Chapter 16
"Ally what are you doing here?" he said forgetting about the starfish in his hands.
"Um I could ask you the same thing."
"Well I asked you first." He said putting his hands on his hips.
"Well I asked you second."I said crossing my arms across my chest.
"Touché" he said holding out a hand to help me up.
"Thanks, and to answer your question I come down here every summer."
"Come on Ally I knew that already." He said. This has to be the most serious I have ever seen Dez.
"Oh yeah, I totally forgot. So what are you doing here?"
"Oh I'm filming." He said like it wasn't a big deal. That is so not Dez, he usually gets this sparkle in his eyes, but when I looked at them it wasn't there.
We had started walking down the beach just talking when I felt a hand grab me and pull me back. Still not knowing who it was I was thrown over their back and they turned around andstarted running the opposite way down the beach. Tell by the white swim trunks Icould tell THAT Riker was the one that picked me up.
"Hey you might want to come with us, this will be funny." Ross said walking over to Dez. Oh my god.
"Ok," he said grabbing his stuff, "where are we going Austin?" Oh. My. God.
Riker, Rocky and Ross stopped walking and Dez kept walking. When he realized we stopped, he turned around and looked at us confused.
"Um I'm Ross." He said looking puzzled like it was the strangest thing. Oh my god I'm in so much trouble. Dez and Austin share everything, Dez is going to tell them about me being with a person that looks like Austin but isn't him.
"Oh so sorry it's just I heard about the famous duo Austin & Ally, I'm sorry Ross I am really sorry." He said putting his hands on his shoulders.
"It's ok dude I forgive you." He said giving him a bro hug.
"Thank you Ross."
"No problem Calum"
"Wait what!" I screamed. Since Riker was facing the boys I couldn't see anything. "Riker, can you put me down please?"
"Um Rocky should I?"
"Yeah go ahead; we will get her back later."
Riker did what Rocky said and put me down. I walked over to Calum and I started walking around him and I would occasionally poke him to make sure it was really Calum.
"Um are you done poking me?"
"Wow it is so weird how you guys look the same." I said poking his cheek. "Ok now I am done."
"Good, so what are you guys about to do, because I am done filming for the day."
"Um I don't know probably go surfing again." Riker said shrugging his shoulders. "Yeah I need to practice anyway" I said as I started walking down the beach towards where are stuff was. "Oh and what were you guys planning on doing to me?"
"Like we are going to tell you, when we can save it for later." Ross said with a smile on his face.
"You know just for your information," I said turning backwards so I can see their faces when I tell them this. " I still have the hair dye to turn you guys into brunettes."
"My hair, you can't do that to my precious hair." Ross said clutching his blonde locks like if he were to let go it would fall off.
"And for you Rocky I might be seeing blonde hair in your future."
"You wouldn't dare," he said grabbing ahold of my hand and stopping me
"Who is going to stop me?" I said facing him. I noticed how we were less than 4 inches away from each other.
"Um we won't do anything if you don't do anything."
"Yeah sure."
"that was Awkward." I heard three voices chorused at once.
"Well I'm just going to go practice for the Roxy team try outs so um yeah I'm just going to go and get my board." that was way too close.
I grabbed my Roxy board that was pink at the top and blue at the bottom. It also had a skull in the middle. I ran into the ocean avoiding some crabs in the sand. There werent anybody else surfing so I was the only one out there.
I quickly caught a wave and i did a couple of tricks that i decided I would do to get the judges attention. Then I did my 720 which was the move that would hopefully help me make the team.
Once I was done I walked back to the shore to see shocked faces from everyone. I also saw that Ratliff, Rydel, and Izzy were here and Ryland had woken up.
"Wow Kat that was amazing." Rydel gushed
"You are so going to be a member of the Roxy Woman's Surf Team." Ratliff said
"Dude you have to show me that sick 720." Ross said then ran to grab his board.
"That was horrible." I said putting my board in the sand.
"What do you mean?" Rocky asked
"I was too comfortable I won't be the only one trying out. I will have to fight with 6 or 7 girls for every wave."
"What do you want us to do?"
"Can you surf with me and help me get used to competing for a wave?"
"Yeah we would love too, but Kat I don't have a rashgaurd and boardshorts, or a surfboard."
"Don't worry we can stop by my house, you have extras at my house."
"Ok let's do it. We will be right back." I said grabbing Rydels hands and started walking towards my house.
"Kat what will you do if you make it on the Roxy team?"
"What do you mean?"
"If you make it then you won't be going back to Miami, you know that right?"
"Oh my gosh I didn't even think about that."
