the elevator. We almost had it to ourselves, too. Almost. But then that creepy guy from earlier jumped through the doors at the last second. I could feel Carlos start to tense up. He grabbed my hips then moved me to his side, away from the creepy guy. His hold on my waist couldn't get any tighter, but I wasn't complaining. That guy looks so sketchy every time I see him. And I just get this weird feeling about him. Ugh. Let's just change the topic.
When it came to my floor, Carlos quickly led me out and to my apartment door. I unlocked the door and led us in. He shut and locked the door behind us and followed me to the kitchen where I pulled out the take-out menus.
"So, do you want Chinese, or Pizza, or Thai? Or something else? I have menus for just about everything."
"Pizza's fine with me." He answered as he came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. Oh yes. I could very much get used to this position.
"Alright then. I'll just call in the order." I said as I reached for my phone. His hand reached out for mine and intertwined our hands. His hands are so big. You know what that means. *wink wink* Or is it big feet? Either way, he has those, too. Damn. Look what Shay as turned me into.
"I'll order. You can find us a movie to watch."
"You sure?"
"Yeah. What do you like on your pizza?"
"Pepperoni and sausage is fine."
"Pepperoni and sausage it is." He gave me a kiss right below my ear that made my knees weak. I closed my eyes for a second before moving away from his grip and off to my living room, where Pickles was still in the same spot I left her in.
"You are such a lazy dog. You know that right?" She looked at me briefly and raised her ear before turning back to the TV. "Of course you know that." I went over to the DVD rack next to the TV and choose 21 Jump Street. Channing Tatum is on a-whole-nother level of sexiness, but Carlos is way past that level.
I kicked off my shoes before setting the DVD in. I went back over to the couch and moved Pickles to the farther end of the couch.
"Now, Picks, I really like this guy, so no running him off, okay?" He stared at me as if he didn't know a word I was saying. "I'll tale that as a yes."
"So, what are we watching?" Carlos came in took a seat right next to me and placed his arm over my shoulders.
"21 Jump Street. Is that okay?"
"Yeah. That's fine. Most of my attention will be on something else much more important anyway." As he said that, his grip around me tightened. Yeah. Shay is so gonna get it for not introducing us sooner.
|LATER ON|
After two movies and a box of pizza and fries, it was getting late and Carlos was getting ready to leave. He leaned up and stretched. The way the muscles in his shirt moved while he stretched was just fascinating.
"I guess I better go, huh?"
I was about to answer, but thunder interrupted me. Oh shut. Just great. I hate thunderstorms. I hate them. I've been afraid of them ever since I was little. I don't what it is about them, but I hate having to go through them alone. They get me all shaky and emotional and-
"Logan!"
"Huh?"
I snapped out of my thoughts when I felt Carlos hold me against his chest. He was looking down at me worried. "What's wrong?"
"I should be asking you that. You started getting a shaky. Are you okay? Are you- Are you scared of storms?" I looked down at my toes and wrapped myself in my arms. It's so embarrassing being a grown man and scared of storms. Now Carlos is just gonna think I'm a big baby. "Logan, it's okay to be scared of storms."
"No, it's not. It's embarrassing being a grown man and scared of storms."
"Sweetheart, there's nothing wrong with it. Lots of people are scared of storms and never get over it. It's completely normal. You know, I could stay with you if you want me to." I looked up at him.
"Really? You would?"
"Definitely. As long as you feel safe, I'd be happy to stay here with you." I leaned up and pecked him on the lips.
"Thank you so much."
He tried to sleep on the couch, but I convinced him that I would be perfectly fine with him sleeping next to me. I changed into a t-shirt and some shorts while Carlos took off his vest, shirt, and jeans. So he was just in his boxers. Do you know how hard it is for me to not jump his bones? It was a very difficult task!
When we got in bed, I lied my head on his chest and he wrapped his arm around me. I think I could get used to falling asleep like this.
"Goodnight, Carlos. And thank you for staying." He leaned down and kissed his forehead.
"Anytime, Sweetheart. Goodnight."
And of course, I fell asleep with pleasant thoughts on my mind.
|Carlos' POV|
He looks like an angel even when he's sleeping.
How is that possible?
Today has definitely been one of the best days of my life. I swear. If he could stay in my arms forever, I wouldn't need anything else in the world. He's my everything. My one and only. My-
CRASH
What in the hell is that? I took one look down at Logan and slowly moved myself from under him. I transported myself to his kitchen where I heard the noise from. Soon, I found myself face to face with the one who was in the elevator with us. Before he knew it, I had him pressed against the wall with my hands around his neck, ready to snap it if I had to.
"Who the hell are you?"
"Well, Carlos, I'd think you remember me. Though it has been a while." He smirked at me and raised one of his bushy eyebrows.
"I don't know what you're talking about, but you need to leave stay away from here."
"C'mon, Carlos. Think hard."
"Spit it out, asshole." I tightened my grip on his neck.
"Tsk. Tsk. Carlos. How could you forget one of the monsters that killed your brothers?"
Oh. Shit just got real.
