Me: Sorry for the long wait! I've been busy. Anyways, I own only Lexus and my characters.

I was awakened when a clap of thunder sounded outside my window. I momentarily forgot where I was, but after a moment my memories come back. I was staying at Castiel's house because of my dad. I yelped when another clap of thunder sounded outside. I pulled my knees to my chest and covered my ears with my hands. My eyes were shut tightly and I yelped again when thunder sounded again, this time louder. I looked up when the door opened to see Castiel with a flashlight in hand.

"Hey, I heard yelping from here. You okay?" I was about to nod yes when thunder clapped and I squealed in fright and covered my ears again. Even though my ears were covered and my eyes were closed, I heard his footsteps coming closer to me, then I felt the bed shift.

"Lexus? Are you afraid of thunder and lighting?"

"Yes, go ahead and laugh." I said into my knees. I gasped when he wrapped his arms around me.

"I'm not going to laugh at you for that." I looked up to him.

"Really?"

"Yea." I jumped when another crack of thunder sounded again and Castiel's arms kept me from running. He let me bury my face into his chest. We sat in silence for a little bit when Cas asked;

"Hey Lexus? What do you think of during thunderstorms like this?" I shrugged.

"I mostly think about my childhood. I guess, I never got over my fear of thunder and lighting because I was always alone. Not to mention, my dad almost killed me." Castiel pulled away slightly and looked down at me.

"What the hell happened?"

"I was about eight or seven and I admitted that I was scared. My dad started to hit me, telling me that fear makes you weak." I snorted and Castiel scowled.

"I hate that bastard."

"I know you do." I rested my head on his shoulder as he petted my hair. I hid my face in the crook of his neck as thunder boomed and lighting flashed.

"Lexus, you know that I'm not going to let you go." I smiled lightly.

"I know. I know that you and the others aren't going to let my dad take me away without a fight." He kissed my forehead. I yawned again and he chuckled. He gently laid me down on the pillow and pulled the blanket over me. I clutched his hand.

"Don't leave me alone yet." He smirked and laid down on his stomach next to me and started to play with my hair.

"Tomorrow's Saturday, you want to do something."

"What do have in mind?" I asked and he winked.

"It's a surprise. I figured that you deserve to have some fun." I hummed and yawned again. He chuckled and kissed my cheek.

"Sweet dreams, Lexus..." I scooted closer to his chest and he cast an arm over me. Then I drifted off to a deep dreamless sleep.

Castiel smirked as Lexus slept peacefully against his chest. He couldn't help but think that she looked so cute when she slept. She looked like she wasn't afraid or worried about anything that had been going on in her life for the past few weeks. Castiel rested his chin on her hair and drifted off himself.

I yawned and found that Castiel was still sleep next to me. I rested my head on his chest and he woke up. He yawned.

"Hey."

"Hi." I greeted back. Castiel shifted and started to pet my hair as I buried my face into his chest.

"Thanks for comforting me last night." He grunted. I sat up and poked him in the chest.

"What's that about?"

"What?" I rolled my eyes.

"The grunt and you shrugging your shoulders."

"What? It's part of my badass attitude." I sat on my knees.

"Right." I yelped when Castiel pushed me backwards and pinned me on the bed.

"Jerk." I pouted and he chuckled, nuzzling my neck. His fingers tickled my side and I yelped, making him laugh and sit up. He stretched and turned.

"I believe that I have a surprise for you." He walked out of the room and returned with something behind his back. I lifted an eyebrow as Castiel smirked. He waved a flayer in my face and I snatched it from him and looked at it. It was a flayer for the carnival that was in town. I gave him a funny look and he laughed at me, poking my nose.

"I thought that you could use something to take your mind off of the crap that was going on." I put the flyer on the bed and I got pushed out of the room as Castiel changed. I flinched and glared at the door that had slammed in my face.

"Cas! You're a jerk!" I yelled and only got a laugh from him.

After changing and getting something to eat, Cas and I got on his bike that was sitting outside. I watched as he dug around his garage for five minutes looking for a spare helmet. I had to snicker at him.

"Hey Cas?"

"What?"

"You sure you're not naturally blonde?" He gave me a funny look for that. I snickered as I pointed at the rack with the helmets hanging on it. Cas glared and I laughed at him for it.

"Why didn't say anything before?" He asked and I snickered at him, grinning.

"I wanted to see if you would clue in." Cas scowled and glared at me.

"Not cool, Lexus."

"Hey! I thought it was funny!" I argued and he tossed a helmet at me, which I caught.

