A/N: I decided to write some dark blackinnon and this is what I came up with! Enjoy!

Marlene McKinnon and Sirius Black were dangerous. Sirius smoked cigarettes after curfew in the clock tower, and Marlene wore red lipstick and pursed them over a bottle of Firewhiskey. They hexed their enemies, and wore crooked smiles that were sharpened to break hearts. They were destructive and broken and burned brightly enough, they nearly blinded the world.

They lived to break each other; if they found the right spots and pushed the buttons hard enough, jagged cracks would appear, and they smiled at the damage. Marlene shoved and slapped and hit Sirius, taunting his past and bringing it to life. Sirius snarled at Marlene and didn't kiss her like she wanted him to. He kissed her softly, and smiled against her burgundy lips. She wanted him to kiss her like they fought, wildly and passionately and walking the line between love and hatred.

No one ever understood Sirius&Marlene. James understood Sirius, and Lily understood Marlene, but there wasn't a soul that understood Sirius and Marlene together. No one understood why they held hands underneath table and stole kisses in dark, unsavory alleyways. No one understood why Marlene glared at Sirius for buying her a drink, but smiled at the jokes not even James thought were funny. No one understood why Sirius let her drive his motorcycle, but never let her wear his leather jacket.

No one understood that despite the fact they were broken and hateful to each other; they listened to the Beatles when the war was too much. They danced in the kitchen at night, and when the nightmares got bad, they slept in Sirius's bed. They cried together when Dorcas Meadowes died, and Remus shut himself away. They kissed, tasting like tears and bitter alcohol.

In the morning, Marlene put on her red lipstick and black eyeliner. Sirius grabbed his leather jacket and his packet of cigarettes. They went on missions, and sometimes Marlene poured Sirius's coffee for him. Sometimes Sirius set out bacon for Marlene before going to see the Potters.

Sirius remembers one time, they fought. They had fought many times, but this time, Marlene only talked about the issue at hand and didn't hit him. This time, Sirius kissed her like she wanted him to. The next day, Marlene smiled at him as she handed him his coffee. The next day, Marlene went to visit her family. Sirius never saw his Marlene again.

He only saw her in her casket. She was deathly pale, and her blonde hair wasn't loose and messy. Some stranger tied her hair back neatly away from her face, and she had been swathed in black. Sirius walked away, and in the casket was a tube of red lipstick.

A/N: I hope you liked it! I was thinking about writing about what happened when Sirius fell through the veil, let me know if you'd read it.
