A/N: Happy New Year, everyone! :) Here's just a quick chapter for you all! Enjoy! And thank you for the reviews, they honestly mean so much to me!

"Are they?…" Finn started quietly, but Mike didn't reply.

Finn eyes were fixated on Rachel's smile when Puck bent down closer to her. The sound of the glee club members' voices blared through the speakers, but it only seemed muffled in his ears. He shot out of his seat with a panicked expression, the plastic cup suffocating in his fingers.

Just when he thought their lips were going to touch, Puck's mouth went to Rachel's ear.

Finn furrowed his eyebrows in confusion as he stared at his friends.

Rachel smiled at him, "What?"

Puck bent slowly down to her ear, "I said, you wanna get punch after this song?"

After brushing hair away from her face, he retreated back to his position. Rachel looked up at him and nodded, continuing their slow dance.

Finn let out a sigh of relief and laughed to himself, "Oh thank God!"

He plopped down onto his chair, still laughing, and tossed the plastic cup on the table. Mike raised a questioning eyebrow at him, "Come again?"

"I uh, I… Oh hey!" He blushed a little before heading in Jennifer's direction.

Mike watched him suspiciously before giving his attention to Tina on stage. The spotlight bounced on her black dress and headpiece as she adjusted her microphone. Her lipstick covered lips curved into a smile when they shared eye contact.

The music started and Tina closed her eyes as she waited for her count in.

Puck, Rachel, and Finn found their seats around the table. Jennifer walked shortly after and sat on Finn's lap. Rachel glanced at them in the corner of her eye as Jennifer whispered something into Finn's ear. Jennifer kissed him on the cheek and before she left, Finn gave her a small smile.

Tina pat her thigh to the beat, and began her first notes of "Dog Days Are Over" by Florence + the Machine.

Finn nodded along with his fingers lightly drumming on his thighs. The song picked up and the four of them started dancing in their seats as Tina danced on stage. He felt himself smile and turned to look at Rachel who was smiling brightly at Tina. When she felt his gaze, she returned the smile shyly.

Mike watched the two of them for a brief moment before watching Tina again.

Finn listened to words she was singing, and frowned a little to himself. Was he hiding around corners and under his bed like the girl Florence/Tina was singing about? He wanted to know why he was feeling so jealous and anxious around her. He wanted to know why he couldn't keep his eyes off of her the whole night… And any night for that matter. Why is he even thinking about her during this song? Is he still in denial of his feelings towards her? Nah, he shook his head to himself slightly, there's nothing there. He looked up at her again, battling with himself in his mind. Just as he was about to scowl to himself, Rachel glanced at him and smiled.

Maybe there was something there.

When the music slowed down, Tina's voice danced through their ears gently. Puck grinned at Rachel when she turned around to look at him. Finn watched as he brushed some of her hair away from her bare shoulders. Finn's stare caused Puck to look at him. He gave him a nod before they all turned to Tina. Finn squinted slightly with creased eyebrows and then turned back again to Tina. When she finished her solo, the four of them clapped.

Mike stood up, whistled and threw his arms up for her. Tina shook her head a wide smile before walking towards them. Jennifer came back as well, and they all finished the night with three more dances and Finn sneaking glances at Rachel.

After the dance, Mike, Tina, Puck, Rachel, and Finn headed over to the Chang residence for their sleepover. Finn draped his arm around Rachel's shoulders as they all walked to the car. Puck's head tilted as he gave them a look. He watched Finn smile into her hair and felt his face scrunch up at the sight of them. He had a feeling something was going on, and he needed to know what.

Once they got inside, they got out of their homecoming clothes and got their stuff together. Everyone changed into their pajamas and huddled around Mike's living room. While everyone was getting situated, Mike walked into his kitchen. He waved over at Finn, "Hey can you help me with the snacks?"

Finn nodded in his black t-shirt and blue basketball shorts. He followed him into the kitchen, "Can we have some of those cookies your mom always buys? Those are delicious."

Mike peeked his head out of the doorway to see if any of the others were listening or coming in. Finn continued when he didn't reply, "Or how about some cool ranch Dorritos? I could eat a whole bag of those."

Finn gave him a goofy lopsided grin before pulling the handle of the pantry door.

Since no one was coming or listening, Mike took that as his signal. "So, do you like Rachel?"

Finn dropped the bag of chips, but quickly went to grab it right after.

Mike smirked and took the bag of chips away from Finn's hands. "So you do."

