Chapter XV: seeing double
Icezer started to move as he slowly woke up
"Icezer?" Rage asks his brother
"R-Rage?!" Icezer exclaims jolting up to see his crimson brother "But….how…." he asks
"Never mind that Icezer we have work to do, if we don't get moving we may lose track of Christain and Mephilies." Rage tells his brother helping him to his feet
"They are heading for Christain's old fortress that's their retreat shelter we don't have much time. They plan to shield the place once they get there." Icezer says to the group
"But none of us know where to go!" Nova replies
"Ahem." Rage coughs
"That's right Rage found his way there to rescue us when we were captured by Christain" Sonic exclaims
"So he should know where we need to go…." Shadow says with his arms folded
Rage nods and looks out one of the windows "You guys ready? Once we go in we may not come out." Rage asks
~With Christain and Mephilies~
Christain was fast asleep feeling safe with the fact he could get some rest before Rage's group finds a way in. Christain was awakened by a loud noise from the courtyard. Christain gets out of his bed and walks over to his overlook of the courtyard to see Mephilies down there with six hedgehog like shapes
"Mephilies what the hell are you doing that could make so much goddamn noise?!" Christain yells down to the dark grey hedgehog
"Ah I see you are awake." Mephilies replies
"No thanks to you…. Who are they?" Christain says jumping off of the platform of his overlook fifty feet down to the courtyard.
"These are our foes… however they are their 'others' the dark versions born in this real when they were created." Mephilies says showing Christain the six hedgehog shapes. The hedgehogs were identical to Rage, Icezer, Xage, Sonic, Shadow, and Nova except for the fact they had a darker fur and they all had the exact same jumpsuit on. A dark red and dark grey jumpsuit divided in half red on the right grey on the left.
"Haven't I tried this before?" Christain asks
"Yes and no, your mistake was that they made of dark energy." Mephilies says right before a loud banging is heard followed by battle cries and gunfire
"It appears our guests are here…." Christain grins wickedly
"It appears so…." Mephilies turns to the six dark bodies "Go kill the intruders!" Mephilies says and the group nods and takes off "Heres the best part it's foolproof…. I have it so if we kill Rage the Dark version of him will consume the Guardians Power from him making him just as powerful as Rage himself if not stronger!"
"Well that's great and all but what if Rage kills him?" Christain asks Mephilies
"Then the dark power from the Dark one will be infused with Rage…. Thus giving us the means to encourage the darkness inside…" Mephilies laughs
""You fucking idiot…" Christain growls with a facepalm
"What do you mean by that?!" Mephilies questions Christain
"Rage is immune to darkness! Have you not been paying attention at all this time?! Hell were you paying attention to that the first time we met him?!" Christain yells hitting Mephilies upside the head
"Wait…." Mephilies says "since when was he immune to darkness? He has Dark Chaos does he not?"
"That would be because he has full access to all chaos energy!" Christain growls walking back inside the castle
~With Rage's group~
Each of the members were fighting off groups of guards as they reach the end they put their weapons away
"Rage?" Nova asks the crimson hedgehog
"what is it?" he asks in response
"Do you have a weird paranoid feeling or is it just me?" Nova asks with a smidge of fright in his voice
"I think it may just be you." Rage shakes his head at the question frowning, Icezer makes a loud gasp and puts a large field of ice up surprising everybody. The group turns over to Icezer with angered glares "what was that for?!" the group yells at him
"Hay!" Icezer says "I just saved us from being burnt-" Icezer however was cut off as the dome of ice he made melts to nothing. As the group turns to look at what could have done it they are inches away from identical copies of themselves.
"Well, well, well I see our others have finally made it…" the one directly in front of Rage snickers "Zexceir what do you say we give them a warm welcome?"
"I think that a cooler welcome is in order Xerag…" the one in front of Icezer responds
"Well I'll be damned I thought this place could not get any more idiotic." Rage chuckles with a smile looking Xerag dead in the eyes
"Are you disrespecting me?" he growls at his other 'self'
"no I am complimenting you for the fact that you proved to me that this place is just as dumb and pathetic as those jumpsuits." Rage taunts back
"Are you askin' trouble?" Xerag asks angered by the insult
"No…. I'm askin how long this red retard will take to figure all this out." Rage responds with another insult trying hard not to crack up
"I think its time I show you the door to hell!" Xerag growls creating a ball of dark energy taking Rage and himself somewhere away from the rest of the group who's "others" were doing the same thing after arguing with the rest of the team.
~With Rage~
Rage regains his eyesight to find himself in what appeared to be the center chamber of the ARK where Shadow faced off against the Biolizard. But this time there was none of the orange fluids and Xerag was atop the copied shrine from Angel Island.
"I hope you enjoy the location I put us in…. for it will be your grave for all eternity!" Xerag laughs at Rage
"Just do one thing for me." Rage says back to Xerag
"What would that be?" Xerag asks
"At least try to make this interesting." Rage sighs
"What do you mean by that?" Xerag growls
"It means I don't want you lying dead within a few minutes and I'm standing looking at your sorry corpse upset that you were too easy." Rage replies summoning the Blade of Chaos.
~With Icezer~
Icezer gets up from the fall he took shaking snow off of his face. When he looks up there was a large tower of ice. On top was no other then Zexceir with a wide toothy smile on his face
"Cool place isn't it? I made this ice castle myself." Zexceir tells Icezer
"I could have done better." Icezer shrugs "I'm assuming you want to fight?"
"You read my mind…" Zexceir laughs in agreement
"well then…" Icezer says making two swords of pure ice "prepare yourself!" he challenges his foe
~With Nova~
"Let me guess your Eclise? Oh wait Eliptical" Novas other kept trying to guess Novas name
"My name is Nova the Hedgehog!" Nova yells in response "And who are you? Gordon Freeman?"
"No… my name is Xonva the hedgehog" the hedgehog responds in anger jumping for Nova for a fight
"Some people are just to jumpy…." Nova says avoiding the strike
~with Xage~
"I don't think that this was a smart idea Age!" Xage yells to his other
"How come? The dark world is perfect for me and terrible for you!" Age replies back
"In your dreams! I have just as much dark energy as you!" Xage says running at him for a fight
~With Sonic and Shadow~
"Shadow your ready for this?" Sonic asks
"hmph just don't get in my way!" Shadow says as they charge for the others dark version (Sonic goes for Shadows and Shadow goes for Sonics)
