Me: Yup, I'm terrible for making you guys wait! I blame exams for making me braindead as hell. Anyways, this is the last chapter! It's cheesy, but I don't care. It's cute none the less. I don't own MCL, just Lexus and Mo. Enjoy!

My Auntie called the police and the ambulance and five minutes later, I was sitting on the hood of a police car with a blanket around me. Lysander was sitting next to me and watching the people as they passed. Lysander glanced at me with a sad look on his face as they carried my dad's body away.

"You alright, Lexus?" He asked and I swallowed.

"I don't know." Lysander touched my shoulder.

"It will be okay, Lexus." I managed a weak smile at the white haired boy. I felt happy that he and Castiel were both there for me.

"Thanks Lysander."

"For what?" I smiled.

"For being a good friend. You and the others were there for me and I'll always be glad to have friends like you." Lysander smiled a small smile of his own.

"You're welcome, Lexus. I know that Castiel would be very upset if he lost you." I managed a light chuckle.

"He did take a bullet for me, that says a lot."

"Lexus honey!" Rosalya, Iris, Melody and Violet all came running up to see if I was okay. I smiled.

"I'm fine, really. In fact, I feel better then I have in a while." Violet timidly stepped forward.

"Did your dad really...?" She didn't finish and I nodded.

"Yea, he did." I felt Lysander pat my back to comfort me.

"What are you going to do now?" Iris asked, her eyes were filled with concern and I smirked.

"Pick up the pieces, I guess. Who knows, maybe I can heal from this."

I stayed with Castiel for about a month before I was ready to go back to my apartment. According to him, I was really depressed and still kinda paranoid. Everyone I knew and were friends with came by to see how I was doing and to give me their best wishes. Nathaniel swung by to help me move back into my apartment. (Which was trashed.) Luckily it wasn't too bad and with Castiel and Nathaniel helping, we managed to get everything back in order. After it was done, Nat said his goodbyes. Before he left, he leaned in and whispered in my ear not to worry.

"You are allowed to miss the next couple of days. Think of it as an extended break for you." I gave him a look.

"I won't get in trouble, for missing so many days of school?" He shook his head.

"I'll pull a few strings. Once the Principal knows about what happened, she'll understand." I smiled.

"Thanks Nat, for everything." He nodded and left. I watched him leave and turned to see that Castiel was hanging out on my couch. I walked over to the kitchen island and watched him.

"What was that about?" He asked and I shrugged.

"Nat being... Well Nat." Castiel snorted and I shot a funny look at him.

"What?"

"Oh nothing." I lifted an eyebrow.

"Cas, don't lie to me."

"I'm not lying." I snorted.

"That's a load of bull and you know it." He grunted and rubbed the spot where he was shot. My look softened.

"How's your arm?" I asked as I sat next to him and he shrugged.

"It's okay, I guess. The stitches hurt." I chuckled.

"I can imagine." We sat in silence and Castiel looked at me.

"You okay?" I shook my head and he wrapped his arms around me. He let me bury my face into his chest as he petted my hair.

"It's okay, Lexus." He whispered.

"You don't have to worry anymore. I'll always be right here." I looked up at him.

"Really?" He nodded.

"Yea, I will." He kissed my forehead. His fingers gently brushed my cheek.

"Thanks Cas."

"For what?" I smirked as I playfully pushed him over.

"For being my knight in not so shining armor." He laughed at that, and for the first time since my dad found me, I laughed. Now, I was free.