"As a friend, yeah," Finn said unconvincingly. He put the bag of popcorn into the microwave and pressed the buttons. Under Mike's gaze he gave in slowly admitting the truth out loud, "Yeah… okay. I think I do."

"For how long?" Mike asked as he emptied the chips into a bowl. He turned towards the fridge and took out some beverages.

Finn shrugged and took the popcorn out. "I don't know."

"Are you gonna tell her?"

"No!" Finn said quickly and then relaxed a little, "I mean, why should I?"

Mike frowned a little, unsatisfied with the answers he was getting. "But—"

"No," Finn shook his head and put some food on the tray Mike pulled out. "It's nothing. 'sides, she wanted to go out with Puck so why risk something that doesn't even matter?"

"I know it's a big risk, but Puck—"

Their conversation came to a halt when Puck entered the kitchen. "You guys are taking way too long. I know women have their place in the kitchen, but come on."

He took some of the food, flexing his bare arms underneath his shirt he cut into a muscle tee.

Finn and Mike followed suit and found their places in between Tina and Rachel.

Puck got up from his spot on a blanket and got their movie started. Rachel looked at his blanket and found the one next to his, "Finn, do you think you can hand me that blanket please?"

Finn nodded and grabbed the one next to Puck's. He wrinkled his eyebrows as he looked around— Mike and Tina were sharing one, Puck had one, and now Rachel had her own… They always had four blankets, so where was his?

Rachel thanked him and noticed his wandering eyes. "Is this the last blanket?"

He nodded before his eyes widened slightly in realization. He flashed a look at Mike who shrugging in feigned innocence.

She looked up at him through her lashes, "Would you like to share with me, Finn?"

Finn rubbed the back of his neck before reluctantly nodding, "Sure."

After replying, he went up to turn the lights off. Rachel smiled at him and spread the blanket across their bodies once he found his spot next to her.

After about thirty minutes into the movie, the two of them drifted into a peaceful slumber. Rachel's body gently rested on Finn's as he lightly snored on top of her head. When the movie ended and the snacks were finished, Puck turned the TV off but not before looking around at his friends.

He took a double take at Finn and Rachel. The two of them have never cuddled like that before. He nudged Mike before settling under his blanket, "Is something going on?"

Mike wanted to say something but only shrugged. Tina smiled at the two cuddling under the blanket but could only shrug as well. Puck gave them a look of disbelief but shook off the feeling. He didn't care if something was going on, but he didn't want them to hide anything from him or the others. Puck hated it when people lied or hid things from him. He hated it.

The next morning, Finn woke up and found Rachel nestled on his side. He smiled to himself sleepily around the room. He didn't see any of his friends so he closed his eyes and let himself slip back into slumber, but only to be woken up by Puck walking into the room.

"Looks like someone's finally awake," He said in a bit of a grumble as he took a seat on the couch. His eyes bounced back from Rachel's body to Finn's with a certain look. He was still bitter about them hiding their relationship from him, Mike, and Tina. They had been acting weird since the dance… Well, at least Finn was anyway. He scoffed, at least be a little discrete about it.

Finn shifted a little, uncomfortable under his scrutiny. He wasn't sure why Puck was staring at them with hard eyes, but when he looked down at Rachel his eyebrows raised slowly. He turned to look at Puck and analyzed his face. Is Puck mad because he had his arms around his girl? Wait, Rachel isn't his girl. Finn returned the look, creating a little tension in the room.

Tina and Mike finally entered with quiet laughter. "Oh hey," Tina smiled. "Good morning…"

Her voice trailed as her's and Mike's faces fell.

Rachel opened her eyes slowly and lifted her head up from Finn's chest. She looked at her friends with furrowed eyebrows, "What's going on?"

She let out a small yawn before putting her head back on Finn's chest. She closed her eyes as she waited for a reply. When he didn't think anyone was going to speak up, Mike broke the silence. "So we should go get breakfast? Karofsky asked if we wanted to meet up with everyone at the diner."

"Said he wants to make it up to Rachel." Puck said, not taking his eyes off of the two.

Finn glared, "And he thinks a breakfast can do that? Forget about it, we're not going. We can have breakfast here." He motioned to them, "But just us."

"I bet you'd like that," Puck mumbled under his breath.

Finn and Rachel sat up. He took the blanket off of him, "Is there a problem, Puckerman?"

"Are you hiding something from us, Hudson?" He glared and mocked him.

Finn stood up and almost growled back, "Are you?"

