Why did that idea came to my mind I don't know… I tried attacking him, I closed my eyes when I saw that it just hit him like dust to a steel beam. He chuckled.

I screamed to the top of my lungs when I felt the energy radiating from his spear elevate me from the ground and pass through my body… I could feel each and every inch of my body burn at the same time. Then he sent me against a bar that was on the side of the room, I could feel the excruciating pain of the cuts bathed in the alcohol of the broken bottles, I coughed blood as I felt him walk to me.

I was trying to get up, I knew that I wasn't going to see my family again but yet I had to try and keep the creep busy… but I needed my wand… even though I was cutting my hands with the broken glass I kept looking for it until I heard a snap above me and saw the two halves it now had become fell to the floor… no time I had to think as his hand closed around my throat and he raised my from the floor.

But before he could move, I found myself on the ground again as the Hulk moved in to help me, I crawled to where the two pieces my wand was turned into, laid. I was able to find some tape… it was stupid… but I needed to fix it… there was silence… Hulk and Loki must have gone fighting outside… I feel as if I could sleep for days… my hand hurt like hell but I went for my intercom… then I realized… at some point it was lost somewhere… I was on my own…
As I walked out I saw Natasha getting to the top of the building to the machine that was creating the portal through which the creatures were coming through, she ran to me and moved the hair out of my face.
-Alex get inside… there's nothing more for you to do
I smiled weakly
-It's… it's going… to be over soon… so I'll better… keep on… fighting…

And I saw it coming, one of them was going straight at us… I knew I had to make a decision… and I knew what it represented…
I pushed Natasha aside and I pointed my wand at the creature, I uttered a spell and I found myself lying on my back while the remains of the creature plummeted to the ground, Natasha ran to help me up as I coughed blood again.
-It still works… my wand… works…
-Alex you have done enough… go inside and hide.
-NO! My family lives here… I… I might not… for long…
I fell on my knees and and Natasha hurried to help me, I coughed blood again.

It was then and there that I felt a sudden flow of adrenaline as a couple of creatures flew against us, I used many spells and fought as hard as I could, even though my vision was blurred and I felt weaker by the second.
-I HAD IT WITH YOU! YOU'RE NOT GOING TO RUIN MY HOME! EVER!
If I had turned I would probably had seen Natasha's eyes opened wide as I began a fierce battle, I knew that with each creature I killed I was killing a part of me as well… I could feel it… it was hard to keep standing up… but I knew… I knew that my family deserved it… behind me I could hear Natasha yelling at the guy who was keeping the portal open, apparently she got Loki's wand… I smiled weakly… we might win… I saw the portal close, yet there were still too many creatures around us… Mom… Dad… Justin… Max… Harper… we… we did… we did it…
Natasha ran to the where the unmoving form of Alex Russo laid. Tears ran down her face as her scanner detected no activity whatsoever in her heart. Captain America arrived along with Iron Man who unsuccessfully tried using the energy of his suit as a defibrillator.
-She was incredibly brave - Natasha said

-I feel great. A little bit strange but great. - the Russo girl said as walked in the halls of Tribecca High
Nick Fury turned from the monitor where he was watching to the table where his team glared. Natasha was first to speak.
-Is she ever going to know?
Nick glared at her.
-She must not. The sacrifice she made deserved that we did something to repay her and her family. - the S.H.I.E.L.D. leader replied
-And the technology used wasn't easy to get either, but she deserved it - Tony Stark added.
-Any word on what happened to her original body? -Nick asked
-None, but we'll find out - Captain America said
Meanwhile, in a dark region of Asgard, Loki glares at the bloodied and hurt figure floating before her.
