Naruto, Daichi, Thalia and Clarisse were standing on the beach, waiting for something would happen. Both boys dressed in their usual ninja armour and other ninja equipment only while the girls were in full Greek battle armour. In addition, Thalia had Raijin no Ken, strapped on left side to near the waist, and copy of Aegis shield that was the appearance of a charm bracelet. The shield was a gift from Athena.
Naruto turned to Clarisse and said, "Clarisse, I've something for you."
Clarisse looked at him. "Huh?"
"I, Daichi and Thalia, we all have magical weapons, but you..."
"I don't have any. Thanks to Water boy," she said angrily. Her electric spear that was given to her by her father was destroyed by Percy in a game of Capture the Flag. She was still angry on Percy for that.
"That's why I'm giving this to you," he said as he pulled out a double-edged jian from his pouch. It was well crafted and sharp. "This is Kusanagi sword. It can cut through almost anything."
"This is not real legendary Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi. It is a replica of the original sword," Daichi said.
"But, it is still dangerous," Naruto said. "The sword is coated in one of the deadliest poison. The last user of this sword was Orochimaru."
"That creep!"
"Yes."
She took Kusanagi from his hand. "Thanks."
"No need for that," he said, smirking, "because very soon you'll start cursing me."
As soon as he said that, the sword's turned into a large white snake. It opened its jaws, revealing two fangs and bit into her wrist hard as she cried in pain. It injected deadly poison in her body. A large amount of blood flowing through her wound, her vision started to blur.
"Clarisse!" Thalia shouted, but before she could run at her, Naruto caught her wrist.
"Don't," he said.
"What?" she shouted angrily. She couldn't believe it; he wanted to let his friend die. "She will die if we didn't help her."
"Don't do anything. The sword is testing her," Daichi informed her. The snake started to grow brightly. "Looks like she has passed the test."
Clarisse fell on the ground. She was panting, but feeling better much than before. Her vision had also became normal. She lifted her arm and looked at the wrist where the snake had bitten into her. There was no puncher wound; instead of there was a snake tattoo.
Naruto suddenly took step back to avoid Clarisse's punch. "Calm down, Clarisse!" he said.
"Calm down! Calm down!" she shouted. She threw another punch at him, which was just passed through him. "What the hell was that?"
"The sword was testing you," he said, avoiding all her punches by phasing through them. "The snake tattoo on your wrist indicates that you have passed its test."
"What?" she said before she stopped punching him. She took a deep breath to calm down herself. "What do you mean?"
"Now you are the owner of the Kusanagi. You can call it anytime," he said. "And it has also given you immunity of most of poison."
"Then why didn't you tell me this before?"
"Because it was fun to watch."
Clarisse threw another punch that hit Naruto's jaw, but it did nothing. He didn't even feel it. "Warn me next time," she said before turning her back. She summoned Kusanagi back in her hand to look at it closely. "Anyway, thank again for the sword. It is beautiful."
Suddenly, there was a loud noise before a strangest ship they had ever seen rose from the bottom of the water. Its deck plated with iron. In the middle was a trapezoid-shaped casemate with slats on each side for cannons. A flag waved from the top—a wild boar and spear on a blood red field.
"Ok, I didn't expect that." Daichi said with blinking stupidly.
"Hmm, the CSS Birmingham." Clarisse read aloud the name of the ship that was on its side. "Oh, it must be from the civil war, what a piece of junk!"
"Then, time to repair it," Naruto said as he walked forward. He lifted his both hands, putting them together in a cupping-like motion. A bluish ball appeared in between his hands. "Arc of Time: Restore!" He threw it at Warship. The ship started to repair itself and within a minute, there was a brand new warship in front of their eyes.
Thalia, Clarisse even Daichi's jaw dropped on ground after watching this.
"Wow!" Thalia said.
Daichi said, "Well, it will look more badass in black."
Clarisse nodded her head.
Naruto looked at Daichi before pointing his finger at the ship as a small black sphere materialized over the tip of it. He sent it at the warship to change its colour to black. The warship now looked most likely a ghost ship because its black colour and pinch black aura that the ship was releasing.
"Now, this warship only needs ghosts or zombies to become a real ghost ship," Thalia said.