Rachel looked at Finn and Puck with scared eyes. Mike stepped in between them. Although he wasn't sure of what was going on, he tried to control the situation. "Hey," He said calmly. "That's a good idea. We can all make some breakfast together and then clean up and get our stuff together."

Finn and Puck eyed each other before walking into the kitchen. Tina was at the stove scrambling eggs while Rachel put slices of bread into the toaster. Finn let go of whatever happened in the living room, but Puck was still trying to figure out why they were hiding things from him.

Mike pulled out a carton of orange juice from the fridge as Finn grabbed glasses for everyone. Puck placed the plates and utensils on the table and sat down, watching his friends carefully.

Once they had food in their systems, Puck and Finn went back to normal and so did everyone else.

Rachel took a bite of her strawberry jelly coated toast just as her phone rang. She put down her toast and dusted her hands of any crumbs before grabbing her phone. Her loose waves swaying as she reached to answer it.

"Hello?" She asked, her friends laughing and eating in the background.

A voice cleared their throat over the line. Her voice was coated with disdain as she addressed Rachel.

"Rachel Barbra, good morning."

Rachel groaned silently and rolled her eyes. She made sure to hush her friends before continuing. She straightened her back to improve her posture and grinned with sarcastic enthusiasm. Her voice laced with politeness. "Hello, Aunt Beatrice."

Tina gave Mike a questioning look, but all Mike could offer was look that said 'he'd tell her later but for now be quiet.' So they waited for her finish her conversation in silence. They all knew who Aunt Beatrice was. She hosted the Berry family dinner, which she proudly called the Berry Banquet. Puck said she was a total MILF, but he'd never go for her because of all that attitude she has going on.

"I assume you will be going back to your father's home, yes? A lady like you should not be sleeping around some boy's house."

Rachel nodded although he couldn't see her. "Yes, I'll be there in time for lunch."

"Don't keep me waiting, Rachel Barbra. I'll be here at your place with your Uncle Robert."

Rachel sighed a little, "I see, well as you know I am with my friends so—"

"Very well then, you may bring them along. Tell your dance partner to bring his finest clothing as we will compare your progress and skills to that of Lisa Jane and her boyfriend. She will be here soon, so I suggest you hurry."

Rachel rolled her eyes, "Of course, we will be there as soon as possible."

Their conversation ended and Rachel groaned. She closed her eyes and massaged her temples.

"Aunt Beatrice wants us to dance for her doesn't she," Finn said rather than asked, his mouth full of eggs.

"No!" Puck yelled out dramatically and she gave them all sympathetic looks. "I'm not going, Rach."

"You're not going," She said as she bit her toast. "Noah James is."

He groaned, "I already hate it when you call me Noah, please don't push it."

Finn stifled a laugh and Puck spat, "I wouldn't be laughing, Finn Christopher."

Finn shut up instantly and Puck threw a look at Mike, "And don't even start Michael John."

Rachel bit her lip to stop herself from laughing. She wiped the corners of her mouth, "You three can save yourselves. Finn and I can't though, so we'll see you tomorrow maybe."

They cleaned up and said goodbye to each other. Once Finn and Rachel reached their hall, they exchanged frightened looks. "At least Lisa's gonna be there right?" She asked.

Finn shrugged and headed into his apartment. He dressed into his khakis and button up before they walked over to her place. She said a quick hello to her family members before walking to her room to put on her dress and heels. After that, Finn and Rachel did their dance and Aunt Beatrice clapped.

"Wonderful! You both will do fine tomorrow night," Her Uncle Robert admired.

"Thank you, Uncle Robert," Finn and Rachel said in chorus.

After discussing their dances, they got ready to leave. Beatrice and Robert walked out into the hallway and towards the elevator. Lisa stopped her cousin. Her dark brown hair pinned up and lips covered in a pink gloss, "Rachel, are you and Finn going out?"

She shook her head. "Why?"

Lisa started, "You know my dad's rule. At these special dinners, only—"

"Only immediate family members or significant others are allowed to attend," Rachel recited. "In the eyes of your dad, I suppose I am sinning."

Lisa rolled her eyes with a laugh, "Don't worry, I won't tell them. I'll see you tomorrow."

Before she turned around to catch up with her parents she flashed a smile, "But just for the record, you two would make a lovely couple."

Rachel ducked her head in embarrassment and brushed her bangs away with her fingers. Finn watched her with a growing smile, maybe they would make a lovely couple.
