This is Parker's POV for the beginning of the chapter, and then the actual story begins the next chapter! : )
When the hour is night
And hopelessness is sinking in
And the wolves all cry
To fill the night with hollering
When your eyes are red
And emptiness is all you know
With the darkness fed
I will be your scarecrow
Oh you tell me to hold on
Oh you tell me to hold on
but innocence is gone
and what was right is wrong
Cause I'm bleeding out
So if the last thing that I do
Is bring you down
I'll bleed it out for you
So I bare my skin
And I count my sins
And I close my eyes
And I take it in
And I'm bleeding out
I'm bleeding out for you
It's been 3 days since the incident, and Solis acted like nothing happened. I swear when I get that guy, I would torture him so bad people won't even recognize him when I'm done.
I'm at the front of our inn and I'm pacing while Ed and Al are at East HQ. I could see Solis walking with Winry towards me, Solis was laughing while a blushing Winry gave her a glare. As Solis walked towards me, just jumped and hugged me. I was startled at first, but then I remember why she is showing such affection.
Flashback 3 days beforeā¦.
I looked at Solis, who was crying in my arms. We were at the hospital and its 3 in the morning. Solis had another nightmare and I was watching her (We all took shifts watching her to feel more safe) and I talked to her about many things like my brother Nate and a girl in his school who he likes. She smiled at me, her gray eyes changing to an emerald color. I smiled back, and cradled her like a fragile baby. After that day of the accident, we all grew closer. Ed showed her some techniques and I showed her how to shoot a gun. She soon became herself again, even after only 3 days. Winry and her are joint to the hip, they can never be separated. They were best friends. Then, Solis told everyone that she will join the military and become a state alchemist.
I was so inspired at how Solis was determined to forget what happened, let alone train to become the military's dog. Solis keeps telling us that she was used to it, whatever she meant I really do not want to know, and that it's in the past. I know that Solis and the Elric brothers haven't warmed up on me yet, but I won't leave until they do.
I was so deep in thought, while Ed and Solis started to poke me. I looked at them dazed a bit before returning to myself. "What are you thinking?" Solis asked; her cyan eyes shone in curiosity as she looked up at me. I towered over her a bit, me being 5'10 and her being 5'4. I just smiled. "Nope, everything's fine." I really did have a genuine smile, but Solis still gave me a weary look.
A WEEK LATER~
Solis POV:
I took a sharp breath as security guards led me to the waiting room with only 3 other people. I looked around with bright cyan eyes, scanning my surroundings and the 3 men.
One was around 20 and had dark brown hair and was wearing a simple grey shirt. He had a scar on his cheek, and his grey eyes are dark against his pale skin. Another man was around his early 30s and had a white muscle shirt with ripped jeans. His blonde hair was messy and his amused blue eyes looked towards the 3rd man in the room. This man looked to be around his 30s as well and had khakis and was wearing a button up shirt. His brown eyes looked odd with his navy blue hair and his fingers would not stop fidgeting. His eyes scan the room cautiously.
As I trip over my foot and almost knock over a vase, it made a loud clink. All men turn to me, while my cyan eyes turned to an embarrassed pink. I laughed nervously as one of them laughed at me. "What is a girl doing here? Let alone a child!" Mr. Muscle Shirt yelled, as the one with a grey shirt rolled his eyes. I do the same before someone called a name: "Mr. Brock Chester." I turn to see the loud man leave the room with a grin.
An hour and a half later, the Brock man came out with a frown and a bleeding arm. He looked at me with a hard look before leaving. I suddenly became more nervous.
The guard called on another person. "Mr. Nick Adler." The man with the scar got up and entered the next room. Another hour later and Nick comes out with a bruised eye and a toothy grin. "Be careful there, sweet cheeks, the guards are tougher than they look." He winked at me, making me blush. As he left, only Mr. Odd and I were left. He was staring at me while I tried to not make eye contact.
"Ms. Solis-"I got up immediately before the guard could finish his sentence and enter the room, feeling the man's gaze on my back. I entered to be greeted by the one and only Mr. President. "Ah, a young girl. You remind me of Fullmetal." The green eyed man chuckled; his laugh was so much like His. My eyes turned orange in fear. "C-can we start now please, sir?" I asked. He just nodded and rose his hand up. As soon as he made the move, several guards with shafts and weapons lunged at me.
I quickly summoned my bloody sword and sliced each blade and shaft. I summoned my acid blood and splattered it all over the guards, as they frantically tried to take their armor off with acid. I stabbed the others with my acidic blood sword while they cry in help.
As soon as the 3 guards were out of breathe, 4 more appeared and one of them had a familiar pin. I grinned and kicked one of them in the shin and elbowing another's jaw. My sword is quickly turned to a small dagger that was very useful since I sliced a man's finger off. He cried in plea as I continued, my menacing smile is shown vividly on my face. My blood red eyes shone bright.
I took out all but the man with the all too familiar pin. I grabbed his short red ponytail and gripped on him as his green eyes shone curiosity and fear. But before I could do anything, the Furer clapped his hands and some men took all the guards out the room, including the red head. He just gave me an icy smile.
"Very good Solis Darkling, no mercy was shown whatsoever. Very much expected from the only living child of the Blood Alchemist. You should be expecting your results in a few days from Mustang. You may leave." The Furer gave me a glare as I looked at him with wide eyes before I was pushed out.