"We shall be your crew! Sirs and Madams!" an undead confederate soldier said as he came out of the ship. He was in gray uniform.
Naruto turned to Thalia and said, "Looks like your wish has been granted."
"I need a double cheeseburger with extra sauce and a cola," she said. She noticed everyone, even undead was looking at her oddly. "Well, I tried."

With their great efforts and help of both Poseidon and Hermes, Percy, Annabeth and Tyson were able to sneak out of the half-blood camp and succeeded to get on a cruise ship, Princess Andromeda. It was a huge ship. The white hull was at least ten stories tall, topped with another dozen levels of decks with brightly lit balconies and portholes.
"We need a hiding place," Percy said. "Somewhere safe to sleep."
"Sleep," Annabeth agreed wearily.
They explored a few more corridors until they found an empty suite on the ninth level. The door was open. There was a basket of chocolate goodies on the table, an iced-down bottle of sparkling cider on the nightstand, and a mint on the pillow with a hand-written note that said: Enjoy your cruise!
"I'll be next door," Annabeth said. "You guys don't drink or eat anything."
"You think this place is enchanted?"
She frowned. "I don't know. Something isn't right. Just...be careful."
They locked the doors, but they never noticed a raven watching them from a distance.
Tyson crashed on the couch. He wrapped up his oilcloth and passed out while Percy lay on the bed and stared out the porthole. A few minutes later, he fell asleep and stared dreaming.
Percy found himself standing in a cavern at the edge of an enormous pit. He knew the place too well. The entrance to Tartarus. And he recognized the cold laugh that echoed from the darkness below.
"If it isn't the young hero." The voice was like a knife blade scraping across the stone. "On his way to another great victory."
Percy wanted to shout at him, but a familiar voice cut in.
"Leave him alone, Gramps!" Naruto said as he appeared beside Percy.
"YOU!" Kronos shouted. "I'll never forget my humiliation, son of Hades."
"Whatever!" Naruto said, snapping his fingers as Percy found himself another place. The place was completely white. There was no wall or flooring, there was nothing other than white colour.
"Percy," Naruto said to catch his attention. "I know you, Annabeth and Tyson are outside of the camp, on ship Princess Andromeda. Just be careful because Luke is also there." Then he disappeared before Percy could ask anything to him.
Suddenly the scene changed again and Percy was in a cave—Grover's bedroom prison in the Cyclops's lair.
Grover was sitting at the loom in his soiled wedding dress, madly unravelling the threads of the unfinished bridal train.
"Honeypie!" the monster shouted from behind the boulder.
Grover yelped and began weaving the threads back together.
The room shook as the boulder was pushed aside. Looming in the doorway was a Cyclops so huge he made Tyson look vertically challenged. He had jagged yellow teeth and gnarled hands as big as my whole body. He wore a faded purple T-shirt that said WORLD SHEEP EXPO 2001. He must've been at least fifteen feet tall, but the most startling thing was his enormous milky eye, scarred and webbed with cataracts. If he wasn't completely blind, he had to be pretty darn close.
"What are you doing?" the monster demanded.
"Nothing!" Grover said in his falsetto voice. "Just weav-ing my bridal train, as you can see."
The Cyclops stuck one hand into the room and groped around until he found the loom. He pawed at the cloth. "It hasn't gotten any longer!"
"Oh, um, yes it has, dearest. See? I've added at least an inch."
"Too many delays!" the monster bellowed. Then he sniffed the air. "You smell good! Like goats!"
"Oh." Grover forced a weak giggle. "Do you like it? It's Eau de Chevre. I wore it just for you."
"Mmmm!" The Cyclops bared his pointed teeth. "Good enough to eat!"
"Oh, you're such a flirt!"
"No more delays!"
"But dear, I'm not done!"
"Tomorrow!"
"No, no. Ten more days."
"Five!"
"Oh, well, seven then. If you insist."
"Seven! That is less than five, right?"
"Certainly. Oh yes."
The monster grumbled, still not happy with his deal, but he left Grover to his weaving and rolled the boulder back into place.
Grover closed his eyes and took a shaky breath, trying to calm his nerves.
"Hurry, Percy, Naruto," he muttered. "Please, please, please!"

