Chapter 5

"Dante"

Dream POV

The room were really white as white as a paper and there's only me and someone that have a really dark aura around him and it was me?

"What's going on here?!" I said. "Who are you?!"

"You have to know me Evan" he said. "I'm you"

"What?!" I said.

"Don't you remember me Evan?!"

Evan wake up with a jolt of surprises again, like his nightmare got no ending for him but it was different, it was kind of darker and stronger like it was taking over him one thing he remember was it kind of feeling angry but he don't know why.

He know that it looked like him but he have a dark energy around him also a dark eyes that were looking at him, Evan wasn't really scared of that what he scared of is the feeling of been taking over by it.

Evan then get up and see his watch it's 07.30, even today is the start of weekend he still getting up early and that's really bothering his sleep just because the stupid nightmare. He first thought that it won't be nightmare last night but he was really….really wrong.

He then just goes down to eat his breakfast and like usual his aunt already prepare for him.

"Evan today you have to go to the Mount Justice to you knows" said Dinah.

"Practice this stupid curse" said Evan while eating his cereal.

"You can't say that Evan" said Dinah. "Sometimes normal people is boring"

"And sometimes they won't except people like us"

"And sometimes they're just bad people that don't understand bla...bla...bla" said Evan.

"Please Evan I know that you're mad to me" said Dinah.

"I'm not mad to you" said Evan.

"I know…I know" said Dinah.

"I'm not mad to you!" Evan said raising his voice.

When he said that all the plates that in the table broke into pieces making Dinah and even Evan scared.

"I'm….I is…" said Evan.

"Its okay" said Dinah while getting the broom. "Accident happen"

"It wasn't an accident" said Evan. "I'm sorry"

"I just lose control of this"

"This…"

"It's okay Evan" Dinah said while hugging his Godson. "Accident happen"

"I even lost control of my superpower sometimes"

"Even Superman"

"Thank you Aunt Dinah" said Evan. "I'm really sorry for the plate"

"I can replace the plate but I can't replace you" said Dinah. "Now shall I drop you off to Mount Justice?"

"No" said Evan. "Tim is going to pick me up"

"Ok then" said Dinah while getting out the door. "Make sure you both wear a helmet"

"Yeah I know" said Evan. "Bye"

"Take care" said Dinah.

"I will" said Evan while closing the door.

After that Tim is waiting in front of Dinah house for picking up Evan, he know that he's just a 10 years and can't go by himself or not he'll get kidnap or worst get killed and Tim is going to be the blame of that and get himself killed by Black Canary. And a few minute past Evan come out with his hoodie and his backpack fill with clean clothes also shower stuff like shampoo and soap, he then get at the back of Tim's bike and on his way to Mount Justice.

"So E, ready for your training" Tim said while waiting for the green light.

"I don't know, I kind of nervous" Evan said. "What if I lose control?!"

"That ever happen before" Tim said.

"Yeah and it's kind of terrible" Evan said.

"Don't worry about it" said Tim while messing with Evan hair. "I'm pretty sure you'll do great"

"H-Hey" Evan said while removing Tim hand. "No on mess with the hair"

"Fine by me" said Tim.

Then when they arrived Martian Manhunter then wait for them also Mrs. Martian prepare a train program for Evan to try. Evan then step out from the bike and now getting ready for the training that he really don't want to do.

"Now Evan let's get start it with some light training" said Martian Manhunter.

"First Mrs. Martian and I will attack your mind and it's your job to defend it"

"Defend it?!" said Evan. "Are you crazy?!"

"I can't even defend myself!"

"How can I defend my mind?!"

"It's okay will learn about it" said Mrs. Martian. "I can't control my power at first but I get the hang of it"

"Ok fine what I suppose to do?!" said Evan.

"First sit down" said Nightwing. "And they can start"

"Fine" said Evan.

When he sat down, the seat then tied him really hard so he can't move a muscle and that's make him worried because of the training his starting and he can't risk his mind being open by any stranger especially an alien.

"Now try to relax" said Martian Manhunter.

"How exactly I'm relax?!" said Evan.

"Stop your whining E" said Kid Flash. "They're the best at this job"

"Shut up Wally" said Evan.

Evan then just relax and try to "defend" his mind even he don't know how but then Martian Manhunter try to explore his mind first and Evan feel it so he tried to shut all the memory inside his mind that he have especially that memory. He then tried to kept Martian Manhunter and Mrs. Martian away.

"It seems that there's something that you're trying to hide Evan" said Mrs. Martian.

"It's classified" said Evan tiredly. "Stay away from that"

"I can't Evan" said Mrs. Martian. "It's that memory can motivate you"

"Then why not?!"

"Stop" said Evan. "It's that what you call motivating?!"

"Yes" said Martian Manhunter. "I'm very sorry but it's the request of Batman to train you so you can't hurt anyone and also yourself"

"But I can't even control it" said Evan.

"That's why the training for Evan" said Artemis.

"I'm sorry" said Martian Manhunter.

Martian Manhunter then start to get inside Evan mind and Evan trying to keep that memory hidden until he can't and when Mrs. Martian almost open it, the dark side of him kick in it and make Mrs. Martian and Martian Manhunter force to get out.

"What?!" said Mrs. Martian. "What was that Uncle J'onn?!"

"I don't know M'gann" said Martian Manhunter. "But we need to find out more"

"DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT" A deep voice rings out through the Mount Justice.

J'onn turns around to see Evan with a furious look on his face his eyes turned dark and dangerous. Various items around the room began rising into the air, flying about as Evan practically made a cyclone around himself. Energy popping, and hissing as it gathers around Evan.

"Evan!?" said M'gann. "Evan stops!"

