Edd woke up feeling refreshed after peaceful night of sleep, the sun was just on the rise coloring the walls with bright oranges and yellows, a thick arm was draped over his hip and wrapped around his stomach before fingers curled just under his ribs, another arm layer sandwiched between Edd's head and the bed. The dark hair male smiled and breathed slowly, feeling a stomach and chest brush his back with ever intake and air ruffle the hair on his neck every slow outtake. Edd felt safe resting here in Kevin's arms, kissing Kevin's elbow lightly, because it was the closest thing he could reach, thanking Kevin for everything. The love, the understanding, the protection.
Lips touched his back brushing softly as arms helped him turn around, the covers sliding like silk across pale skin. Edd looked up meeting Kevin's tired eyes, who smirked and kissed Edd's nose. "Morning Beautiful." Edd flushed lightly kissing Kevin's lips softly mumbling against them. "Morning to you to." The red head pulled him closer and nuzzled into Edd's neck. "Mmmm too early, to be alive ." He groaned into Edd's neck before slumping against him with dead weight, causing the darker haired male to giggle and wrap his arms around Kevin's shoulders. "Well how about you stay rested while I make some breakfast." Edd offered petting Kevin's head with his finger tips. "Pancakes?" "Of course." Edd giggled, as Kevin slowly released him, seeming iffy about letting go. "Hurry back." Kevin mumbled as Edd sat up taking the sheet with him before he got into his robe. "Heh, if you want pancakes don't rush me." The blue eyed male teased smiling at the weak whine for Kevin still hidden in the covers. " Thought so." Edd chuckled sliding on slippers, leaving the room and heading to the kitchen.

While the house itself was clean, Edd held back a flush at the sight of his and Kevin's clothes from yesterday, adjusting his robe Edd began to pick up the clothes humming softly as he placed them all in the washer, hoping to have them clean before Kevin got up. Once the washer was running, Edd returned to the kitchen and began pulling out necessary things for pancakes. When a knock on the door pulled him away from mixing extra pancake mix, a few perfectly round and golden already sat on a nearby plate. Edd turned the heat down slow and walked to the door, opening it with out a second thought, blue eyes grew wide. "N-"

Kevin woke up with a start the stench of smoke filled his nose with a burn, getting up and reslipping on his boxers and hurrying down stairs. Kevin ran to the stove where a burn crisp of a pancake smoked from the pan, turnning off of the stove Kevin began to look around the kitchen. The pancakes on the plate were cold and Kevin began to worry, "Edd? Eddward?!" He called beginning to search through the house, checking behind each door for signs of the of the male. "Eddward where are you?" Kevin grew nervous,where was Edd? He opened the front door, finding a single blue slipper, lifting it he was sure it was Edd's. Dread filled his veins, as the red head began to panic. He returned into the house and paced the living room before soft buzzing came from the living room. Walking slowly Kevin saw Edd's phone lighting up, quickly he answered, "Hello?"

"Oh thank god K-Kevin." "Edd! Where are you." The red head listened closely, Edd was panting hard into the phone and sniffling. "K-K-Kevin. D-de-dex-" "What did he do Edd where are you?" "He'll get angry. Ke-kevin." Kevin felt his stomach grow cold, "Baby talk to me where are you." A few heart breaking sobs before Edd could talk again. "Eddy. Ch-Christmas cabin. He-" "Who are you talking to?!" The sounds of scuffling and Edd's sobbing grew loud, smacking of skin against skin, and Edd sobbing for forgiveness, before the phone went silent.

The red head swallowed as fear froze in his gut, and angry tears filled his eyes. Fuckin . Kevin shook with anger before he searched Edd's phone, for Eddy's number, Kevin began searching for his clothes, finding them as Eddy picked up. "Yo. Sockhead how have you been." "Eddy!" "Shovel chin, why in the hell do you have Double Dee's phone? What did you do to him." "Now is not the time!" Kevin growled that they were still wet, remembering his jeans were upstairs before be began running up there to get them. "His Ex kidnapped him, Eddy I need to save him." Eddy was silent as Kevin yanked on his jeans. "Dexter has Edd?" "Yes Eddy."

There was more silence, "Did he tell you anything?" Kevin was headed out, grabbing his keys and own phone, before heading outside, locking the door. "Something about a Christmas cabin." Kevin could hear the sound of a door slamming shut and Eddy slightly out of breath. "He took him to a small cabin near Lake Waker, I'm on my way there now." The line went quiet as Kevin ran an jumped into his truck, pulling his coach shirt from the side seat and slipping it on as he began to pull out and drive towards Edd. "Edd I'll protect you."