On the upper top deck of the ship CSS Birmingham, Naruto was sitting in a meditative position. Beside him was Chimera. He had the head of a lion with a blood-caked mane, the body and hooves of a giant goat, and a serpent for a tail, a ten-foot-long diamondback growing right out of its shaggy behind. He looked more feral and powerful than before with his new, darker skin and blood-red eyes.
Naruto opened his eyes. "Idiot."
"What happened?" Thalia asked as she came on deck with Daichi and Clarisse were following behind her.
Clarisse asked, "And who is this idiot?"
Naruto stood up and turned towards them as Chimera stood beside him. "Percy is an idiot," he said.
Clarisse's right eye twitched in annoyance at hearing Percy's name. "What he did this time?"
"He, Annabeth and Tyson, they all are outside of the camp."
"What?"
"Yes. They are all are on the cruise ship Princess Andromeda, which is filled with monsters," Naruto said, shocking both Clarisse and Thalia. As for Daichi, he didn't care about it. He turned towards Thalia. "Another thing is Luke is also there."
Thalia clenched her fist in anger. "Where are they heading?"
"The ship is heading towards Sea of Monsters, especially Polyphemus's island."
"That traitor!" Clarisse shouted angrily. "How did he know the coordinates?"
"There must be a spy in the camp," Daichi said as everyone turned towards him.
Clarisse asked, "You mean there is another traitor in the camp?"
"Yes."
"But why is he or she helping Luke?"
Naruto shook his head and asked, "Clarisse, do you remember Chris Rodriguez from Cabin Eleven?"
"He is one of those undetermined campers who got stuck in the Hermes cabin because his Olympian dad or mom never claim him. Yes, I remember him," she said. "What about him?"
"He is now with Luke."
"What?"
"He is not only one, Clarisse," he said. There was some seriousness in his voice. "There are many demigods like him are now following Luke."
"Traitors," Clarisse said, clenching her fist angrily.
"Not every demigods think highly about their parents, Clarisse," Thalia said as Clarisse looked at her. "I know." She looked down at her feet. "I don't like my father, but that doesn't mean I hate him. I'll never lower myself like Luke." She shook her head and looked up. "Anyway, that ship is clearly dangerous if Luke is there."
"Percy is an idiot," Clarisse said. "Why couldn't he just accept that we can save both Grover and camp?"
"Because it is in Oracle's prophecy," Daichi said. "'You shall fail without friends, to fly home.' Percy, Annabeth and Tyson, They are friends here."
"Maybe you're right and maybe you're wrong, Daichi," Naruto said. "A prophecy will never say exactly what will happen. There is usually some level of choice given to those involved that will affect how a prophecy will come to pass." He turned toward the sea. "Forget prophecy and concentrate on the quest. We'll have to find the Golden Fleece before Luke."

On the cruise ship Princess Andromeda, Percy, Annabeth and Tyson were captured by Luke and his assistants, Agrius and Oreius. They were gigantic bear twins—half-man and half-bear. They were cannibals and disrespectful towards gods and humans. Luke tried to convince both Percy and Annabeth to join him, but they refused him harshly.
"Then you're a fool," Luke said.
Tyson smashed the nearest dining chair to splinters. "Percy is not a fool!"
Before Percy could stop him, he charged Luke. His fists came down toward Luke's head—a double overhead blow that would've knocked a hole in titanium—but the bear twins intercepted. They each caught one of Tyson's arms and stopped him cold. They pushed him back and Tyson stumbled. He fell to the carpet so hard the deck shook.
"Too bad, Cyclops," Luke said. "Looks like my grizzly friends together are more than a match for your strength. Maybe I should let them—"
"Luke," Percy cut in. "Listen to me. Your father sent us."
His face turned the colour of pepperoni. "Don't—even—mention him."
"He told us to take this boat. I thought it was just for a ride, but he sent us here to find you. He told me he won't give up on you, no matter how angry you are."
"Angry?" Luke roared. "Give up on me? He abandoned me, Percy! I want Olympus destroyed! Every throne crushed to rubble! You tell Hermes it's going to happen, too. Each time a half-blood joins us, the Olympians grow weaker and we grow stronger. He grows stronger." He pointed to the gold sarcophagus.