"Hey, don't be a jerk!" I said, sticking my tongue out at him. He rolled his eyes as he pulled the helmet in his hands on his head and I did the same. Cas mounted his bike ahead of me and glanced over his shoulder with a smirk on his face.

"Hang on, Lexus." He started the bike and I yelped as he took off. I wrapped my arms around his mid-section as we rode through town towards the fair grounds. I peered over his shoulder as he parked and cut the engine to see that Lysander, Leigh, and everyone else were waiting. Rosalya waved when she saw us.

"Hey! Lexus!" I got tackled into a hug by her and Cas laughed. It was my turn to laugh when she poked him in the chest, saying how she was annoyed at him for letting me get shot.

"Hey! It wasn't my fault!" He whined with a scowl and Rosalya waved her hand in a dismissive way.

"Whatever you say, Castiel." I giggled as I playfully bumped him.

"Just ignore her." Rosalya heard that and blew a raspberry at me. Lysander rolled his eyes and Leigh and everyone else gave light chuckles. Iris smiled.

"Come on, lets go in!" She said with a wide grin. I took Castiel's hand and we walked into the fair ground with smiles on our faces.

As soon as we got in and bought tickets for rides and food, we each walked off in groups of two or three. Leigh and Rosalya walked off towards the ferris wheel, Lysander, Iris, and Melody walked off towards the roller coasters, leaving Cas and me behind. I glanced at him.

"Now what?" I asked and he shrugged.

"Games?" I smirked.

"Sure." We headed towards the booths with games and I grinned when I spotted a purple and white stuffed panda hanging as a prize in one of the booths. Castiel saw what I was looking at and smirked.

"I'll win that for you." He told me and I looked at him with a lifted eyebrow.

"You wanna bet?" His smirk broadened.

"Yea, watch me." He pulled me towards the booth and paid the amount of tickets that were needed. The man running the booth nodded and started the machine. The point was to rack up points by popping balloons with the darts that were given to you. Castiel ended up with 16000 points and I grinned when he handed me the panda I was eying.

"Told you I would win it for you." He grinned and I laughed.

"Oh how I was so wrong to doubt you!" I grinned back. He only laughed at me.

After spending time on rides, playing more games, (I beat him at the water shooting game) and eating, we ended our day with a ride on the ferris wheel and watching as the sunset. I grinned as I hugged my panda that I had gotten earlier.

"This was a good idea, Cas." I said with a smile.

"I needed this." Castiel smiled. Not the amused smirk that I always got, an actual smile.

"I'm glad you had fun, you looked like you needed this." I made a happy noise, hugged the panda and looked out over the fair grounds as the sunset light made the grounds seem to be orange gold.

"It's so beautiful, and it's so peaceful right now." I muttered and Castiel nodded.

"Yea, it's nice." I frowned.

"Cas, if my dad comes, I won't be able to do this any more." Castiel scowled.

"That's not going to happen. Like I said, it will be a cold day in hell, before he gets his hands on you." I hugged the stuffed panda tightly.

"I'm scared though, I'm scared he'll take me away." He touched my shoulder and pulled me into a sideways hug. He let me rest my head on his should.

"You don't have to be scared, Lexus. I'm here to protect you." I hummed and the ferris wheel jerked as our car reached the platform. Castiel stepped out first and helped me out of the car. He took my hand and lead me towards the front gates where everyone was waiting.

We all sat on the grass outside, talking about our day. Iris and Rosalya loved my panda a little too much.

"But it's so cute!" Rosalya squealed. I glared at her.

"Yea, but it's mine! So no touching!" Cas chuckled.

"You sound like a little kid." I scowled.

"Tell that to Rosalya." Rosalya rolled her eyes.

"Whatever!" That got a laugh from everyone else. Castiel stood and stretched.

"Come on, Lexus. Let's get home." I nodded and took his offered hand.

"Bye guys!" I said as I followed Cas to the motorcycle.

We held hands as we walked through the parking lot to Castiel's bike. However, we stopped when a van cut us off and men with black ski masks covering their faces jumped out.

"Grab the girl!" One yelled. Cas pushed me away and started to fight them off. A pair of guys tried to grab me, but I kicked on in the crotch and gave a solid punch to the other guy's nose. Next thing I knew, Cas was holding his gut, yelling at me to run and get help. I didn't though. One of the guys sneak up behind me and shoved a cloth in front of my mouth and nose. I dropped my stuffed animal and the smell overwhelmed me, making everything go black.

To say that Castiel was mad was an understatement. He was PISSED that they had the nerve to use chloroform on Lexus. Castiel launched himself at them after he saw her pass out. However, he got punched and knocked to the ground. The last thing he saw was the van speeding away with his girlfriend inside.

"Lexus..."