"No" said Kaldur. "It's not Evan"

"He's more dangerous and darker"

"I don't know why but we need to control him before…"

"Evan isn't here anymore" said the voice. "And you're right Kaldur"

"I'm far more dangerous than you think"

"Who are you?!" said J'onn. "What do you want?!"

"My name is Dante" said the voice. "And no one mess with my master"

"Even you Martians"

"Where's Evan?!" said Nightwing. "What have you done with him?!"

"Don't worry boy wonder" said Dante. "I'm just protecting my master"

"Not like all of you"

"Let him out" said Wally. "Don't even think to hurt him"

"I can't let him out first" said Dante. "His safer here"

"Please he's just a boy" said Kaldur. "He's won't be safe if you imprison him like that"

"Just let him loose"

"Let him out!" Wally raising his voice. "I won't let you control him"

"Wally calm down" said M'gann. "He's going to release Evan"

"I know because I'm going to let him out"

"Don't worry"

"Thanks M'gann" said Wally.

"Evan, stop this," J'onn ordered.

Everything began moving faster. "Or what?"

"You don't want to find out" he projected into his mind.

M'gann and J'onn then uses her power to do some psychic battle with Dante, Evan dark side and J'onn helping her to succeed but it's going to take a while because it's really hard to get inside again.

J'onn and M'gann had only about another ten seconds before stopping Evan would require more than the abilities that they possessed. Reaching out with their mind, and being extremely careful not to kill him, they used their psychic abilities to quickly render his unconscious.

Every item that had been flying around the room shattered on the floor. The leftover energy that his mind had produced coursed through his body in the form of a brief seizure, and Nightwing stepped forward to make sure he didn't hurt himself. As the tremors faded, however, the room was plunged into silence. J'onn moved to scoop Evan up in his arms. He had to get the 'Dante' under control; what he'd just done to stop him would never work again. His mind wouldn't let it…

"J'onn what happen-" Batman started, but he shook his head, stopping his friend mid-sentence.

"Don't let anyone disturb us," he ordered before heading for the basement with M'gann.

Evan awakened far sooner than J'onn had hoped. He just barely managed to set him in a corner inside the Danger Room – the only soundproof room in the mountain and then lock the door before he heard him stirring.

"Well…well…well" said Dante. "I told you to stay out from here"

"Let him go!" said M'gann. "Or else…"

"Or else what" said Dante. "You're going to break his mind"

"Like what you did to your own friend"

"It…it was an accident" said M'gann.

"M'gann keeps it together" said J'onn. "He's just want you to lose your focus"

"Don't worry I won't make that happen" said M'gann

"We need a different approach M'gann" said J'onn.

Evan slowly stood his eyes still frighteningly dark and fixed on his new teacher. "Let me go," he demanded. J'onn didn't answer, so he switched tacks. "Let me go, let me go!" his voice screamed in their mind, his telekinesis lifting their feet off the ground.

"Uncle J'onn" said M'gann.

"Do you, Evan?" he replied aloud, his voice echoing off the walls. "Do you really want to return? We know that your friends believe that you're a freak". We both know differently" he projected into his mind.

"Everyone pretends that I'm not what I am," he said.

"Oh, I know very well what you are. You, Evan Taylor, are possibly the most powerful kid that has ever lived. You have the potential to do many things – great things – but power is all about being in control."

"I am in control," he protested.

"I'd invite you to take a look at upstairs and then say that again." He smartly didn't answer."Your body right now is nothing but a conduit for the energy that controls you."

Slowly, he lowered them back to the ground. "You can't stop it. You can't change me"

"Both of you can't and I'm going to stuck like this"

M'gann gave him a little smile as he stepped closer. "You can do remarkable things, Evan. I don't want to take your gifts away; I want to give you the ability to control them. The power to choose your own future" He was quiet, thinking. "Let me help you, Evan" She offered a hand to him, and after a few moments' hesitation, he took it.

"I want to be in control," he told him. J'onn nodded.

"Turn around" he said, and he complied. Raising his hands over his head, he made a link with his mind. J'onn knew it wasn't possible to teach him control – it had to be forced. 'Dante had to be caged; he'd deal with everything else afterwards.

"What are you doing?" Evan projected into his mind, panic rising as he felt him taking control over her.

"Saving you" he replied. "Saving us all"

Two hours later, they both emerged from the basement mentally and physically exhausted. Evan curled up in the emergency room with his clothes still on and almost instantly fell asleep. Wally and Tim noticed that his friend could barely push back the blanket with his mind – his telekinesis had been severely weakened.

"How is he?!" said Tim.

"He'll survive" said M'gann. "Fiuhhh…, I'm beat"

"Uncle J'onn really has a great plan"

"If I'm alone maybe I couldn't fight him"

"That kid really something" said Connor. "I never see you that tired"

"I know but I can really give up to my new telekinesis brother" said M'gann. "If I can do it with Garfield why can't I do the same to him?"

"Yeah" said Garfield. "You'll managed sis"

"Evan huh?!" said Artemis. "Strong kid"

"Of course remembering who's his aunt is" said Connor.

"I think he can control it" said Nightwing. "I know him for my whole life"

"Yeah" said Wally. "He's a cool kid"

"Even Roy know him"

"Even Roy?!" said Kaldur. "The Roy I knew maybe couldn't get along with anybody"

"We need to train him fast or things like that happen again" said Batman.

"But he's just a kid" said Dinah. "We can't push him like that"

"If we can't train him, he could be a disaster" said Batman.

"He's my godson and you can't tell him what to do" said Dinah.

"Wow" said Green Arrow. "Calm down"

"Fine" said Dinah. "But if I saw you pushing him again"

"We're done Bruce"
