I awoke to the doorbell ringing.

Today is a Saturday. October 26, to be exact.

I ran/jumped down the stairs. I walked over to the door and looked through the peephole. It was…

THE DELIVERY MAN!

I brought my fist up then down in happiness. I quickly opened the door.

"Package for the Bennett Family?"

"That would be us." When did Mrs. Bennett get here?

"Sign here please."

She signed it with about the amount of grace as most adults sign their names like. Yes, it is just a few squiggles and a quick line.

"Here are your costumes."

He handed us three boxes and left.

It was then that I took them all from her while yelling YES!

After all, our How to Train Your Dragon cosplay costumes were finally here for Halloween!

I ran up to Jamie's room.

"Kid, wake up!"

"Why? There's no school. Go away, Jack…"

"Jamie, they. Are. Here!"

He instantly bolted awake. I knew something like that would happen. He jumped out of bed and looked for the package that had been labeled as 'Hiccup'. I made sure to try and keep it from him.

"No. We need Sophie first. Too bad I don't have my ice powers because if I did, I would freeze the box to keep it away from you!"

We walked over to Sophie's room. Once we got in, there was a blur and Sophie was hugging me while saying 'Jackie'. Man, toddlers could run fast.

"Hey Sophs! Our costumes are here. Wanna see yours?"

Her little head bobbed up and down as I handed out the boxes. I gave her the smallest box marked as 'Astrid'. I kept the one that had said 'Toothless'.

There was a collective gasp as everyone looked at the perfectly sewn costumes. It had cost us all our allowance money put together and some lent money from Mrs. Bennett, but it was worth it.

At that exact moment, Mrs. Bennett walked in.

"Oh, they're beautiful! Go, go. Try them on!"

We nodded as fast as we could and put them on.

I looked at myself in the bathroom mirror. I couldn't even tell who I was anymore, which, I guess was a good thing. I got lucky because most of the Toothless costumes I saw online were meant to look more terrifying than adorable. I chose one in between. It looked like the real thing!

I walked down the hallway to show off my costume. Well, when I say walked, I mean crawled.

Once I got there, I saw Jamie getting out as well. Sophie took the longest.

Sophie's wig was lopsided. It was so adorable! We decided to just do her hair up Astrid style since her hair was around the same length and color at the time.

After showing off, we ran away to take our costumes off.

I walked through the hallway of the school. It was October 28 and I was bored. I looked over to the bulletin board to see what was going on for Halloween.

On it a sign read:

'Haunted house October 30, 2013. All volunteers welcome. Please join. Costumes provided.

I instantly signed my name onto the paper. With a mischievous grin on my face, I decided I would scare them the most. And I was determined.

By time it was October 30, I had managed to talk all of the rebels into going along with me. They signed their names with two to five lines.

The bell rang and we all ran out the door to practice. I ended up being the fastest and Alexis was the slowest with all her hat and the millions of chains that she needed to hold onto.

It has been like this since the last two days. Allen was the hardest to convince so this was his first practice.

We arrived in record time. I put on my costume for the first time. I went for a costume that made me look like a figure skating ghost. For the costume, I dug out my old clothes and told everyone that the battle scars were makeup and they somehow believed me.

I put on my old figure skates. I was surprised to still have them. When I first became Jack Frost I saw my old ice skates and hid them nearby. They were advanced for the time so I buried them. I'm still surprised that no one dug them up. I made them myself. Most skates at the time where just tied to whatever shoes you were wearing so I grabbed our matching boots and attached the string to the laces. It had worked perfectly.

After a long practice, it was time for the real thing. I hid in the bars on the ceiling. When someone would come, I would jump down with only a bungee cord. It was as dark so no one saw it.

Finally, after waiting forever, someone came through. It was a child around five.

I jumped down and laughed as creepy and as loud as I could. The child screamed as loud as he could and ran. I touched the ground and bounced back up. Man I missed flying.

After a few hundred people, Jamie and Sophie came. I knew I had to do the best to them.

I waited for the best moment. At the time the usual smoke bomb was going off.

I jumped down with ease. I made sure I wasn't facing him. I slowly turned around to him and did my usual laugh with the creepiest face they have ever seen. They screamed so loud you could hear them outside of the school.

I then jumped back up and went back to my normal skit for the rest of the night. I was still overly hyper by the end of the night.

Halloween came by really fast. When I got home I saw Sophie was sick and Mrs. Bennett telling her she can't go.

Poor little Sophie had tear in her eyes. I waited until her mom left to drag her upstairs to her room.

"You rest, okay? If you feel a bit better by the time we go trick-or-treating you can pass out candy. When I get back, I'll give you all of mine."

She nodded and looked a bit happier. She hopped into her bed while I sang her a lullaby from when I was little.

By the time I was done, she was asleep.

When we got back to the house and said trick-or-treat, we saw Sophie at the door in her little Astrid costume. She gave Jamie some and dumped about half the bowl into mine. I handed her my bag and her smile was so wide that she looked almost like a clown.

AN- Done! Two more chapters to go until I update it…
