(Two Days Later)
(NCIS: OSP Headquarters)
(Callen's P.O.V.)
"Are you sure this will be fool proof?" Ziva asked.
After my phone call with Gutierrez, Director Vance, Gibbs, Tony, and Ziva got on a plane and came to Los Angeles.
Tony went with Sam and Deeks to scope out the area they were scoping out for the past couple of days to make sure they didn't miss anything.
Gibbs and Vance were with Hetty in Hetty's Office.
Ziva, Ryan, Kensi and I were with Eric and Nell who were putting the finishing touches on a fake diamond, a perfect replica of the original, for my meet with Gutierrez.
"Very sure." Nell said. "Gutierrez won't know the difference."
"You impress me, Miss Jones." Ryan said, smiling at her.
"You can call me Nell." Nell said, smiling back at him.
Eric narrowed his eyes at Ryan.
Just then, my phone began to ring.
I took my phone out and answered it.
"Yeah?" I said.
"G., we found McGee." I heard Sam's voice say from the other side of the phone.
"Where?" I asked.
"Not too far away from where we searched before." Sam said. "Deeks called an ambulance."
"What about Emily?" I asked, gaining Ryan, Ziva, Kensi, Nell, and Eric's attention.
"Haven't seen her." Sam said. "Deeks and I are going to continue to look for her. Tony is gong ot go to the hospital with McGee."
"I'll be there shortly." I said.
Then I hung up the phone and headed toward Hetty's Office. Kensi, Ziva, Eric, Nell, and Ryan following me.
Once I reached Hetty's Office, I said:
"They found McGee."
Hetty, Gibbs, and Director Vance looked at me.
"What about Agent Taylor?" Vance asked.
"Nothing yet." I said. "Tony's going to the hospital with McGee. I'm going to go to Sam and Deeks."
"Ziva and I will meet DiNozzo at the hospital." Gibbs said, standing up.
"Mr. Callen," Hetty said. "Take Miss Blye and Mr. Taylor with you."
I nodded.
Then, Gibbs, Ryan, Ziva, Kensi, and I headed toward the exit.
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
Ryan, Kensi, and I walked up to Sam and Deeks.
"We found McGee over there." Deeks said pointing toward a dumpster. "He didn't look so good."
"Did he tell you anything?" Kensi asked.
"He told us he came out of a parking garage somewhere in that direction." Sam said, pointing beyond the dumpster.
"Let's not waste time." I said.
Then, Ryan, Deeks, Kensi, Sam, and I headed in the direction McGee said.
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
"Ok, please, please, say, we're not walking anymore." Deeks said.
"Why? Tired out?" Sam asked, amused.
"I'm not exactly the outdoors-y type guy." Deeks said, as we continued to walk. "At least, as far as woods are concerned."
"We're still in the city." Kensi pointed out to him.
"They why are we headed toward TREES?!" Deeks asked.
I chuckled and shook my head.
"How about instead of you complaining, you look for a car garage." Ryan said.
"Trust me, I am." Deeks said.
Then, it was silent as we continued to look around.
"Over there." I heard Sam say suddenly.
I looked at Sam and saw he was pointing at something. I looked where he was pointing and saw a car garage about a mile away.
"That must be it." Kensi said.
"Let's go." I said. "And stay on alert."
Then, we began to head toward the car garage.
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
As we approached the door to the car garage, we took our guns out.
Once I reached the door, I turned to look at them.
"Kensi, Deeks, check the perimeter." I said. "Ryan, with me and Sam."
Kensi and Deeks gave a nod and began to scan the area.
I looked at Sam, as Ryan walked to the other side of the door.
"On my count." Sam said. "One…two…three."
Then, Sam kicked the door open.
Ryan went inside first, followed by Sam, then me.
We all scanned the car garage.
"Clear." I heard Ryan say.
"Clear." I said.
"Clear." I heard Sam say.
I looked around the edge of the garage and saw three doors.
"Three doors." Ryan said.
"What a coincidence." I said. "We're going to have to split up."
Then, each of us headed toward a door.
Once I reached my door, I put my hand on the door knob, and turned it slowly.
It was unlocked.
Preparing myself, I opened the door, and walked inside. Putting my gun at the ready as I did.
To my right, I saw stairs going downward.
I decided to go down them.
I then went down another staircase, and entered a hallway.
I looked to my left, and saw nothing. Then I turned to my right, and saw a man in a chair sleeping by the door.
Keeping my gun aimed at him, I began to walk toward the door.
As I got closer, I noticed the man had bruises and cuts. Fresh ones.
He also had a gun on his lap.
Once I reached him, I carefully took the gun from him, sat it down on the ground, and took my handcuffs out.
Then, without waking him up, I handcuffed his hands and ankles to the chair.
Once I was done, I put my gun away as I walked over to the door he was sitting in front of.
Noticing a latch on the door, I grabbed it and moved it. Unlocking the dor.
Then, I opened it, and walked inside.
And as soon as I did, I saw Emily tied up in a chair. And she had bruises and cuts on her.
"Emily," I said, as I quickly walked over to her.
As I approached her, Emily looked up at me.
"C-Callen?" Emily said, her voice sounding a bit hoarse.
"Yeah," I said, as I knelt before her.
I then took her face in my hands.
She flinched a little.
"Who did this to you?" I asked.
"You should see the other guy." She said, smiling a little.
"I was so worried about you." I said. "Everyone was."
I then began to untie her.
Once she was untied, Emily got up and hugged me. I hugged her back.
"Thank you for coming for me." I heard Emily whisper.
"Always." I said.
I then pulled away a little, and put my hand on her cheek.
Everything I felt for her, came right up to the forefront.
And without thinking, I kissed her, and pulled away.
I then looked into her eyes as she looked back into mine.