Percy felt uneasy when he saw it, but he still asked, "So, what's so special ..." Then something clicked in his mind. The temperature in the room seemed to drop twenty degrees. "Whoa, you don't mean—"
"He is re-forming," Luke said. "Little by little, we're calling his life force out of the pit. With every recruit who pledges our cause, another small piece appears—"
"That's disgusting!" Annabeth said.
Luke sneered at her. "Your mother was born from Zeus's split skull, Annabeth. I wouldn't talk. Soon there will be enough of the titan lord so that we can make him whole again. We will piece together a new body for him, a work worthy of the forges of Hephaestus."
"You're insane," Annabeth said.
"Join us and you'll be rewarded. We have powerful friends, sponsors rich enough to buy this cruise ship and much more. Percy, your mother will never have to work again. You can buy her a mansion. You can have power, fame—whatever you want. Annabeth, you can realize your dream of being an architect. You can build a monument to last a thousand years. A temple to the lords of the next age!"
"Go to Tartarus," she said.
Luke sighed. "A shame."
"Interesting."
Luke quickly turned around to see Naruto was standing front of Kronos' sarcophagus, looking at it carefully. "You!" he said. "How did you find this ship?" He turned to bear twins. "Stop him!"
But before Agrius and Oreius could move from their spot, Daichi appeared front of Naruto. He made quick hand seals before shouting, "Earth Release: Golem Jutsu!" He expelled ten feet tall earth golem from his mouth that caught bear twins with its hands.
Seeing bear twins were lost, Luke pulled out his sword from nowhere and ran towards Daichi. He swung a sword at Daichi, but Daichi blocked it with his shield.
"Who are you?" Luke demanded, trying to knock Daichi off-balance.
"I'm Daichi, the son of Gaia and the bodyguard of Master Naruto," Daichi said proudly. He was holding Luke without any difficulty.
"What?" Luke shouted. "If you are a half-Titans then why are you with them?"
"I'm only with Master Naruto," Daichi said. He pushed his shield and sent Luke flying backwards. "I don't really care about others."
Luke quickly stood up on feet. He clenched his fist ready to attack again with his blade.
"Enough!" Naruto said as a large shadow spread across the floor and Luke found himself unable to move.
"Why I ca-n't move?" Luke said, trying to move his muscle.
"There is no use for that," Daichi said, putting his weapons back to their places. "You can't move without Master's permission."
"So this is gramps' sarcophagus," Naruto said without looking back at them as he placed his left hand on it. "Well, well, well. Gramps is re-forming."
"Naruto, can you do something?" Annabeth asked. She knew Naruto always had some plan.
"I can't stop him from re-forming," Naruto answered. Luke smirked at this, thinking he had won. "But, I can delay his returning." To Luke's horror, Naruto put his hand inside the sarcophagus and pulled out a golden ball from it as Kronos' sarcophagus lost its golden shining.
"Wha-t have you don-e?" Luke shouted angrily as he struggled to free himself from his bindings, but it was in vain.
Naruto turned to him. "I've delayed his returning, making sure he'll never come as strong as before." He closed his fist as a golden ball in his hand vanished.
"Wh-at?"
"Do not yell at me, Luke," Naruto said coldly. "You should be grateful I am letting all of you alive." He and Daichi walked towards Annabeth, Percy and Tyson. "You three!" He ripped the empty space front of him to open a space–time dimension gate as an image of ship CSS Birmingham's deck appeared inside the gate. "Let's go!"
First, Percy and Tyson entered the gate. Then Annabeth, she looked at Luke before going inside. Both Naruto and Daichi followed after her and went inside as the gate closed behind them.
XXX
They all were on the deck of the ship CSS Birmingham. The ship was riding low in the water like a submarine.
"Welcome to CSS Birmingham," Daichi said.
"What you were thinking?" an angry voice shouted from behind them.
They all turned around and saw Thalia. Her electric blue eyes seemed to glow with her anger much like her father when he was angry. Both Percy and Annabeth gulped in fear while Tyson didn't have a clue what was happening. He was busy with looking at the warship.
"You all are in big trouble." Daichi smirked.
